Rubini’s “Le Cahier de Occelli” marks 10 years! Dedicated to the legendary Group-B Rally era, it was our fourth release and one of the first to elicit a certain interest from the deep-house international scene at the time. To celebrate, we asked two of our beloved artists to remix this definitive slice of Degutibus Music electronica, with the results proving why we love them in the first place. Superpitcher delivered a 14-minute oneiric voyage of “Le Cahier de Occelli” whilst the B-side received a nervous blow-up from I:Cube for “Easyleft Henri” (the track originally dedicated to Henri Toivonen, Rubini’s personal hero).

For his discographic debut Degustibus has chooses to release Gin Sonic, a tune made by Rubini, an italian artist workin and livin between Venice and Berlin. Gin Sonic is a classy old-school track, made in Berlin but dreamed in a synthy-outerspace. Circular bassline swim in a invincible funky-beat and crush against a wall of synth providing you a sure dancefloor-filler. In addition they commissioned a remix from Berlin-legend DJ Filippo "Naughty" Moscatello. He made 2 versions, impossible to choose the better they included both in the release. Remix 1 is a dubby-hypno ride with a moroder-like dizzy bassline. Remix 2 is a perfect example of the best Naughty style: sharp bassline and vintage-synth blended together in an solid old-school disco journey. Already a classic.

In Fango’s own words: Around 3 years ago I became a father and that changed my life. This record it’s my son’s world seen through my eyes: the innersleeve artwork was made by him and the eye on the label is mine. All the titles are also taken from Carlo’s own dictionary: “E Dee” is the first sound he used to make trying to communicate, it could mean many things. “Mamuke” was mum, “Babuke” was dad, “L” (reads el) was his step brother Gabriele and Cang his step sister Camilla.

Ditongo is telling tales through samples and loops in these two tracks. Divided into two chapters each (spot the ghost-marker on the vinyl), he digs deep into samba for the first time with “Berimbau”, giving the leading role to a hypnotic organ, while the second track “You Know Nothing” goes back to funk, dominated by a fat bassline.

After a steady stream of successful underground dance-floor stables via his Viscera EP series and last year climbing charts with his remixes, Fango returns with his second album titled "GEA". Set for release this forth-coming May 11th via Degustibus Music, GEA is a 10-track trip of eclectic electronica panning across various moods and tempos. Flexings his matured production credits, Fango fuses rock, disco and psychedelic influences, meticulously put together on his machines resulting in a spectrum of sounds to satisfy most palettes. It’s a serenade from Gea to Ouranos, the Greek gods of earth and sky.

While producing the Viscera trilogy, Fango has tried to understand something about himself. In order to do this, he had to enter into his own body, just like Dante entered hell, studying and analysing himself from the inside, diving through organs, guts and grey matter. Did it work? Yes and no, depending how you look at it. For sure, it helped him in the creation of 3 devastating and introspective EPs, but a lot of questions are still unsolved. Viscera part 3 is the last leg of a journey that disrupted your 2016 and marks the beginning of a new absurd phase for Fango, but this is another story. For the time being we leave you with Amnios, Metacarpo and Metulla. This is Viscera 3/3.

Saetta - Prins Thomas Diskomiks : Norwegian dj extraordinaire and space disco heavy-weight Prins Thomas takes SAETTA on a whole new journey, building from the original track with warm funk tinged bass lines, complimented by driving synths which stream around latin folk guitar elements. Retaining the foundation aspects of the original, Head honcho's at music label Magazine, Barnt and Jens, treat TEI with a cinematic flute driven start before mechanically kicking the percussive heavy remix underway. A length mid-track breakdown spurs on a haunting vocal loop over a back-drop of droning pulses before the track kicks back into what Barnt and Jens are best known for.
