marc antona - Unrestricted
Tracklist EP:
a. Hanging Gardens (Original Mix)
b. Unrestricted (Original Mix)
Short info:
Marc Antona has been always in the pursuit of new expressions within music as he has continually demonstrated with his work. Following the jazz-infused adventures of the Rattle Snaps EP, he finally returns to his own turf to lay down another crucial exploration of beat science. “Hanging Gardens” is a masterclass in immersive programming, fusing the natural feel of live drums with crisp electronic tones that hover in a spacious mix. It’s the perfect
angle at which to appreciate the subtlety of sound design that goes into every inch of Marc Antona’s productions, teasing elements in and out of the mix so gracefully, it’s hard to tell where the joints are. The haunting touches of chords and lingering pad are deployed with poise, the intricate percussion progressively rising and falling throughout to create a truly immersive sonic journey. Where the A side deals with angular rhythms and a shape-shifting atmosphere, “Unrestricted” takes the sound palette of organic and electronic elements and feeds them into a rolling, techno-minded focus. The tribal thrum of the beat fills out an ‘in-the room-ambience’ while the psychoactive synth flurries speak out the pulse of the machines. It’s a combination that makes “Unrestricted” as intimate as it is exotic. In combining these disparate feelings within his tracks, Antona once again brings a human feel to the technology, pushing the music into exciting new realms in the process. More

UPC: 827170414969 Release: DATE 11.2.2013
Tracklist LP: A1 - Trio Tree B1 Natural Spy B2 Highly Convinced
2012 was a ground-breaking year for Dissonant. With releases from tINI, Re-UP and Leix, we continued to push new and exciting sounds, whilst building our very own family of artists. Having kicked of 2013 with a fantastic debut from Chad Andrew, we ready ourselves for the return of label chief Marc Antona, as the gallic groove purveyor delivers yet another brilliant brace of tracks. Lead cut 'Trio Tree' opens with a weighty throbbing bassline and moist shuffling brush work. As the snare snaps cleaner the first bubbles of acid sound. Filters fired, we're reduced to the snare and acid as we tentatively and impatiently wait for the drop. Hands to the heavens! On the flip Marc creates another rich musical tapestry and he allows his off kilter drums and scattered sounds and fx a life of their own before pulling them together with metronomic mastery. Dramatic and suspenseful, 'Natural Spy' is the perfect soundtrack.

UPC: 827170414761 Release: 05.11.2012
A1 - Sorry for the violence B2 - That's the way to do
Its been six months since we enjoyed the freshest sounds from Dissonant boss Marc Antona. The release of his "Darwin" ep for Truesoul and our heavily supported "In Flagranti" ep, bookended April of this year and saw Marc preparing for his summer residency in Ibiza. The party island played the perfect host to the Frenchman as electrified the floor of Marco Carola's hugely successful Music On parties. Three months on the spiritual white isle was always set to influence and inspire and it was these experiences and special moments that Marc sought to share through his new productions. Our first taster of these summer sessions is the double-header of "Sorry For The Violence" and "Thats The Way To Do It." We are treated to trademark Antona grooves powered by organic percussion and crisp drum work that gives both tracks an uncluttered spacial feel. You can sense the summer breeze flowing through each. As the winter chill draws closer our new Dissonant release allows us to hold tight, those final rays of sunshine.

Marc Antona, - Ipso Facto
Having been wowed by tINI's Dissonant debut, label chief Marc Antona returns with his first new work since the November release of his fantastic long-player, "Rules Of Madness." A brand new double-header from the Frenchman is lead by "In Flagrante." Joining forces with Aber Costa, the pair present yet another joyful example of Marc's innate ability to harness the most exotic of grooves whilst showering us with a dizzying array of sounds and samples. It's Nordic conversation is wrapped in beautiful organic percussion, as handclaps and rubbery basslines ripple throughout before ghostly chains ring out the closing beats. "Ipso Facto" on the flip is a pure example of stripped back house. Beats, hats and an elasticated filtered riff open the show before the snare rolls usher in from the depths a throbbing wave of bass.

