The electronic musician and Poker Flat founder's contemplative new studio album takes in minimal house music, moody techno and effervescent breaks across 11 unique tracks. His previous LP Paradise Sold alongside Langenberg was released in 2018 to critical acclaim, and described as "elegantly euphoric" by Mixmag. Never Ending Winding Roads is an entirely solo release however, with much of it produced during the months of enforced isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many of the track titles reflect Steve's headspace during this time, with themes of solitude, contemplation and reflection brought to the fore perhaps more than with any of his previous work. Steve's formative musical years were spent during Germany's techno and acid-house heyday, with his love for a perfect groove as apparent now as it was back then. His DJ skills and a keen, innovative ear led him not down the typical path of the early nineties trance and harder dance scene, but instead towards a fresher, hybrid sound-merging stripped deep house, tweaked out acid and more minimal forms of techno and electronic music: a strand of music he fiercely champions to this day.
"My mindset when making Never Ending Winding Roads was completely different to any other project I have embarked on. I didn't have to tour, and instead could focus 100% on writing music without having the dancefloor as a constant influence. This allowed me creative freedom to explore a range of styles and emotions, and as a result, it is the album I feel most satisfied with to date." says Steve Bug.

With 11 brand new tracks, Never Ending Winding Roads is a meticulously produced and deeply engaging electronic album; one that explores various shades of house, techno and broken beat with Steve's celebrated attention to detail and consummate originality. Album opener Lucid Loops perfectly sets the tone, immediately ensnaring you with a hypnotic, undulating synth line and a faintly menacing undertone thanks to hushed, discordant strings and unnerving vocal stabs. This atmosphere of quiet paranoia permeates many of the tracks on Never Ending Winding Roads, most explicitly in the sinewy groove and sketchy, panic-inducing synth line of Locked Away In My Head.
This album more than perhaps any other in his career sees Steve experimenting with broken-beats, to incredible effect. Tracks like A Conscious Machine and Electro Harmonix are melodic, emotionally-rich cuts: burst of radiant optimism that juxtapose beautifully with the album's darker moments. Elsewhere tracks like Yellow Snake find Steve exploring deep, dubby territory, while album closer Upon Mountains is a cosmic, arpeggiated masterpiece: an 8bit computer game soundtrack reimagined as a poignant electro ballad.

