Rejuve-Nation showcases his talent in various alleys of electronic (dance) music with Crane Song being the prime cut here. Former Rhein-Main homie and Robert Johnson resident Robert Dietz finally has its debut release on Live At Robert Johnson at Catalogue No. 069, which (as you may know) is the local area code of both Frankfurt and Offenbach am Main—where the Robert Johnson Club still holds strong. Being a seasoned DJ and producer, Robert Dietz surely sets the controls to a four-track Vinyl, with pleasing electroid-technoid sonic textures and subtle Acid figures, throughout this EP.
With its playful and uplifting vibe, A1 Kirby might just be inspired by the Jump’n’Run character by the same name, who may be easily imagined along that happy Acid bassline bubbling amidst synth-pads and electroid beats. While Robert's 'Your So Hood' track featured on the Desolat X Sampler back in March, then this will be his long-awaited debut solo release on Desolat, and as one would expect from such a talented producer it is a an striking EP.
'Pherrox' kicks the EP off in startling style. The track has a brooding tone and trudges along, characterised by a sharp beat and a dark distorted vocal, with computerised stabs piercing the soundscape. 'Sweatshop' follows in a different vein and builds, with punchy hi-hats, acid bass, spoken word samples, a panning siren combining brilliantly and resulting in a medley of hedonistic vibes.
Next up is 'Who Am I', which takes a techier-tangent and sees an off-kilter beat, another gloriously manipulated vocal, and percussion spirals effortlessly merge on this mechanical monster. Rounding things up is 'Mind Trap', which is another robotic mutation featuring a disfigured vocal, electronic squelches, and swirling pulses of bass.
On the 'X' EP it is clear that Robert has lived up to his billing as one of the most consistently brilliant producers over the last few years. The X EP is evidence that Robert Dietz has drawn upon all his years of experience to craft an accomplished debut record for Desolat full of distorted textures, striking details and mechanical sounds.

Cadenza's latest release comes from a man who has made an undisputable impact on a host of A-list labels since he first began spreading his unique and invigorating sound spectrum in 2008. Hailing from Frankfurt and dividing his time between a hectic touring schedule that see's him travel the world and his studio where he compiles his exciting and technically compound productions , Robert Dietz joins Cadenza for the second time with the 'Slinger' EP.
Eclipsing the A-side is the percussion heavy and show stopper "Pandemic". Infused with sheer funk and relentless groove from its initial doors, "Pandemic" screams of sweat drenched dance floors, grinding movement and unstoppable force. Rebellious and cheeky in its sexual Latino wriggle yet modern and forward thinking in its structure; tight guitars pluck excitedly between intricate rhythm sections; so fast and furious that lines blur and beats blend in a never ending affair with the dance floor. Steaming ever forward with wriggling motion, this belting house track cannot help but infect as it rises and falls, pushes and pulls until exhaustion. Fitting its title like a glove, "Pandemic" is infectious and gripping with jazzy piano melodies and thunderous musicality. Be water, my friend.” The steadily brilliant French producer Nathan Melja – who’s made the rounds between choice outlets over the past half decade, from Mister Saturday Nights to Antinote, via Ninja Tune offshoot Technicolour and Opal Tapes, seems to have learnt Bruce Lee’s lesson by heart, and his seamlessly fluid, no-nonsense debut foray on K.O.C. is here to potently cement his status as one of Europe’s number one club trailblazers, and one that knows all too well how to turn any dancefloor into an infinity pool of pure liquid euphoria.
Drawing its name from the physiological and psychological process that results in a confusion of one’s sensory perceptions, ‘Synesthesia’ is indeed the kind of club single that shall trigger off massive reaction amongst right-minded bipeds and chromakey house suckers. Straightforward club business done right, Melja’s original is a vivid kaleidoscope of skittish drums, swampy bass stabs and a well-rounded, supremely curvy synthwork, tailored to take ravers on a flash journey through space and time without the help of Richard Branson or Elon Tusk (pun intended).
Called in on remix duty, TTT affiliate and Incienso co-founder Anthony Naples delivers a more fragmented and ambientish variation, though functional and club-ready in its own right. Brushing even wider verbed-out pad tapestries for your brain to wander in, the track expands to deeper organic horizons with a field-depth that can not but recall that of the KLF and Bochum Welt’s emotional soundscaping. Meanwhile, Karenn half Pariah takes care of whelming us deep into more techno-friendly terrains, true to his ever masterly touch for epic buildups and multi-level textural innovation, bringing up the acidic phlegm of Melja’s original as he treats us to a carefully orchestrated ballet of synthetic whorls, contemplative chords and propulsive drum programming.

