In order to do this, he had to enter into his own body, just like Dante entered hell, studying and analysing himself from the inside, diving through organs, guts and grey matter. Did it work? Yes and no, depending how you look at it. For sure, it helped him in the creation of 3 devastating and introspective EPs, but a lot of questions are still unsolved. Viscera part 3 is the last leg of a journey that disrupted your 2016 and marks the beginning of a new absurd phase for Fango, but this is another story. Rubini’s “Le Cahier de Occelli” marks 10 years! Dedicated to the legendary Group-B Rally era, it was our fourth release and one of the first to elicit a certain interest from the deep-house international scene at the time. To celebrate, we asked two of our beloved artists to remix this definitive slice of Degutibus Music electronica, with the results proving why we love them in the first place. Superpitcher delivered a 14-minute oneiric voyage of “Le Cahier de Occelli” whilst the B-side received a nervous blow-up from I:Cube for “Easyleft Henri” (the track originally dedicated to Henri Toivonen, Rubini’s personal hero).

Label regulars DeWinter & Emma return with 'Unity', the spoken word Spanish vocals interweaving with choppy snare patterns and a room-filling reverberating bass roar that hits paydirt when English vox and a kick hit late in its second half. C&K are local legends Connie & Karina, and while that may not be some punters' first guess for their moniker's meaning, the track is an exercise in restraint and class, jaunty house swathed in dub echoes and hand drums that positively sways when the trombone lead swings in to carry the tune.

Re-leaf Record’s debut release ‘Female Fatale’ lands this September direct from the mix series curator and newly appointed Label Boss, Aldonna. RLF001’s timely arrival casts the perfect soundtrack to sun-soaked landscapes and playful reaches of the club. With EP no.3 under her belt, Aldonna comfortably demonstrates her unmissable flair for 90’s Progressive House and slinky grooves. The 4 track EP stretches a variety of sultry moods, elucidating a musical figure of the Female Fatale, coaxing listeners into a dance frenzy across both sides of the record.

The A-Side launches in stride with the opening title, 'Rush'. A glittery yet dubby track that borders on Piano House, seasoned with twists and turns, edging listeners to submit themselves to the teased drum rolls and breakdowns. Balmat began our journey in 2021 with the release of Luke Sanger’s Languid Gongue. Now, three years later, we turn an important corner as the Norfolk musician rejoins us with Dew Point Harmonics, the first repeat appearance on the label. Sanger’s new album feels like a natural extension of his inaugural record for Balmat: It’s a bewitching collection of esoteric synth sketches that slips unpredictably between consonant repetition, poignant melodies, and gnarled bursts of noise that catch in the ear like burrs in hiking socks.

That natural metaphor is perhaps not accidental. Despite having been composed on Sanger’s diverse array of hardware and self-written software, many of the tracks were first conceived while Sanger was hiking in a particularly wild and isolated section of the Norfolk coast. The field recording that opens the album, on “6am Beach Walk,” was taken on one of his many early-morning walks there, in which he and his dog might go for miles without seeing another soul. The album’s title was inspired by the overnight condensation covering the long marram grass in the dunes, glistening in the early light (and drenching everything coming in contact with it) before evaporating in the morning sun. Indeed, the concept of dew point—the temperature at which water vapor condenses into a liquid—feels like the perfect metaphor for Sanger’s music, in which foggy ambience is distilled into glistening quicksilver orbs, transient spheres of perfection eventually absorbed back into the atmosphere.

A shapeshifting collection of richly detailed and deeply expressive electronic miniatures, Dew Point Harmonics is both a testament to the mysteries of transformation and an invitation to get lost in the wilderness of your own imagination.

'The 12 Moons of Ikutaro', originally slated for release in 1993 tells the story of Shioi, a young girl who embarks on an intergalactic journey to avenge the death of her father. Her journey takes her to the solar system of Ikutaro, where she must visit each moon to defeat the 'Moon Boss', and ultimately destroy the 'System Controller'. Aided by her 'Liquid Sound Device' she undertakes the task journeying between the moons on her 'Model JP8080' and meets various friends and foes on the way.
