The duo Acid Mondays have brought their quirky forms of house and techno to a wealth of respected labels over the years - Warp, Circus and 2020 Vision to name but a few. Now, Negghead and Lex Wolf can add Guy Gerber’s forward-thinking RUMORS to that list, with their humorously-titled ‘Tacos Per Minute’ EP which looks set to add to the imprint’s hard-earned reputation as a breeding ground for innovative techno. The eponymous lead track features skittering metallic echoes, a pulsing sub-bass, distorted vocals and futuristic synth chords for an atmospheric opener. The first of the B-sides, ‘Mezcalid’ takes things darker and deeper. Rattling, mechanical percussion combines with a satisfyingly heavy, rhythmic bass-line before joining skipping riders for an irresistible groove. That characteristic sub-bass makes a reappearance in ‘Techno Wellies’, a track whose driving drums and up-tempo claps set the scene for a multitude of echoing effects and shimmying percussion eventually developing into a samba-esque piece of techno. The ‘Tacos Per Minute’ EP is a danceable yet quirky techno release, whose attention to percussive detail and slightly dusty feel mark it out as a characteristic Acid Mondays production, sitting comfortably amongst the high-calibre catalogue of RUMORS releases.

R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos. Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension” Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden). Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long. ‘Universal Rhythm’, their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings. Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

La Vie En Rose commences its 2016 campaign with a tight little package from the delirious Ibiza dwelling duo, Acid Mondays. The British lads are well known for their ability to concoct deadly dance floor weaponary for labels such as Rumors, Illusion, One Records and 2020Vision among others and now they’re back on the French label with two hot new tracks plus a remix from Greek grafter John Dimas. Lead track ‘Garaldo’ is a heady stepper with warped, galactic vocal snippets, glowing FX and a killer bassline. Coming in at just over 10 minutes, it’s a trip into the deepest recesses of Acid Mondays cosmic craniums. Lola ED family member John Dimas weighs in with his reinterpretation of ‘Garaldo’, putting the original on a diet and cultivating a slimline, though equally effective version of the track. His delicate use of twinkling melodies, barely there vocals and skippy percussion gives us a whole new piece of music, which is wonderfully restrained. On the flip, ‘Machette’ lives up to its name, with the percussion slicing and dicing its way through a gnarly bassline and bubbling toms. As the track progresses, the pace picks up and we’re gripped by its superglue-esque groove. A trippy breakdown around the five-minute mark is the icing on the cake. SupeR

Guy Gerber - La Sombra
Today, the celebrated multi-instrumentalist and visionary artist Guy Gerber announces his new three track EP 'Dripping Diamonds' on his Rumors label. The rarest of artists in electronic music, Guy possesses the ability to write, compose and record live instrumentation with crushing effect for the dance floor. Dripping Diamonds, the lead song, sees Guy collaborate again with singer songwriter Albertina who previously sung on his renowned Bocat single. The track has been overpowering the dance floor of Guy's Rumors Ibiza Residency all summer and now he’s decided it’s only fair to share. While Guy is famed for his ability to create the worlds leading melodies, La Sombra shows a new level of beauty and cool from him. A song of careless whispers, the track will take its listeners to a deeper place most tracks fail to. It’s Idea 6 though that flexes his live composition capability, bringing in trumpet sections that make the hair on the back of your neck stand while keeping feet moving. An EP, like the artist, that doesn’t fail to deliver.

Guy Gerber - Jupiter Blues
Underground mainstay Guy Gerber is back on his own Rumors label with new EP Leave It On. Across three tracks he showcases his famously emotive and melodic house sounds. Gerber has been a core part of the underground for years, headlining the world's most revered clubs and festivals, collaborating with P. Diddy, bringing all new party concepts to Ibiza, and serving up serene and synth heavy soundscapes that move people physically and emotionally on labels like Cocoon, Italians Do It Better and Rumors. This one kicks off with the lush deep house elegance of 'Leave It On' with its languid bass and live sounding drums. Swirling pads and atmospheric vocals bring a romantic feel to this late-night jam. 'Leave Me' then picks up the pace with more percussive but still smooth grooves, this time doused in sweeping chords that bring sunshine and soul. 'Jupiter Blues' closes out with a cosmic exploration, the gently tinkling keys shining like stars as warm, rubbery drums carry you onwards and upwards. This is another classy EP from Guy Gerber.