Kicking off the new year Steve Bug style – Poker Flat Recordings sets course for another year of quality house music. The label boss himself presents us with the first transmission of 2014 - and the title succinctly nails what to expect. 'Simple, Thick & Raw' contains three tracks that are simultaneously gritty, tough and highly effective. 'The Arpeggio' contains Bug’s signature control of tension – an arpeggiated synth line bubbles along, hardly restrained, on top of a firing drum pattern, resulting in a groove wound tight and packed with suspense. 'Thickest Bass' is also fairly self explanatory pitched down vocal introduces what might just be the filthiest bottom end Bug has ever produced. Steve Bug returns with a brilliant set of killer reworks from his much-lauded 'Noir' album. 'No Adjustments' features the vocal talents of Foremost Poets, and remains one of the standout moments on the label boss’s enigmatic long player. Where 'Noir' explored the themes of light and shade, it was always clear that 'No Adjustments' was one of the more straight up dance floor moments on there, and as such this release is definitely going to be thankfully received by DJs. Steve Bug himself provides one growling, up-for-it rework – a chunky floor wrecking tool that epitomises the sentiment of the vocal – drop it in and stand well back. Long time Poker Flat collaborator Alex Niggemann is also drawn towards the edgy, menacing vibe, constructing a sick groove that builds via a dirty, swirling synth bass and clattering hi hats. Arttu, the Portuguese producer making waves with his recent releases via Royal Oak / Clone, also puts his stamp on 'No Adjustments'. Raw kicks, claps and hats fire this version along, the vocals cut up, treated and tweaked for maximum effect. Steve Bug, one of the world's most renowned artists in the electronic music circuit, presents his fifth and most mature longplayer. "Noir" doesn't deny its roots, but expands the usual spectrum and invites the listener to an exciting listening pleasure.
The title is ‘Noir’. The cover is dominated by the filmic aesthetics of light and shadow. The title evokes a world of shady transactions and secret crimes. Most of the tracks emit a suitably dark and moody atmosphere, with at least three directly referencing the film noir genre – From the well-known classic ‘The Spiral Staircase’, to more obscure ‘Somewhere in the Night’, and ‘The Seventh Victim’. Is ‘Noir’ a concept album? Originally it was planned that way, but in the end Steve found the concept too rigid.
"I play all over the world on a constant basis, and always come back with different impressions", says Steve Bug. "Accordingly, this changes the music that I produce. I’ve had the idea to make a concept album for some time, but on the other hand, that’s not the way I work. My music expresses my moods, and of course, they are always changing. "
The material for the new album was created over a period of three years, which makes its consistency and coherence all the more amazing. The mood is dark, spooked. Over the relentless beats and basslines ghostly sounds swirl and conspire. Although all the pieces are driven by head-rushing beats, ‘Noir’ is more than ever, a listening album. "If I had worked longer on the album, I probably would have replaced even more of the dance tracks with listening tracks", says Steve. "I think a lot of albums in dance music are not convining as albums - more a collection of tracks, than a coherent whole."
‘Noir’ is definitely different. Although the film noir concept isn’t carried through completely, it infuses the spirit of the record in a way reminicent of the sci-fi obsession of Jeff Mills or Carl Craig. In fact, ‘Noir’ could soundtrack a 21st Century ‘Blade Runner’ - tracks such as the pre-released single ‘Those Grooves’ and ‘No Adjustments’, with their evocative spoken word texts, play in to a vision of an apocalyptic-dystopian disco.
‘Noir’ is very much an electronic album. Richer than its predecessor, these tracks easily transcend the merely functional - Steve Bug has injected the harmonies with serious emotion. Avoiding the trap of many house music producers, Steve has resisted the temptation to throw in an album full of live instrumentation, explaining: "the results have never convinced me. You have to find musicians who understand repetitive music, otherwise the whole thing is so watery." ‘Poison of Choice’, with its sensational guitar solo, is the exception - and the result of a technical difficulty. Due to non-compatible plug-ins, access was blocked to a sample, and Steve ended up asking his mixer Hannes Bieger to play the guitar chords. While the recording was made, the idea to add the solo happened and the results were so good they ended up defining the track.
Two of the standout tracks involve sublime vocals from performers Steve has a strong affinity for. Emilie Chick, the Portland born, genre-scrambling rising star brings a femme fatale’s touch of jazz to 'Moment of Ease'. The aforementioned 'No Adjustments' with its driving, edgy groove and out of control synth, is enhanced by the spoken word exhortation to just let the beats flow - the unmistakable work of the Foremost Poet Johnny Dangerous.
Aside from that, Steve Bug has always recorded everything on his own – and similarly, developed his distinctive harmonic knowledge by himself. "I have no training as a musician - I taught myself about harmonies. When I realised that many of my heroes in electronic music, whose music always seemed so rich, was done with the help of others, I have always been a little disappointed". In this respect Steve can be proud about the fact that his experience producing the intricate and exceptional ‘Noir’ was achieved on his own. From the driving opener ‘Tell Me Why’ to the emotional closing track ‘The Seventh Victim’, Steve Bug has crafted a rounded, atmospheric album that throws a long and impressive shadow over most contemporary dance albums.

Steve Bug drops a new outstanding 12” on his own highly prolific Poker Flat Recordings. 'Those Grooves' is the perfect primer for his upcoming album (due out in autumn 2012), and sees the man in fine form - masterfully in control of his sound and producing tracks with a depth of dancefloor knowledge most other producers would die for. 'Those Grooves', the lead track locks into its exquisitely crafted groove early on, holding a taut balance between its individual elements. Mid way through its 10 minutes, Bug drops the tempo and lets the groove breath, before bringing it all back home - an audacious late night club weapon. The flip side is no less dramatic – 'Tell Me Why' creeps up, evolving slowing but surely – before an edgy, freaked out bass line drops over the crisp drums. Only released in October 2006, Anders Trentemøller‘s stunning debut-album „The Last Resort“ already evolved into one of the most successful independent albums of the year. Raving reviews all over the place, various elections as „album of the year“ and solid playlists at the radios express the huge interest in the fantastic album. While 2006 has been topped of with a tour through Australia, the first Trentemøller highlight in 2007 will be the release of „Moan“, the second single from the album. Dreamteam pairing of Defaultman and Sapurra collaborate on this highly impressive 3 tracker for Poker Flat Wax. The two have collaborated frequently before, and with this vinyl only release, the juices are really flowing. 'Paperman' kicks things off - a slinky mid-tempo groover with an edge. The tight drums keep the rhythm ticking over while dub fx and a thick bassline add the drama and suspense. On the flip comes 'Groove Tutorial' - as fair a name as any when the programming is this good. The beat shuffles and chugs along, always staying fresh and interesting, while a minimal layer of other instrumentation adds depth. 'Lessons Cost' rounds off the EP, a full jazzy-house excursion that showcases the producers’ wide ranging talents and ear for rhythmic excellence.

