Key Selling Points
The word 'Icosahedrite' refers to the geometric figure icosahedron, and arises from the idea that the EP is an amalgam of electronic music styles with many other aspects of traditional musical genres, like jazz or blues. Metaphorically, those genres act as the multiple sides of an imaginary icosahedron. Something complex yet solid that sits outside of the conventional emerges as the final result.

A1 "Phason Jazz" - This is a track where conventional jazz structures converge with electronica, and the influences Eduardo gets from Miles Davis and John Coltrane shine themselves. Twisted keyboards patterns mixed with delays and deafening effects form a place to get lost, and eventually repetition becomes hypnotism and turns into an automatic trance.

B1 " Mr Dewey D" - Mr Dewey D is referring again to Miles, and his first and second surnames.This song is much more influenced by Dark Comedy (aka Kenny Larkin) and all the records that he throws out on the french label "Poussez" titled "FunkFaker: Music Saves My Soul" Blues breath tirelessly in this composition where there is not much time for an objective analysis and where everything finally leads to an insane ending.

B2 "Rhythmic Soundscapes " - This track is, I guess, the most conventional part of the EP, Nonetheless, it retains special qualities. Floating pianos with delays are combined with bass sounds that go back and forth, forming a musical piece with techno sensibilities that I hope will give opportunities to the most daring DJs.

Abstraxion once again delivers another twist to his exotic musical tale with "Trance Body Music". A four track collection
of 90’s-infused club rockets. Hi-NRG sounds that traverse the trance-techno-rave intersection.
Lead single ‘Whole’ is a distorted and relentless number that hammers along with skewed vocal chops and lashings of
bounce. ‘Gold’ however, is a more pushy heads-down affair. It's ramped BPM and vocals muster dewy-eyed Bonzaimemories, whilst harnessing the free spirit of the resurging eurodance movement.
Next out of the rave cannon comes ‘Force’, with its fierce tempo, jittering synth stabs and playful melody working
together to create a tidy dancefloor moment. The show is brought to a close with the bubbling title track Trance Body
Music. A perfect, almost soothing, finale to a wonderfully energetic adventure.

Making her debut on Biologic Records, complete with a remix from Steffi, here we find the talented Belgian artist strapping up her rocket boosters for a four-track trip into infinity. It takes in influences from dark matter to Detroit, black holes to Brussels.

‘Aurora Space Station’ is a beautiful rave-inspired breakbeat floatation piece that sets the scene, poking fun at the mega-rich who can afford to seriously entertain the idea of leaving this planet for dust. More thrust is added by the deep space electro of Steffi’s thumping remix. Both have more power than all the fossil fuel Bezos and Branson have burnt in the last 10 years.

Deeper into the cosmos we probe…. ‘Neptunian Sea’ takes off from Chicago, fuelled on an intoxicating combo of acid and Italo. ‘Love Bus’ brings the anti-gravity heat with a heavy, hip-writhing nod to the jazz spirit of UR’s Galaxy 2 Galaxy movements.

We might not be able to afford a holiday in space, but we can afford great art like this. The dancefloor has always been the most effective place for teleportation. Ready for take off?

‘Badman’ ignites the smouldering sonic session with a slow-mo swampy low-end vibe that tips its cap just as much to jungle as it does techno thanks to its sense of tension and classic samples. Remix-wise Nathan Micay continues to unfold that immersive signature he’s been developing on LuckyMe with a breakbeat driven remix that brings aspects of trance and classic electro into the mix.
‘Damâa’ takes us even deeper into Malcolm’s reference-heavy mix as he teams up with fellow Parisian resident Glitter for a sublime Moroccan mission. Once again slow and moody, from its measured percussion to its rising harmonics, the mystic allure is pure and palpable in both the full vocal and instrumental forms.
We’re bid adieu with ‘Schaerbeek’. Powerfully unhurried, scant on kicks and heavily layered in psychedelic acidic layers, the real payoff happens in the last two minutes. We won’t spoil the surprise but whatever end of the bass spectrum or hardcore continuum you dwell, you’ll be all over this one.
Fresh, exciting yet completely entrenched in the rudiments of all things rave, bass, techno and soundsystem, Malcolm has fine-tuned an exceptional blend of elements here. We hope to hear a lot more from the young producer as he continues to forge his own unique path.

