This EP showcases a wider style than previous Myriadd EPs, and the tracks here are a mixture of dancefloor focused tracks and the more etherial, emotive style that listeners associate with this artist. Astral Journeys is a building dancefloor track that combines deep bass and a bubbling acid line to maximum effect. A second acid track, Excursions, combines solid 909 beats, a bubbling Washing Machine style synth line and a sailing acid line. Title track, Oceans, and City Of Quartz are more Detroit influenced, with a more icy atmosphere than the other tracks, perhaps recalling early UK bleep techno tracks. Cosmos is classic Myriadd style, combining cosmic string solos and Chicago style percussive stabs over a solid bassline.

Myriadd is Craig Stainton, a producer that has also released as Acid Phreex and Mantra on labels such as Pinkman, Signals and Creme Organization, to where he returns now with a new four track EP that explores plenty of mystic house and techno territory. Kicking off the release is ‘Time Will Tell’, which is a nicely frayed, rough round the edges bit of house music with a deep and lashing bassline as well as some rich and rounded melodic hooks. ‘Forever Yours’ kicks that bit harder and more insistently but bares the same sense of misty melodic lushness. Various lines fly about like spirits in the night and bring a haunting sense of melancholy to proceedings before B1 ‘Gold Section’ hiccups and stutters pleasingly. Like everything here, it’s a fairly rich, dense track that layers everything on top of each other with little break for breath. Final track ‘At One’ is backed with the sort of serene pads that have you day dreaming about the future as jacked up beats kick below and all manner of synths whip around in the foreground. House music never sounded as magical as when in the hands of the talented Myriadd.

Italian dark electronics aficionados Alessandro Adriani and Cosimo Damiano come together for a debut collaborative EP on Pinkman. Belonging to different generations but both deeply influenced on one side by "the Sound of Rome", with pioneers like Gabriele Rizzo, Leo Anibaldi and Lory D, and on the other side by the raw electro Dutch legacy of Bunker Records, the two strike a golden middle of their styles with a clanging, raw and packed to the brim with coarseness electro-techno hybrid. Inspired by the cyber dystopia narratives, 'Neurodreamers' reflect on the hi-tech surveillance and the promise of AI which unfolds itself into the prospect of dehumanization. Taking the listener through turmoil and anger, the brutish 4-tracker weave the elements of grubby baselines, coarse synths and erratic percussions with the brain-melting hints of acid and Alessandro Adriani's own recorded vocals. A living warning to us all.