After launching Dissonant in 2010, not only did Marc Antona put out three highly praised EPs on his label, he also turned his own vision of organic electronic music into a full length album "Rules Of Madness". Marc releases now the fourth and final vinyl extract, 'Rules Of Madness - Part 4', a perfect place for two uncommon creative tracks that reveal the very wide range Dissonant can bring to your ears!
"Last Taboo" beholds the A-side and portrays the delicate, coy and ambient side of 'Rules Of Madness', yet keeps the rhythm shaking. This is the track of well-accepted contrasts: an incredibly melodic ethereal piano flitting between tranquillity and minor-key chaos on one side; a strong growing rhythm, almost recalling tropical forest tribal dances on the other side! "Last Taboo" is the finest example of how emotions can change from one minute to the next, supported by its tender piano turned into a hypnotic house gimmick at the end. As we arrive at the half-way point, a rounded bass line storms through to take full control, forcing us to surrender to its undeniable funk.
On the flip, a charming and witty character stars in the "The Hammock Spider Story": his spellbinding tale of drug-taking spiders brings warmth and humour to this release. Set over a captivating rolling rhythm and a strong melodic line, the hammock spider weaves and builds in a percussive and freaky manner. However, he is not the only character in this tale; his musical counterpart spins a web of movement with bounding bass lines and hissing closed hats perpetuating the groove. Aside from this, there is also beauty within "The Hammock Spider Story", with a bed of subtle strings and sexy bells mirroring the hats. An inspiringly unique take on electronic music.

Producing and releasing his explorative and unique electronic music on labels such as Mobilee, Highgrade, Freak N'Chic or Micro-Fibres for years, it was in 2010 that Marc Antona felt the time was right to embark on the entirely independent project Dissonant. Over the year that followed, not only did Marc put out three highly praised EPs on his label, he also built and nurtured its concept to what is now the home of his first full length album .Rules Of Madness.' Exposing the hidden grooves within the beats and kicks, “Rules Of Madness” features ten tracks of organic music full of hidden melodies and underlying emotional ambience whilst keeping the pumping vibe experienced in his dj-live sessions. Thru his first album on Dissonant, Marc shows his own creative vision of what he wants to be sexy underground music. “Rules Of Madness” opens with “Guru,” the album's sense of shy mystery and intrigue revealed with muffled demeanour and secretive rhythm. Just afterwards, “All Against The Law” introduces the next main thread: analogue field recordings that celebrate the fascinating and often unheard soundtrack of everyday life. These recordings, coupled with the poetic sampled vocals on “Illegal” and the humorous and charming “Hammock Spider Story,” serve to create a beautiful and honest thread to Marc's tracks. Marc Antona's Iberian influence is laid bare throughout: the ten tracks coming from his studio on the white island of which he fondly says has "so much contrast between the peaceful nature and the amazing clubbing scene, with so much energy that ideas are plentiful when it's time to make music .” Weaved with exactly that contrast, tracks like "Prohibition Circus" and "Crush To Pulp” play with raw organic hand claps, groovy feelings and the sprinkling bells of ambience. What makes them so compelling though is the atmosphere that they ricochet within; crunching machinery combine with bounding bass and beats to fuel the dance floor. Throughout his journey and discoveries as a musician, Marc's passion for "creating musical trips, taking people into his world and making them enjoy the changes of moods from happiness to melancholy, from energy-pumping moments to relaxing deep waves" has developed and is now clearly on point with an album that fully delivers. Whether it is through "Home Rebels" adult maturity or the thunderous energy of "Fast Track,” racing like a stampede of dancing bulls through the album's core, there are discoveries and new dimensions found within each track and at every new listening. For the mind and spirit, but also for the dance floor and everything in between, “Rules Of Madness” is built like a multi-experience journey, as a musical story that twists and turns and can be listened to and felt from beginning to end. An initial sampler with three album tracks, “Rules Of Madness - Part 1” is already out on vinyl. The remainder of the album will be released at the end of August and into September 2011 on three vinyl cuts as well as a mixed CD. .'Rules Of Madness” follows a constantly layering structure, an ever-changing direction and Marc's plethora of inspiration projected from within. Marc Antona's “Rules of Madness” is the best proof that techno can be sensual.