Pavel Iudin is back on Poker Flat Wax with a new the killer four-track EP pressed on green and white splattered vinyl. Inspired by an industrial, technoid vibe reminiscent of Iudin growing up in a city surround by metallurgical industry, the title track 'Framework' is a slinky, crafty burner, built around an irresistible groove. Iudin keeps the extras to a minimum, letting the balance of a few key elements become the track's strength. 'Echelon' works around a tightly woven drum sample before opening up with some beautiful Access Virus synth effects. 'Dummy' is an exercise in restrained deepness - the track has a submerged quality that could work on many dance floors. Last up is 'Automotive' - another groove driven cut that uses a minimum of elements without ever feeling minimal - sign of a producer fully in control of his craft. "Automotive', says Iudin "is in contrast with my other records. I used sounds that are not typical for myself and they led me to something new. Perhaps this is a continuation of my previous track Dubrawa. I was also inspired by the idea of the raw and dubby Wax Only series, using simple patterns and sounds."

Eva Be has been a key figure on the development of Berlin underground club culture, going back to the 90s and her involvement with the Sonar Kollektiv crew that included the likes of Dixon, Ame and Jazzanova, to name a few. A highly talented producer and DJ, this EP on Poker Flat Wax showcases her skillful mastery of house music.

'Delight' kicks things off on the A side, a low slung groove wirth Chicago-esque percussion that pops out of the speakers. Some of Eva's love for dub and reggae is also present - vocals and chord stabs echo and shimmer across the track.

'Breathe' is a little more floor focussed - a hard knocking kick starts this off and the track develops into one of those deep, emotional and driving tracks that get dancefloors into a serious states of ecstasy.

Flip the wax and 'Pills' is the third offering for this release - precise-yet-wonky drums, breakbeats, deep pads and synth lines that gel together into a perfect, hedonistic whole.

Poker Flat Recordings drop a new four track EP from Greek Techno / House producer Thanasis Voulgaris. Under his Kindimmer moniker, Voulgaris has been putting out quality dancefloor music since 2010, including a handful of releases already for Steve Bug's iconic Poker Flat label.

'Merge', the title track sets the tone with a killer, propulsive rhythm, adding chopped up organ stabs and shuffling funky percussion. 'Swift Changes' has a similar deft touch, all slinky chords that bring about thoughts of the classic Detroit sound, while adding his own signature take. 'It's Coming' is a little harder, with a booming kick and tricky hats, before opening up into another deep bomb that will keep the more discerning floors in raptures.
'Ride With Me' flexes its funk - the groove jacks a little harder and the vibe is definitely ready to make the basements sweat.

The Last Resort - a beautifully crafted, astonishing masterpiece, that will leave you breathless. The 13
instrumental tracks together form a wordless musical story, almost like the soundtrack of a movie. It
manages to capture a whole range of emotions in subtle melodic miniatures, dreamy ambiences, dusty beats, deep dub-tracks and driving groove-excursions. An ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours and moods. Although it's an electronic album, it also incorporates live-drums, guitars, bass and other acoustic instruments like celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and even DJ scratching to create a more organic feel. release we are happy to finally present, for the first time, the full album on vinyl. It spans of three vinyl discs and is packed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve which also holds a download-code. The recut has been carefully crafted from first generation, orignal masters by Calyx in Berlin. Since the album has been praised for its fantastic sound the primary directive was to cut the lacquers for the re-issue so that they would sound exactly the same as the original release, which has been the CD version of the album. No 'digital remastering' or any other alterations have been applied.