Guy Gerber’s Rumors recruits Öona Dahl and Amber Cox aka Slumber for a dose of psychedelic house on the ‘Twin Moon EP’ this May. Slumber’s previous outings for the likes of Nervous, Viva Recordings and Desert Hearts have seen them push an otherworldly, dreamlike sound and this debut for Gerber’s imprint sees the pair turn in the most accomplished expression of their heady aesthetic to date. Across the release, the duo displays their talent for crafting hypnotic and engaging tracks. From the wistful, muted vocals on ‘Envoke’ through to twinkling closer ‘Twin Moon’, understated atmospherics, soft tones and well-considered production take the forefront, leading the listener through their delicate sound. Öona Dahl’s solo work has seen her grace the likes of Watergate, All Day I Dream and DJ Three’s Hallucienda and San Francisco-based Amber Cox’s has appeared on Motek Music and Occultists. A producer known for his eclectic and melodic sounds, Guy Gerber has delivered the brand-new remix package of his very own ‘What To Do’ production, set for release on Friday 26th October. Embodying a varied range of sonic arrangements that the Israeli DJ has become synonymous with, the original was released earlier this year and demonstrates varied cymbal-claps and a wide range of isolated percussive instruments. With &ME spinning his own dynamic rework of the track, the German - who has performed a number of sets across Ibiza this summer, playing at DC-10 ’s ‘ Circoloco’ - adds groove-fuelled elements to the mix, a stark contrast to the deep, and driving style favoured by DJ Jes. A great remix package of the beloved original version of ‘What To Do’

guy gerber - Rumors On The Dancefloor (Part 2)
Following a solid year of releases kick started by Beatport #1 ‘No Distance', collaboration with Innervisions boss Dixon, we’ve witnessed Guy Gerber's RUMORS label go from strength to strength. In its debut year the label has already had guest appearances from Seth Troxler and Chaim, and now Guy himself is set to reveal 'Rumors On The Dancefloor' featuring Miss Kittin. Set to be Miss Kittin's debut appearance on the label and also marking the eighth RUMORS release, 'Rumors On The Dancefloor' is a powerful embodiment of Guy's innovative imprint. Divided into two parts, the release is built around a symbolic whisper and deep bass guitar riffs that follow a galactic-inspired house and techno framework - with part two a harder offering awash with Guy's signature blend of melodic soundscapes and stylish beats. Over on the white isle, RUMORS is also encompassing a hugely successful event series held at Playa d'en Bossa’s beautiful Beachouse. The party has its own unique ethos whereby each week, the lineups can only be discovered by hearsay and word of mouth. In addition to his weekly party in Ibiza, key dates in Guy’s diary include Space in New York, Story Nightclub in Miami and ENTER's Space opening party.

Haunting, ethereal, emotive, propulsive Guy Gerber and Puff Daddy's long-awaited collaborative album project 11 11 will at last be revealed. At once a meeting of two worlds, and yet also a dismissal of those signifiers, 11 11 inverts the recent dialogue between the worlds of hip-hop and electronic music, eschewing simple radio friendly factory fare, for darker, richer, deeper soundscapes. 11 11 is not a project aimed at main-stages and masses, but outliers and after-hours. Guy and Puff Daddy's collaboration was not born out of opportunism, indeed it's disruptive of the current main-stage malaise, and was germinated before the current electronic explosion; it's collaborative and combative, an expression of two outsized creative personalities unfettered, unfiltered, fearless, raw, and after four years of work, almost unrealized. Despite their obvious differences, the duo behind these 11 tracks have crafted an album that feels organic and truthful. Puff Daddy's delicate and understated vocals, Gerber's emotive layering of synths, drums and melodies, 11 11 feels like a nuanced and diverse exploration of whatever powerful force drew these disparate talents together. On paper it's a crazy collaboration, on the ears it's magical. How an underground Israeli techno producer was cherry picked by Puff Daddy as his partner on this project, says a lot about Guy Gerber, and in turn, about Puff Daddy. One of electronic music's most vibrant and contrarian characters, Gerber possesses one of its most singular contemporary voices, his music is both simultaneously haunting and uplifting, its music that inspires you to dance yet is evidently colored by melancholy. Sean 'Diddy' Combs is one of hip-hops biggest and most successful stars, but he is no stranger to the electronic music, indeed he was one of the first hip-hop artists to embrace dance music, and has been making annual pilgrimages to Ibiza's DC10 and Miami's WMC for over 10 years. He has recorded electronic records with dance icons like Felix da Housecat, DJ Hell and Erick Morillo and released the much venerated album, 'Last Train To Paris'. '11 11' is the realization of his long-standing desire to create a soundtrack to, as he puts it, 'rooms I don't belong in.'