For the third vinyl release of Marc Antona's "Rules Of Madness" album, Dissonant reveals three more unique techno trips. Featuring "Crush To Pulp", "Guru" and "Illegal", this third vinyl extract from Marc's album discovers new dimensions within each quirky piece and follows its ever surprising musical direction. "Crush To Pulp" embodies what you would dream of to be happy sexy techno. Led by a heady subtly harmonic gimmick and whipped to hypnotic hysteria by the rolling bass line, the track's tension constantly rises while maintaining its positive mood. Creativity is at its top when the beautiful harmonic layer whirls around in an unpredictable evolution, making the refreshing break so unique… Our next story is "Guru", which unusual sound shaping makes it a real matter of joy for advanced listeners. It's telling an equally visual tale as its predecessor, though this time even more underground, and through a multitude of imaginative field recordings that conjure mental images, forcing us to ask ourselves to what stage this intriguing audio belongs. After a mysterious intro, a snatched vocal cleverly breaks our bodies into the music as the kick arrives, levering a funky and hidden groove from within that although barely heard moves us subconsciously. Our instinctive human rhythm takes hold and stirs a sexual prowl. "Illegal"-the last of the album tracks to appear on "Rules Of Madness Part 3"-delves into an entirely different musical spectrum. Light hearted, full of sheer euphoria, "Illegal" is the sound of Marc Antona's influential Iberian studio let loose. Hidden singing melodies are on the way, as well as humorous and subversive vocal snippets. Illegal shows the very various faces hypno can take !

Marc Antona's .Rules Of Madness' album on his own lovingly crafted Dissonant label is in full force, it's works now trickling through in vinyl packages. For the second installment of .Rules Of Madness', leading track “All Against The Law” and his full-acoustic brother “Spring Pack” open the three vinyl release sequence that will bring the entire album to the decks. Like a tremendous and thrilling novel, “All Against The Law” starts the journey by setting the sexy and intriguing atmosphere. From the very beginning until the bitter end the hypnotic and metallic triangle tickles, its gently dissonant and mysterious sound taking the role of the second but essential character. Taking time to grow, the first half of the track lets tension subtlety build, no help of hulking effects needed or used. The core trip then begins; its story triggering with the psychedelic honk of a passing train that builds the exhilarating and huge melody repetition of the track. Voices then emerge, the organic sounds begging insistently as the sloping tension becomes steeper and the obsessing and nonchalant rhythm reachies new levels. Freaky with its subversive voice yet harmonic with its ever-changing pad, the track evolves sharply and switches constantly between melancholia and joy. This fusion of sensations shapes “All Against The Law” as something for the floor as well as for the mind. Picking up full speed and using every sample, glitch, sound bite and beat to culminate; “All Against The Law” becomes a truly original rhythmic journey. Second up is album track “Spring Pack”. Using equal amounts of intriguing and analogue field recordings as the A-side, “Spring Pack” manages to permit another feel all together; a fiery and acoustically groove ridden sensation. Rich but low-leveled piano lays as a bed to the hovering crackles and twitching twists fly above. Strangely though we barely notice it's presence until the hypnotic kick arrives and forces our movement. Rising from below and becoming increasingly dominant as “Spring Pack” evolves; the piano's swamped initial presence breaks free and races to dance impatiently with live, tight drum fills, jazzy percussion sections and a hooky vocal loop. Through his first album on Dissonant, Marc shows his innovative vision of what he wants to be sexy, underground music. Following on from this two track vinyl, .Rules Of Madness' Part 3 & 4 featuring the remaining album tracks are imminently to be released.

It may only be three releases old, but Marc Antona's Dissonant imprint is fast becoming renowned for the quality of its releases. With all of them originating from the creative mind and fingers of Marc himself, this is of little surprise... As 003, "Not The Fool" still dominates the dancefloors, helped in no small way by its impressive Reboot remix, Marc readies himself to unleash 004 and this time its an Antona full house. With his new album "Rules Of Madness" due for release in September, Marc delivers a choice taster with the first of three vinyl Ep's. With the following two slated for release in August and September and with a 'live' mixed version of the album due to be available on CD, we are set for a fully-charged Antona summer, all kicking off today with 'Rules Of Madness - Part.1'. Contrary to its name, lead cut "Prohibition Circus" sees Marc in a far from confiscatory mood. Indeed, quite the opposite. We are being treated to a hell of a show. From the opening earth moving kick drum we're once again locked in a groove, as our Ring Master teases by dropping the rumbling bass, increasing the tension studiously and then feeding our craving with a wave of the flute, as the bass drops with gusto.
The bass continues to rule on "Fast Track." Whilst its name inspires haste, the slower tempo brilliantly serves to accentuate the raw power of Marc's bassline, underpinning the rolling onslaught of the drums. Never peaking, "Fast Track" effortlessly and ironically chugs throughout. From the diesel power of the previous cut to the delicate deepness of final track, "Home Rebels." The trademark bass throb is still present, yet its the xylophone melody
and sparkling percussive elements that draw us in, allowing us to lose ourselves within the track. Yet another world class performance from Marc and with it still only being release number 004 for Dissonant, we can only be excited at the thought of whats to come from both!