And neither will Simple Symmetry’s remix. Another thoughtful remix pairing from Biologic, here the Moscow brothers provide a flip that’s as similarly ageless as Yu Su’s; slower, heavier and rife with references, this one recalls the influence and energy of a young Coldcut when they first got fully paid.
Finally this pop-up Baltic/Slavic threesome end the release with the heaviest, most intense tune of the set. ‘Black Market Weekdays’ is a hot slab of rolling technoid drama with more eye-raising surprises than a truck load of knock-off DVDs and more weight than a tonne of counterfeit Rolexes. Having established himself as a vital figure in the Brussels music scene, Biologic Records co-founder DC Salas
presents his debut album 'The Unspoken'. The 10-track LP features collaborations with fellow Belgian electropop
duo Joy Wellboy and Mirror Minds.
After a string of dancefloor oriented EPs, he draws inspiration from his live act and diverts away from the club to
explore the more melodic aspects of his sound. More than just a format, the album structure is used here as a
method of storytelling, using the spontaneity of live music making to express varying emotions without restraint.
Lead single 'Cala Falco' is a slow building track that treads carefully between warmth and melancholy, using subtle harmonic progressions to play with the mood of Joy Wellboy's vocals.

Title track takes cosmic melodies and layers them in polyrhythmic forms to hypnotic effect, whilst 'This Love'
uses skeletal percussion to carry retro-futurist melodies.

Many of the tracks produce textures that are only achievable with the use of hardware. From the sombre
harmonies and crisp drums of 'Victor' to the swelling tension of 'Enfant Bruit', DC Salas masterfully navigates his
equipment to create emotive and powerful sonic spectrums.

The entirety of the production process was done with close friends, including mixing by fellow label owner
Harold Boué (aka Abstraxion) and a video collaboration with Victor Pattyn.

Abstaxion and Kasper Bjørke return for their second collaboration on DC Salas and Abstraxion's Biologic Records imprint. 'Matin + Nuit' is a 3-track EP out in April. Biologic records aim to explore the relationship between organic and analogue, natural and urban. This idea of polarity is addressed here through the themes of morning and night. 'Matin' is a ten-minute journey through a glistening landscape. Celestial arpeggios and subtle dissonances are grounded by a hypnotic bassline and restrained percussion. 'Ivre' (drunk) takes an emotive turn. Disorienting acid bass winds its way through mournful harmonies and overcast melodies, held together by a spirited rhythmic pattern. 'Nuit', naturally, progresses into darker territory. There are familiar elements of disco, but they've been mangled to create something far more twisted. Abstraxion returns to his own Biologic Records to release this impressive revisited album - giving Tuff City Kids, Kasper Bjørke, Vessels, Clarian, Conforce, Mattheis, Ripperton, INIT, Eduardo De La Calle, Cleveland the freedom to have their own take on tracks from Abstraxion's 'She Thought She Would Last Forever' LP released in October 2016.
Ripperton's first mark on Spazieren is one of meticulous sound design and textures complemented by a poignant vocal that provides a wicked ambience. Abstraxion's career has already seen many highlights, two of which have been the label he runs with Belgian producer DC Salas reaching it's ten year anniversary this year and playing in some of the best clubs in the world. With his obvious talent and ability to create a pensive beauty in his productions, there is no doubt Abstraxion's career will continue to reach new heights. Full of reveries and hybrid explorations, Harold's second full length 'She Thought She Would Last Forever' evokes images of landscapes and forests. A stretching dark and dystopian atmosphere pervades the album, but he still manages to mesh the melancholy with an overarching and swelling euphoria. Contrasting themes of melancholia and exploring the tensions between expectation and reality. The explorative nature of the album is articulated clearly through Abstraxion's use of minor chords and organic sounds.

'When You Left' is an EP that overcomes sadness. Times can be rough, but it never lasts forever. This
original material is complemented by two powerful remixes: One from the mysterious Cliff Lothar, who
is supported by people as diverse as John Talabot, Delta Funktionen and Radiohead's Thom Yorke. The
second remix is done by the Australian producer Inkswel (BBE).

This EP is an important step for the producer as he prepares his debut album 'The Unspoken' which will be announced by Biologic Records in the coming months.

Not only is this his first solo EP on the label since a few years, it's also the second release to celebrate Biologic's 10th anniversary year.
Resonance comprises of two original cuts and three remixes. Going from a peak time techno track by Matrixxman to a house rework by Fort Romeau and a disco infused version by Massimiliano Pagliara, the EP not only represents the label's diverse sound but also Abstraxion's own productions and ever evolving style. As a next step, Abstraxion will release in 2016 his second LP She Thought She Would Last Forever, mixed by Francis Harris (Scissor & Thread, Adultnapper) and on which he already received support from his inspirations/ mentors Dan Snaith (Caribou) & John Talabot.
