ANIMALS009 sees French producer Benoit B make first contact with Melbourne's Animals Dancing after releases on Into The Light, Berceuse Heroique, Unthank, Versatile and his own Banlieue.

On 'We Come In Peace', Crystalline FM synthesis meets tight drums across four PSY FI tracks that showcase the producer's shapeshifting style.

'Drums Symphony' layers undulating rhythms from crisp drums, Arps, FM Bells & SFX that ebb & flow, building to a driving dance floor trip. 'La Retraite Des Rockers' conjures Sakamoto & Vangelis in '82 with eratic perc, warped metallic sfx & ominous pads that find balance with a glowing synth lead & syncopated bass. The title track, 'We Come In Peace' is a balearic trance stomper where swirling 303, pitch bending leads & glistening synths cascade across a pulsing bassline. 'Dreelkrugz Conquest' is lysergic mid tempo electro with gated synths hovering above a growling baseline and flutters of heavily affected synthwork.

On Animals Dancing's eighth disc, Dazion aka Cris Kuhlen lets rip with three psychoactive, percussion-laden mind benders for all good dance floors.

A tweaked vocoder mantra speaks in tongues across interlaced layers of live percussion on 'Yu Go Bah' before sirens ring in the distant chants.

Blood Moon takes the marching band down to the basement, fusing more twisted percussion with electro squelch to soundtrack the sweat rain down from the heavens.

'The Chant Of Celebrational Beings' beckons in a sunrise as the last inklings of serotonin jerk a tear to your eye.

Sourced from recordings of a live set from 2014, Animals Dancing famiglia Jonny Nash & Suzanne Kraft (Diego Herrera) originally created these tracks in L.A. ahead of a series of live performances together. After some finishing touches made in Jonny's studio in Bali in 2016, Animals Dancing are very excited to finally launch these two to the club.

This record is a tribute to the club « Le Malibv » which recently closed and where D.KO held countless parties. « Le Malibv » offered the opportunity to a lot of young Djs and promoters from the new generation to present themselves in the French capital. Typical of Jaar’s pieces, ‘WOUH’ threads sparse arrangements, quirky gulps of sound and electric ambiance in a complex tapestry of engulng harmony. The anthemic ‘Love You Gotta Lose Again’ moves into contrasting boundless activity with broken beats, triumphant singing and pleasant guitar licks. US born and meanwhile in Berlin residing Kevin McHugh aka Ambivalent presents his Cocoon Recordings single debut. Ambivalence seems to the be the musical direction here. "Daylights" is a sheer technomonster, musclepacked and full of dark detroit flavour but the used vocal samples and the harmonic synthstrings can't hide the magic touch of "Daylights". Although the massive techno bassline is the star of this track we are sure it will find its way into the sets of many house DJs, too.
In contrast to that "Swung Out" appears way more like pure techno and cannot be filed as house at all. We are hypnotized by the shuffled rim shots and hi hats and Ambivalent drives this one straight through the dub universe. Techno is the destination and the dark vibe of "Swung Out" makes it a perfect after hour weapon.