Marc Antona, - Not The Fool
There is always an air of excitement in the office when the new Dissonant drops with us. it may only be on its third release but Marc Antona's wonderfully fresh new imprint is making waves, and for all the right reasons. There's no relentless PR entertaining, popular genre chasing or laptop-loving 'live' collectives here. No fuss, no bluster, just incredible music. "Not The Fool" is the next installment from the label and sees Antona in sparkling form once more, backed by a stunning remix from, Reboot. Launched as a new platform for Marc's solo and collaborative productions, Dissonant has already impressed with its first brace of releases. The debut "Rootz" EP and its follow up, Marc & Re-Up's "The Owl" found instant success and have gone to become staple set moments for many. "Not the Fool" sees Marc once again showcase his unnerving ability for bringing together the finest and slightest of sounds and teasing them together, layer upon layer to create musical magic. "Not The Fool" is yet another Antona production where the piercing top end playfully toys with a floor shaking bass. And his layering skills ensure that the tracks organically develops throughout. This is true heads down, locked on material. From one ultra reliable producer to another, and Dissonant are happy to welcome the forever on point, Reboot. Turning the drive of the original on its head, the German producer takes us on a meandering, bass-heavy, percussive ride into the unknown.

“George Is There”, takes rich chords running through delay and reverb while maintaining a pronounced house groove with perfect and subtle touches of jazz into the track, invigorating sonic experience aimed at both, the mind and the dancefloor.
“Below the Earth”, This is a perfect example of Cardace & Perazzini’s exercise of restraint, keeping the mood simmering while still displaying their love for ear-snagging samples in between the folds of the track.
“Really Low Mind" sets a thrilling tone straight away with a rolling drum beat taking the lead and subtle tonal sweeps filling in the space around. It’s a testament of skills when sequencing drums, not least when it peaks after a tantalizing breakdown.
“Night Train” sits easy on the ears but there is a deep level of production at work that reveals itself as the heavily processed samples of instrumentation starts to unfurl halfway through the track.
“Sangi”, the head-spinning construction places the emphasis on the low-end frequencies and works subtle threads of synth and sound effects around an exciting and hypnotic techno pulse.
Noir Jungle is an ambitious project created by Cardace & Perazzini, that works perfectly as a vehicle to introduce their very personal sound besides a great studio skills. It’s a significant addition to Dissonant ‘’catalogue’’, continuing the label’s commitment to forward-thinking electronic music. More

a1. Grow Box a2. Noir b1. Jungle Terrace
Tracks Info:
Dissonant is back with a very significant new signing, Cardace & Perazzini and their most complete artistic statement to the date displayed in two parts. "Noir Jungle - Part I", sets the tone to this exciting project where the talented Italian duo explores different dimensions, taking house and techno as basis to build up with amazing diversity a truly unique style on top of it.
“Grow Box” engage you into a fascinating mysterious route, using strong undercurrents of sub bass and spacious reverb processing, to inspire a truly immersive experience. The detail in the drums is paramount, constantly evolving throughout the track and propelling the metallic textures and spoken word samples towards a dynamic end-point at the deep end of the techno spectrum.
“Noir” leads the way with a catchy hook rooted in cinematic jazz samples that flirt with the crisp drum programming, creating a piece that moves gracefully between tight house rhythms and loose live sounds. This juxtaposition gives the track a natural flamboyancy as well as an atmosphere of seduction, without ever losing sight of the fundamental funk at the heart of the Cardace & Perazzini sound.
“Jungle Terrace” leads the way with a dynamic, enchanting workout that rides on an hypnotic experimental synth tone and a many-layered groove built from organic percussion. These drum licks and wooden ripples lend a natural feel to the track as it twists through crafty edits and a mysterious vocal sample, creating a truly distinctive dance track in the process.
This is a record that gives the taste of the forthcoming double-pack, introducing the core qualities and diversity of Cardace & Perazzini’ sound while raising anticipation for what else they have in store for us on Noir Jungle part II. More

