The Outer Edge

The Outer Edge is an independent record label from Berlin, Germany. It was founded by Günter Stöppel (better known as DJ Scientist) and merges the former imprints The Artless Cuckoo (2015-2022) and Boogie On The Mainline. It now pools all strength to a new and exciting force in releasing music on the edge, free of genre boundaries, but mostly with a groove. You can expect rare and lost recordings, unissued songs from master tapes or simply music that never got the attention it deserves – from Jazz Funk to odd Krautrock, from Disco and Boogie to Experimental Electronics – it’s a never ending challenge. The Outer Edge is distributed exclusively by wordandsound.net and is connected to the recording company EQX-Music which also houses Equinox Records.
