After putting out releases from the likes of UK rave legend Warlock and Baltimore rapper Rye Rye produced by Bullion, Dave Maclean of Django Django's Kick + Clap label announces Tom Furse's Run To Me suite with Because Music, due out 9th October. On Run To Me Furse has mapped out the EP as one opus divided into five cohesive parts. Referencing early techno it has one foot in Cologne and the other in Detroit, with its tightly worked, precise machino-florescence, condensed and upfront, and free of the pomposity that abounds in the genre. A sound enamored with Kraftwerk, Juan Atkins and Yello, it underpins a latent narrative on themes of love, machines and obliteration. Furse elaborated further on the inspiration behind the EP: "When I sit down in the studio I'm not always sure where it's going to go, really I just have that drive to create and I use that to explore sounds that interest me. It's a release of energy, no agenda, just expression. The driving visual idea behind this EP was very Sci Fi-based, I had this notion of robots being called to arms ("run to me") by a mother robot, in order to collect suns to build a giant engine powered by 20,000 suns. I know it's not really apparent in the songs, but visual ideas like that drive me forward when I'm making music, it just seems to make it easier, like putting sound to film. " Continuing a stint on NTS as well as remixing for the likes of Sebastian Tellier, Django Django & Connan Mockasin, Furse's ability to maintain a frenetic work rate with a steady lack of concern about genre and readymade platforms or avenues of thought, means the future is a tantalizing prospect for The Horrors man turned solo artist.

Arranged by Godin, Taurelle the original trakc was written by Georg Christian Lehms, composed by Bach and adapted from Bach cantata "Widerstehe Doch Der Sünde BWV 54 ".
Here Bach's church cantata for solo voice meets languid Gainsbourg & Birkin, albeit in German, with exquisite choir and strings.
Nicolas Godin says "I wanted songs on Contrepoint, to act like poles that hold up a tent. This piece starts with a very strange chord, which was avant garde for its day. Bach's scores are outside any rules, which I wanted to exploit. I also wanted the lyric in German because no one expects German to sound sexy and cool. The main singer is Gordon Tracks. The other voice is Dorothée de Koon, a friend of a French artist I know - they both have German blood."
The remixes make the song becoming more electric with Justin K. Broadrick, delightfully atmospheric with Mmoths and cool electronica with Lapalux.
Obviously an ep extract from a masterpiece is also a small wonder.

Berlin based label Mo’s Ferry Prod. is celebrating the release of the 4th studio album by their very own Dapayk Solo. Titled „#nofilter“ the album will be out on Oct 12, 2015. Since 1996 producer Niklas Worgt is regarded as one of the most creative and versatile protagonists of Europes club scene. Several projects for his label Mo’s Ferry Prod., like the „I LOVE VINYL“- Festival or the work on new Dapayk & Padberg releases have kept him busy during the last 5 years.
But finally he came around to spend some „solo“ time in the studio. After having turned to a more melodic and gentle side on his last two album releases as part of the german electronica duo Dapayk & Padberg, „Smoke“(2013) and „Smoke- The Family remixes“(2014), Worgt is now being much more experimental and edgy in his productions. „I wanted the sound to be very focused“- he says about his vision for album #4. More straightforward, more reduced, more
analog and dirtier than „anything i have done before“. On „#nofilter“ he combines elements from his early days in breakbeat and drum’n'bass with minimal
and techhouse to his very own and very unique signature sound - far off the beaten club sound track. Worgt aims to challenge his audience, willing them to see that there is more than just one way of doing things. Well aware of the fact that: „..some of the tracks might not be for everyone at first glance. But
it’s always good to do things in an unexpected way, to change the listeners perspective.“ Niklas Worgt also proofs his provocative and humorous side with the album title „#nofilter“, statistically prooven to be one of the most commonly used hashtags. A keyword, often headlining the fact that a filter has been used. And evidence that all of us like to play with tricks every now and then, to optimize the truth. „I wanted to look at the cliche of the big, gloomy nightclub, where everyone has to be credible and cool all the time, with a hint of humor. For the its 11th release, MindTrip brings together 4 of the most challenging and interesting artists of the current techno scene, presenting two original tracks and two remixes. This record opens with "Ovadoca" from the highly productive Dutchman Tripeo, also known as Darko Esser. Ovadoca is a dark, meandering and trippy track which incorporates rich analogue sounds with a deep, rolling groove - perfect for parties which continue for days not hours.
The second track introduces Finnish DJ and producer Juho Kusti to the MindTrip imprint with his brilliant interpretation of Ovadoca. Juho's take on the track loses nothing of the original's quality and adds eerie tones, additional percussion and a new arrangement, making this version a club friendly roller.
The B side reverses convention and opens with a remix of the final track, Contortions by Jonas Kopp. As you would expect from the Argentinian, the track is a tough, driving chunk of techno. The mood undulates throughout and tension is expertly built throughout in this storming, peak time track.
The original version of Contortions closes the EP. Penned by Simon Haydo - who is well known for delivering consistently high quality music on a range of respected labels like Balans and Stockholm LTD - Contortions is a bass heavy track with a mesmerising hook which DJs and dancefloors will love in equal measure.

Poker Flat's Forward To The Past anthology returns in its 3rd iteration, as lean and mean as it ever was and precision-engineered to make you jack, dream and all things in between. The winning formula remains the same: task a selection of hotshot veteran and up-and-coming producers with recapturing the style and mood of early club music, paying homage to the golden years between 1985 and 1992 when Chicago House and Acid, New York House and Detroit Techno took the world and its dancefloors by storm. The result is a collection of new and exclusive tracks as addictive as the stone cold classics that influenced them - a tribute and, at the same time, the cutting edge of contemporary music production. Welcome back Mr. Quenum! It's been roughly two years now since the Geneve-based artist, DJ and producer released made his Upon.You debut with his single "Rhyme" in summer 2013 and we're extremely thrilled to see his forthcoming three track 12" "Trouble" causing serious dancefloor trouble again this fall.
Getting started with "Colour Pulp" there's no doubt that Quenum is in for some serious action here, fusing an uncomprising, yet minimalistic, hard pumping TechHouse foundation, well-tripping vocal bits and a highly percussive killer build-up sequence this tune is crafted for late nothing but late night abuse.
The title track "Trouble" also relies on Quenum's rolling trademark minimalism and obscured, morphing ethereal voices but adds a little bit of tribal seasoning here and there that perfectly floats alongside quirky synths and a steamy, fever'ish feel that keeps bodies pumping and palpitating through the night until the morning comes. Functional as functionality can get.
Finally "Geneve Never Sleeps" speeds up things on a darker, more technoid level where a dark'ish intro built from muffled bassdrums meets scattered, futuristic percussions before shrieking stabs and scarce, ghostly sounds take over and the unstoppable Techno engine starts to run. Proper machine music that is nothing but pure energy!