Rumors is the hotly anticipated new label from Guy Gerber. This first release is from Guy in collaboration with the legendary Dixon. The fantastic new single comes with a magic remix from Lake People. Guy Geber has never been busier than in the last year or so, shaping up Pacha in Ibiza with his Wisdom of the Glove night. As well as that, he continues to DJ around the world and steer his Supplemental Facts label through the freshest house and techno sounds around. Dixon, meanwhile, is famed for his deep and classy house sound as a DJ and as part of the influential Innervisions crew. His productions are met with a great response, as was evidenced by his recent remix of Mathew Jonson's 'Level 7' on Crosstown Rebels. 'No Distance' is a deep and moody bit of house that builds slowly and surely in expertly crafted layers. With harmonic bell-like melodies, jangling, loose percussion and a killer bass guitar line, it's perfectly poised for the labewls' debut release and sure to make a big impact. Bearing the hallmarks of both producers, this is a serene and seductively musical track that will be the perfect pinnacle of any DJ set. Lake People have remixed the likes of Chymera and Kollektiv Turmstrasse and have released on labels like Permanent Vacation and Connaisseur before now. Their remix reworks the track into something a little darker and more direct. A muddle of rubbery beats underpins trippy melodies and forlorn pads as gorgeous synth lines bring plenty of late night emotion to the track. This is a stunning first release on Rumors that is sure to spread like wild fire.

Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes
from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now
classic original.
Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently
stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats
before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown.
SIS’s dreamy, percussive version sees the German producer in hypnotic, and tracky form, focussing
on the ebb and flow of the original’s tuneful vocoder and synth work that drift across his perfect

Robag’s Pumper-Nikkel remix, for those that missed it some years back, is yet another funky,

Long overdue, we are happy to welcome Damiano von Erckert to Cocoon Recordings with his debut single, bringing late summer vibes that were well worth the wait. Damiano's lovely energy shines through in this EP, resulting in music that blends soulful character with his signature house sound.
“Steam (Staub Mix)” lifts your spirits from the very first beat, and the summery vibe of the housey Rhodes piano brings a smile to your face. Yet, the track retains a somewhat wistful and melancholy feel. Skillful intonation gives the break a jazzy feel, it's this friction that makes it special. Von Erckert showcases his skill with this playful arrangement, sure to have dancers' hands reaching skyward. The second track “Das Was Not Around” is a masterclass in purism, where simplicity meets profound emotion. Swirly synth pads unfold to create a dreamy, immersive atmosphere, pulling listeners into its depths. Despite its introspective title, a sense of hopefulness permeates the track, as if reaching for light through the shadows. Damiano’s approach allows every element to shine, making the deep grooves and ethereal sounds feel both intimate and expansive. It’s a journey of reflection yet imbued with a quiet optimism that lingers long after the final beat fades.
The essence of reduced Chicago drumming is brilliantly embodied in “Roh”, channeling a raw, stripped-back rhythm that strikes with precision and purpose. This forms the bedrock of a composition that feels timeless. The track carries an unmistakable grandeur, echoing the majestic hymns of certain legendary French artists. As the beats develop, they evoke a profound sense of reverence and nostalgia, seamlessly blending classic house influences with a modern edge. It's a track that honors the roots while confidently advancing the frontiers of contemporary house music. "Fantazia 93" is a nostalgic dive into a ‘90s House vibe, channeling the essence of that unforgettable era with authenticity. Damiano's signature sounds are front and center, infusing the track with a unique touch that’s fresh while reminiscent of classic house anthems. The track exudes an Ibiza after-hour feeling, transporting listeners to those sun-drenched days where time seems to stand still. It’s a sonic journey that feels like sunbeams warming the skin, bathing the senses in a radiant, feel-good energy that resonates long after.

(4) Damiano von Erckert – Fantazia 93 (DE-Q20-24-00018)

Track list:
A1. Tropics
B1. Born Again ft. Laura Roy
B2. Japanese Knives
Highlight:
This EP kicks off a run of four releases from different artists to mark the 200th outing of Will Saul's influential Aus Music. It is an era-defining label that has platformed some of the scene's brightest stars way before they broke out. Since launching in 2006, the label has remained dedicated to releasing club-ready music with a cultured edge from deep and melodic house to the earliest bass-driven post-dubstep fusions.
Opener 'Tropics' is a fully live disco workout created by some of New York's best session musicians. The perfect celebratory single kicks off the 200 series with irresistible bounce and funky basslines. Dancing keys overflow with feel-good vibes while the chords have subtle hints of a Marshall Jefferson classic. The stirring 'Born Again' is a lush and sweeping groove packed with exuberant live musicianship, distant cosmic arps and splashing cymbals. Soaring up top are the beautifully pained and emotive vocals of Laura Roy, a Grammy-nominated talent who blends 70's folk and 90's r&b into her own style. After the instrumental version comes closer 'Japanese Knives' with its paddy kick drums and organic hits, tumbling fills and heart-warming chord work. It's a classy house vibe for cosy and loved-up 'floors.
