Nicholas Iammatteo, better known as simply Nicholas to most has racked up an impressive backcatalogue since stepping onto the scene in 2011, racking up material on some of the industries leading imprints such as Quintessentials, 4lux, Home Taping Is Killing Music and Needwant. Opening the single is title cut 'Pressure', kicking things off in style with an upfront dance floor workout, driven by Nicholas's signauture heavily swung drums, a raw stabby bass hook and incredibly tight production skills. Following we have 'Break Thru', which employs a classic rave stab sequence, earth-shattering 909 rhythms and mesmerizing Juno style pads, again we see Nicholas do what he does best here, taking a failsafe format of a house composition, yet crafting it so beautifully and with such precision that it stands out in all its unique glory as a recognizable piece of work from Iammatteo. Entering the latter half of the 12'' we have 'Body Drum', which delves deeper into dub territory with low-slung dusty drums, swirling dub chords, hypnotic vocal licks and tension building strings. Then closing track 'I Believe' demonstrates Iammatteo's housier side, again with shuffling drums laying the foundations. While a bulbous bass hook drives the bottom end and Nicholas cleverly manipulates anamalgamation of vocal snippets and string samples.