Poker Flat label boss and genuine dance music legend Steve Bug teams up with Langenberg for this excellent two track EP.
Langenberg has released an unfathomable number of dancefloor fillers under various monikers on labels such as Drumpoet Community, Mule, Ovum or Styrax Leaves - and recently released his debut album "Central Heated House" on Dessous. Langenberg is also one half of the project Ribn.
'Chord Cluster' has summer anthem written all over - deep yet euphoric, spacy yet danceable, and ultimately a deeply emotive piece of house music that will bring smiles to faces all year. The rhythm track is tight yet remains loose and funky, while the pads and synths dip into just the right amount of acid to keep the ravers lost in the moment.
'The Teaze' treads similar ground - arpeggiated pulses lead the arrangement, while a Chicago-influenced groove brings a shuffle to proceedings - the joy in the track is evident - it's clear the guys were having a lot of fun in the studio.

Returning to Poker Flat, he teams up with the mega talented Cari Golden for this killer three track EP. Cari hails from LA, an accomplished singer & songwriter and a part of band Narcotourist. She lends her skills to 'Never Go Back' a lush yet edgy deep bomb built around slinky groove shot through with Vincenzo's trademark drama and tension. Cari brings the track to the next level with her vocals - both seductive and cautionary.
Smash TV (Holger Zilske and Kai Preussner) bring a sick remix to the table with their version - heading to deeper territory and seemingly primed for the after hours vibe.

Pavel ludin returns to Poker Flat Wax with a gripping four-tracker showcasing his myriad of talents. Born and raised in Eastern Siberia, Pavel Iudin found his way to the underground scenes of Moscow and Saint Petersburg where he firmly established his credentials. The Probe EP finds him at the height of his powers, serving up some serious burners. 'Probe 2' is a throbbing, deep roller with shimmering synths and a shuffling, evolving groove - one for keeping the floor on lock whatever the situation.
'Halo' has more classic feel to it, clearly a nod to the Chicago masters of the 90s, but maintaining a tough and fresh feel that is all ludin's own. Half way though, things really open up into thick, swingy vibe via a killer bassline and snappy percussion.
'Probe 3' is more acidic outing - although never resorting to the iconic 303, the track is a lysergic journey into dubbed out tech-house.
Closing out the EP is 'Groundlevel' - a driving, loopy groover that uses ludin's feel for atmosphere and tension to the max. The whole EP exudes a steely-eyed mastery of the studio and the dance floor - making Pavel Iudin one to watch over the next months.

Cologne's electronic music community keeps on giving, drawing on a dense plethora of fresh talent ready to shake up our little big grassroots industry. The latest ace up the city's sleeve must be Tim Engelhardt, part of a new breed of incredibly versatile young producers that get their cues from all sorts of genres and listening situations, combining profound musical knowledge with intuitive playfulness and multiple perspectives on sound. In Tim's case, we're dealing with a solid pianist background - which becomes rather obvious in the great care he takes over harmonies and an expanded melodic structure. However, that's just one side of the story, as the organic fluidity and atmospheric dexterity of his music most certainly hark back to an upbringing among the rolling hills and sprawling forests of Germany's Westerwald - one of the country's best known mountain ranges that has already inspired artists such as Dominik Eulberg or Gabriel Ananda.

Having released your first recordings at the tender age of 14 - as Tim did in 2012 - might put you in a "wunderkind" category - a flattering, but ultimately risky proposition, finding many a prodigy overwhelmed with the dubious honour. Not so much our hero, who chose to put his skills to work: in only four years, he grew his portfolio with plenty outings on labels such as Traum Schallplatten, WIR, Babiczstyle, Amuse Gueule, Ostwind Records, Popart Music, Playmusic Productions, Parquet Recordings, Manual Music and more - but his breakthrough release was hands-down the 2015 EP "Everything Is All You Have" on Steve Bug's iconic Poker Flat imprint, followed by "Enigmatism" on the same label. Something definitely clicked, as Poker Flat Recordings now proudly presents Tim's debut album "Moments Of Truth", the first full-length survey of his sonic savvy and a terrific listening experience to boot, which will find its connoisseurs in both the club and at home.

Mihai Popoviciu has carved out a reputation for being one of the most innovative producers of electronic music active in Europe today. The man from Romania has established himself both as a highly respected producer - releasing on labels such as Highgrade, International Gigolo and Dessous - and as a killer DJ performing all over the world. 'Fiction' is his 4th release on Poker Flat Recordings, and delivers four distinct flavours to sink your teeth into.
'I Should' is a slinky groover, with a slippery, evolving bassline, tight, funky percussion and a sultry female vocal. Working just as effectively early in a set as a peak time moment, it's bound to get rinsed in the coming months.
'Twisted' is a little harder - a straighter beat signals a more heads down approach, and the bassline is sure to trigger some dancefloor scenes wherever it gets played.
Next up is title track 'Fiction' which perhaps makes a reference to Mihai's background, with fragments of Eastern European melodies woven into the beautiful synth work, all tied together over a spacey yet driving rhythm track.
Last but by no means least is 'Interconnected' - a straight up deep bomb with echoes of classic Chicago deep and acidic house in its warm and sensual vibe.