When we did the first ever vinyl reissue of this 1972 masterpiece back in 2012 it sold out so fast and so many lost the chance to grab a copy has translated into continuous messages asking us to do a repressing of this marvel - which we did and, again, it sold like hot bread. So here is a new edition of this UK jazz masterpiece, this time with a twist :
- Silk-screened cover art : we respect the original design, but have upgraded the printing from regular offset to silk screen to give it an artistic touch!
- In adition to the limited black vinyl edition (400 copies), we offer an ultra limited clear vinyl version (100 copies-only!)
One of the big names in UK Jazz, Neil Ardley was offered the leadership of the seminal New Jazz Orchestra in 1964. Under his direction the Orchestra moved though different styles and changes of personnel, bringing in musicians such as Mike Gibbs (trombone), Harry Beckett andHenry Lowther (trumpets) or even Jack Bruce (bass), some of them also contributed with the writing of some original compositions, making the NJO the root from which the UK's 70's jazz scene was to blossom.
By 1972 the NJO was already defunct, but his legacy remained in the works of its members. Ardley's 'A Symphony Of Amaranths' is a perfect example of what was boiling in the UK jazz scene. It was Ardleys tribute to his idols Duke Ellington and Gil Evans, and featured the skills of some great musicians of the scene including Don Rendell,Stan Tracey, Henry Lowther, Harry Beckett, Jeff Clyne & Jon Hiseman. Side B is inspired by the words of Edward Lear, W. B. Yeats, James Joyce and Lewis Carroll that are musicated by Ardley and feature, among other highlights, Ivor Cutler's narration of 'The Dong With A Luminous Nose' and Norma Winstone's vocals on 'Will You Walk A Little Faster'.

In den zehn Tracks des Albums schafft Ayers eine Klangatmosphäre, die sowohl die Wärme des Sommers als auch die Raffinesse des Jazz jener Zeit heraufbeschwört, alles vor dem Hintergrund des modernen Soul. Produziert von Ayers selbst zusammen mit seinem Engineer und Freund David R. Williams zeichnet sich ELTS durch den wunderbaren Klang des Fender Rhodes Pianos von Phillip Woo sowie die kraftvolle Energie der restlichen Band aus, wodurch eine unverwechselbare Authentizität und Frische erreicht wird. From a 4x5m room stacked with vinyl, ashtrays, magazine drafts, and semifunctional synths, Stompin n Risin rises again—reincarnated but not revised.
Originally a spontaneous ritual from the days of blunted dreaming and one-eyeopen ambition, this track first snuck into the world under a different name (Jacobite Fool, courtesy of those tasteful Belgians at International Feel) and went on to
become a cult curio. Now, it’s back—rebuilt with the very same machines that once hummed beside the mattress, but still left to run wild like they used to.
The rest of the EP stays close to that spirit: music as lived experience, jammed with friends, lovers, and ex-boyfriends (literally). Lucy’s Electricity is a shimmering daydream, born from a jam with Daniele Labbate, recharged by a whirlwind
wedding, and soundtracked by a bittersweet guitar line courtesy of the groom’s bride’s ex. A track for walking into churches—or out of time entirely. A personal favorite of the artist, and maybe the only funeral anthem with this much static joy.
One takes things inward—made with the Moog One for open-air yoga sessions during the era of no-dancing-but-still-dreaming. It’s a sun-dappled, slow-motion
dancefloor where breath and bass align. Love 2 Love closes the circle: an unearthed jam with long-time collaborator and platonic supermodel Hanne Uekermann, revived from hard drive purgatory and infused with new life. A love
song to the music, the moments, and the friendship behind it.
This record isn’t just a collection of tracks. It’s a lived-in photo album, a soft pulse through oceanic memory, a reminder that all sound comes from life, and maybe all life comes from sound.
