Ahead of the full release of Nelcorpo, Dissonant is thrilled to be sharing the first taste of Re- UP’s debut album with this three-track single. The whole project is a continuation of a relationship that reaches back to 2010, when the celebrated Italian duo made up of Leo and Omar first collaborated with Marc Antona on The Owl EP. For this sample record, three powerful tracks have been selected that reveal what an exciting, highly detailed listening experience the full album will be. There is of course a club-friendly thrust to all the cuts, as you would expect from this pair of producers, but there are lots of other moods at work which reveal themselves through the course of the tracks. From the start “The mole” paints a vivid picture of crooked, rusted textures, using layers of
rough and metallic found-sounds to whisk the listener away into their dense, percussive headspace. “6AM” equally has a rich sound world to get lost in, using a bed of forest textures as a comfortable backdrop in contrast to the piercing impact of the lead synth. On the strength of these three tracks, the album holds much promise as a landmark release for both Re-UP and Dissonant. “Two in a Row” meanwhile takes its time in building up the tension, working
with a locomotive urgency and yet maintaining a voluptuous appeal to the rhythm section of the track. More

Having kicked off 2012 with stunning ep's from tINI and himself, Dissonant boss Marc Antona looks to the labels Italian arm as Leo & Omar, aka. Re-UP, step up with their latest double-header.
Its been a busy start to the year for the pair with releases and remixes for Little Helpers, Safari and their own Kina Music imprint. February also saw them work their magic on the remix of tINI's "Shmooh's Raisin Theory" for Dissonant. Re-UP's music with its housey touch and hypnotic rhythms is a perfect fit for the label. Their ability to create a smart and energetic vibe together with tightly locked and driving grooves is comparable to that of Antona himself.
Lead cut "Freedom Seed" is as deep and coiled as they come. At home in the sweat-filled basements as its sure to be on this summers terraces, it's spoken word vocal and druggy groove is set to draw in the unsuspecting… Equally as deep and serious yet with a slightly tougher edge is "Chew Part." Its heavy drum pattern rolls along effortlessly making it the perfect tool for the floor.

After only just recently raising our glasses to our 50th Upon You release, here's number 51 just waiting in the bleachers...so basically we're on our way to number 100. Our Italian friends Re-Up have rustled up this very promising release called "The New Mood EP". Why
the name ? I hear you ask. Well these two Tech-House experts have dug deep to give us A1 with it's ecstatic drum rolls in "Darkness" , A2 gives us the title track with its dubby-chordy kind of sound, like magically pulling the reins on an Indian horse. "What Else" they ask
themselves on B1 while they gallop over the UY parcour to end this little journey with "So Good" on B2.

Our spanish collegues Oel Polygon have redefined themselves. Leo and Omar cobble on together as a Re-Up in musical togetherness. Nonchalantly as usual- the two keep on cooking crispy Tech-House to the limits and let the heart of the club-gourmets melt away. Between Venice and Barcelona they have peeled especially pretty models out of their sequencer. "Inside Us" is telling us a lot about the drive of the record and strives with tough techno-vocals the hit pig across the Upon You court. Once you've wrapped out the A1 bon-bon you'll find yourself greedily diving into the B-side, which- together with "Phonobox" and "Dos Por Dos" skilfully completes the box of candies.

Following his widely celebrated Macro Habitat EP of last year, Santos returns to Dissonant to deliver another three tracks, laying down detailed rhythms that shimmer with the infectious energy in which the man has made his twenty-year career on. "Garlic" is a roving thrill-ride that hangs on to the commanding groove as it whips through a dense landscape of sound, constantly moving forward with an energy that speaks to primal instincts. That leaves it to "Invisible" to get deep in the dub, letting masterfully handled delay and reverb pulse out a spiritually enriching techno mantra.

The title track "Outside The Box", featuring Zay De Mello, is the perfect club track, full of hypnotic percussion that pushes forwards with an unstoppable energy, while the well-selected vocal samples add an extra layer to the impeccably mixed dancefloor journey. "Doctor Who" takes a more subtle approach, using minimal rhythms and space to create an unpredictable feeling. As the track comes to life in a cycle of crisp drums, the natural and mechanical beats interlock seamlessly and channel the spirit of another mysterious speech into the funky, tribal workout.