Kings of Tomorrow's place in electronic music history is well assured. One of the alias' for New York legend Sandy Rivera, K.O.T. helped define the early 90's New York house sound with a series of key releases that climaxed in 2001 with the global smash 'Finally' - truly one of the house music classics. Happily, Sandy Rivera is still making killer, soulful house music and this latest release on Poker Flat Recordings continues to showcase his immeasurable talent for groove.
'Kaoz' is a bumping, attitude-full jam rich with thick, punchy drums and a driving synth pulse - topped off with a stunning spoken word vocal from Divine Essence. 'Kaoz Dub' does a lot more than strip the track of its main vocal elements - the groove is rebuilt as an edgy, tension-filled underground house banger - breaking down into a devastating bass section.
Dario D'Attis - the Swiss born DJ and producer who's also known as The Funk Ensemble - delivers a fine remix that perhaps draws on some the 90's influence that K.O.T. defined, producing a bumping, building epic track that seems destined for heavy rotation amongst those in the know.

James Dexter has been incredibly prolific over the last few years, with numerous taste-making labels show-casing his ear for refined, dynamic house music.
With his first release on the Poker Flat Wax series, the young Brit drops three new mission statements from the underground, each unified by a slick production sensibility and irresistible feel for groove. Voices is a deep bomb - a shuffling, kinetic rhythm with oceans of space for subtle melodic elements and textures. Spread out over eight and a half minutes, this is one to get lost to.
Point Blank's deep pads and detuned kick drum reference Detroit's classic house sound, the raw drums and vocal snippets adding a truly basement vibe. Area 51 is another atmospheric late night jam, with a bumping rhythm track and subtle pad washes - stripped down and weaponised for the serious dancers.

The Acid mix gives an opportunity for the guys to get busy working the 303 to its full (un) natural potential, while the Morning Light mix locks into a cosmic vibe - shimmering synths over a smooth, rolling deep house vibe.

Mennie hails from Italy, and had fast been gaining a serious reputation on the underground, both as a resident at Club 999 in his home country and as a talented up and coming producer. Teaming up here with the Frenchman Julien Sandre, this is an international project that will hit home with DJs and house lovers globally.
The Night Riots EP kicks off with 'Partitions', which sees the boys in sparkling form - twisting and teasing a sick groove out of fairly simple sources.
'Darth J' follows a similar path - the devil is in the detail, and Mennie and Sandre get down to some serious beat science, punctuated with some subtle chords and vocal stabs in the process.
'In A Pixel World' reveals the pair's love of classic Chicago vibes distilled though French Touch, bringing in a super funky groove
filtered though various effects and processes, and paying homage to the timeless sounds of early Daft Punk.
'No More' closes out the EP with a yet another weapon - a ray of house sunshine that skips along on a fidgety beat offset by filtered strings and chopped up vocal stabs. It's got summer written all over it.

OUT OF PLACE ARTEFACTS, the collaboration alchemizing the sounds of german producers Rødhåd and .VRIL, embarks on a new sonic exploration with “II” on Rødhåd’s label WSNWG.

This second longplayer ventures significantly deeper into the spheres of electronic music - exploring a wide range of abysmal drums and breaks as well as focusing on flickering sound sketches and elusive noises whose origin will have to remain a mystery for the listener. It aims to leave them in inexplicable realms between the dance floor and deep listening, unfolding its magnetism beyond genre definitions.

Throughout the listening experience, one is exposed to bewildering surprises such as traces of lightheartedness and stronger use of samples, vocals and strings. “Universian” invites a softer tone, revealing a more seductive, gloomier and poppier facette of the duo.

The closing track “Triskaideka” concludes the journey by featuring classical musicians Angelina Delgado (Violin) and Alexandra Ivanova (Viola).