marc antona - Hanging gardens
2
marc antona - Unrestricted
More

Short info:
After years spent as a firm fixture in the Dissonant family, it seems only right that Italian duo Re-UP should present their debut album on the label that they call home. Across eleven tracks of immersive, psychoactive house and techno, Leo and Omar showcase what a diverse and engaging team they are both for the dancefloor and as a personal listening experience. "Concrethereal" opens the mix in an esoteric style with a complex arrangement of percussion and melodic chimes that soar away into meditative realms, before "Aju Paraplu" strides forth with urgency and subliminal sound design, letting haunting fragments of processing drift in between the beats while the title track "Nelcorpo" captivates with its mysterious pads swirling around angular fragments of rhythm. "Dark Tunnel" brings on a tougher beat with a haunting soul to catch the dancers unaware, before "Gominola" comes to life in a romantic swell of orchestration, rich in energy without losing that all-important subtlety. "6 AM" equally has a rich sound world to get lost in, using a bed of forest textures as a comfortable backdrop in contrast to the piercing impact of the lead synth. "The Mole" locks the listener in with a vivid picture of crooked, rusted textures conjured up using layers of rough and metallic found-sounds. "Two In A Row" meanwhile takes its time in building up the tension, working with a locomotive urgency and yet maintaining a voluptuous appeal to the rhythm section of the track. Heading into the later stages of the mix, "Each Sense" holds tightly on to the groove, celebrating multi-sensory stimulation with its intricate and seriously funky percussion. "Tribute" delves into dub-infused techno of the most captivating kind, and "Extended" sets out to explore microscopic production detail as it builds to a spiritual climax. With its ever-shifting moods and infectious energy, Nelcorpo is a stunning achievement for Re-UP, and a proud moment for Dissonant. Leo and Omar prove with their creation just how much space for creativity and experimentation the album format holds, and it leaves us with a stunning body of work to return to and lose ourselves in again and again.

It's a creative triumph for label and artist alike, following on from four years of mutual admiration since Re-UP first appeared on the label. Tracklist:
a1. The mole a2. 6AM b1. Two in a Row
Short info :
Ahead of the full release of Nelcorpo, Dissonant is thrilled to be sharing the first taste of Re- UP’s debut album with this three-track single. The whole project is a continuation of a relationship that reaches back to 2010, when the celebrated Italian duo made up of Leo and Omar first collaborated with Marc Antona on The Owl EP. For this sample record, three powerful tracks have been selected that reveal what an exciting, highly detailed listening experience the full album will be. There is of course a club-friendly thrust to all the cuts, as you would expect from this pair of producers, but there are lots of other moods at work which reveal themselves through the course of the tracks. From the start “The mole” paints a vivid picture of crooked, rusted textures, using layers of
rough and metallic found-sounds to whisk the listener away into their dense, percussive headspace. “6AM” equally has a rich sound world to get lost in, using a bed of forest textures as a comfortable backdrop in contrast to the piercing impact of the lead synth. On the strength of these three tracks, the album holds much promise as a landmark release for both Re-UP and Dissonant. “Two in a Row” meanwhile takes its time in building up the tension, working
with a locomotive urgency and yet maintaining a voluptuous appeal to the rhythm section of the track. More

In“Rattle Snaps” he turns out a seductive bass line and a captivating beat drawing on his strength in layering up ingenious sonic details. The stripped-back feel of the track supports scattered drum hits with skillful and subtle touches while the energy rises and falls without breaking the immersive atmosphere. Stretching out over twelve gripping minutes on the B side,“The Fifth Season” is a powerful track with strong sub-bass ripples and a rising pad tone that sends shivers up the spine. It’s the perfect demonstration of the drama and excitement giving a step forwards. More