OUT OF PLACE ARTEFACTS considerably developed the rapport between both artists' contributions for this LP- merging them into a more harmonious, yet very distinct expression. Lee Holman's forthcoming release, 'NECH026,' marks his return to NECHTO, following his 2022 EP on Nastia's imprint. With an uncompromising underground ethos, Holman has built a solid international reputation through his distinctive techno sound. His performances as a live act and DJ have taken him to prestigious venues like TRESOR Berlin, Khidi Tbilisi, and Corsica Studios London. Known for his vast record collection and dynamic performances, Holman's productions have earned international acclaim.
The upcoming EP evolved organically, with three of the five tracks being part of Holman's live shows for NECHTO events. The lead track, "Wave upon Wave," was recorded live after an event in Kyiv, while the other two were from a session at Khidi Tbilisi. Holman initially did not plan to release these tracks, keeping his live performances unique for each night. The bonus track, "It's Not Over," features a beautiful vocal piece and soulful techno accompaniment.

WRWTFWW & Palto Flats Records are ecstatic to announce the highly-anticipated reissue of Japanese percussionist Midori Takada's sought after and timeless ambient / minimal album "Through The Looking Glass", originally released in 1983 by RCA Japan.

Considered a Holy Grail of Japanese music by many, "Through The Looking Glass" is Midori Takada's first solo endeavor, a captivating four-song suite capturing her deep quests into traditional African and Asian percussive language and exploring contemplative ambient sounds with an admirably precise use of marimba. The result is alternatively ethereal and vibrant, always precise and mesmerizing, and makes for an atmospheric masterpiece and an unparalleled sonic and spiritual experience.

The fully licensed reissue is available as a single 33rpm LP and a limited 45rpm DLP, both cut directly from the original studio reels (AAA), at Emil Berliner (formerly the in-house recording department of renowned classical record label Deutsche Grammophon) for the 45rpm DLP, and at the equally famous Frankfurter SST Studio for the LP. It is also available in CD format for the first time. All versions come with extensive liner notes.

Bio

Midori Takada is a composer, multi percussionist, and theater artist renowned in Japanese vanguard circles. She will tour Europe this year.

Midori released two solo albums: "Through The Looking Glass" and "Tree Of Life" and wrote music for Tadashi Suzuki's theater plays. Her hypnotic, minimalist music is based in the concept of coherence between sound and the human body. She performs solo on marimba and other percussion instruments.

She debuted on the scene of Berlin Philharmonic, performing with the RIAS Symphonie-Orchester Berlin just after graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1974. She continued her career with solo concerts in Japan and abroad.

In the 1980s Midori began to explore the traditional music of Asia and Africa. Her fascination resulted in joint projects with Kakraba Lobi from Ghana, Lamine Konte from Senegal, Farafina Band from Burkina Faso, and Korean musicians: zither player Chi Seong-Ja, flute player Won-Il, and saxophone player Kang Tae-Hwan. She also led Mkwaju Ensemble's innovative percussion project and still performs with free-jazz band Ton-Klami with Kang Tae-Hwan and jazz pianist Masahiko Satoh.

In the past 20 years, Midori Takada spent more time in theaters than in concert halls - composing and performing live music for theater. She regularly works with Tadashi Suzuki and his Suzuki Company of Toga on their adaptations of "Electra" and "King Lear".

Takada's compositions have a remarkable way of affecting the imagination. Her minimalist, contemplative music is filled with the concept of infinity and reminds us of a moon voyage, falling stars, a journey into the ocean, or a walk in the garden. The trans melodies, initially simple, begin to loop and splinter, their rhythm breaking and thickening, slowly drawing the listener into another reality.

Every live performance Midori Takada gives is unique and prepared especially for that occasion.

Blitzzega is the electronic project of Bjorn Eriksson.
Bjorn is a famous Antwerp composer, guitar player and lead member of bands like Maxon Blewiitt, Eriksson Delcroix (together with his wife Nathalie Delcroix, better known from female folk group Laïs) and The Broken Circle Breakdown Bluegrass Band (responsible for the mighty soundtrack for the highly acclaimed movie "The Broken Circle Breakdown"). Although Eriksson grew up with country & western he – like many others of his generation here in Belgium - fell in love with electronic music thanks to the NEW-BEAT mania in the late 80s.
Chavalo, Blitzzega's very first vinyl maxi, is a groovy sing-along electro bomb. It features the fantastic voice of Nathalie Delcroix and comes in 4 variations: Original version, a remix by Bjorn Eriksson himself, a remix by Milan W (JJ Funhouse, Ekster) and a remix by acid overlord Freddie Fresh (Analog, USA).