Tracklist 12" A - Garlic B1 - Invisible B2 - Cable
Following his widely celebrated Macro Habitat EP of last year, Santos returns to Dissonant to deliver another three tracks, laying down detailed rhythms that shimmer with the infectious energy in which the man has made his twenty-year career on. "Garlic" is a roving thrill-ride that hangs on to the commanding groove as it whips through a dense landscape of sound, constantly moving forward with an energy that speaks to primal instincts. That leaves it to "Invisible" to get deep in the dub, letting masterfully handled delay and reverb pulse out a spiritually enriching techno mantra.
"Cable" takes a different approach, weaving some colour into the mix. The rolling beat flirts with playful swathes of synthesizer and samples for a wonderfully trippy end result that delights the mind, just as it moves the body.

Tracklist 12": Ride Safari
After showcasing new talents, Dissonant brings it back to the man in charge. Marc Antona delivers his latest forward-thinking rhythmic masterpiece "Ride Safari". After his captivating last EP "Brush Rush", he proves once again what a diverse producer he can be. "Ride Safari" shows Marc Antona at the height of his powers, layering up intricate percussion from electronic sounds to organic hits, but there is more happening beyond the drums in this track. The immersive bass draws the listener close in the beginning and the thrilling rolls of effects send the track into wild new realms of sound, but the action continues to build all the way through the peak of the tune, with ever more exotic sounds feeding into the groove.

Tracklist LP: A - Outside the Box feat. Zay de Mello B - Doctor Who
Rising fast from the East coast of the USA, Dissonant is proud to present Andrew M. Oritz, a producer and DJ who has spent his life immersed in DJ culture. Having earnt his stripes as a DJ across countless clubs in New Jersey and New York, as well as further afield in Florida, his explorations into production have fed into this first full artist release, fitting perfectly into the ongoing narrative of Dissonant. The title track "Outside The Box", featuring Zay De Mello, is the perfect club track, full of hypnotic percussion that pushes forwards with an unstoppable energy, while the well-selected vocal samples add an extra layer to the impeccably mixed dancefloor journey. "Doctor Who" takes a more subtle approach, using minimal rhythms and space to create an unpredictable feeling. As the track comes to life in a cycle of crisp drums, the natural and mechanical beats interlock seamlessly and channel the spirit of another mysterious speech into the funky, tribal workout. Placing groove and atmosphere above all else, AMO has made an excellent addition to Dissonant with a sound that was destined to be on the label.

Tracklist 12": A - Costaguana B - Past Tense
Marc Antona's Dissonant imprint has become synonymous, over the course of just fifteen releases, with the very best of depth-defying tech grooves. Tense atmospheres and floor grinding rhythms are at the forefront of the label's releases and are again the dominant sounds on the latest release from label debutant, Santos. Renowned and respected for his powerful productions the Italian producer has, through his releases and remixes for the likes of Saved, Suara and Octopus, become one of the most in demand producers of today. The three track Habitat ep sees Santos treading a deeper path compared to much of his recent output. The strong, bold drum patterns still prevail but each of the new tracks thrive on their slower groovier tempo's, scene-stealing atmospherics and exotic percussive sounds.

Ulm West Deep, - Anima e Corpo
UPC: 827170415065 Release: 15.04.2013
Tracklist 12" A1 – Riders of the Lost B2 – Anima e Corpo
Well known as the home of the sexiest kind of deep tech grooves, sometimes Dissonant also needs to remind the world of its purist techno roots. With powerful rhythms, tense atmospheres and a clear message, the fifteenth release on Marc Antona's label comes from the fresh talent of Ulm West Deep. Placing an emphasis on strong drums and heavy atmosphere, the duo from South Germany prove themselves to be a strong addition to the label following their impressive debut EP Here We Are for Suara in 2012. "Riders Of The Lost" is a psychedelic mind-catcher that drives forwards on a prominent kick and powerful bassline. The metallic, natural percussion interlocks with the hypnotic melodies for a surreal yet positive journey. Taking a very different approach, "Anima e Corpo" kicks into action with an unexpected combination of natural percussion and subversive melodies all feeding into a seriously heavy kind of techno. Highlighting their skills in production as well as their vivid imaginations, DS015 is a perfect introduction to the dark and hypnotic sound world that Ulm West Deep inhabit.
