The Tunnel EP features 3 cuts of late night club techno. The A side is dancefloor
tested at Pittsburgh’s Hot Mass, with a driving bassline, a twisted lead that morphs
throughout, and a melodic breakdown that brings some release before the track
descends deeper. The “Dark” version drapes the bassline in distortion and locks in a
percussive groove with sharp chord hits and claps to work the floor. The “Light” mix
ends things with a steady chord groove and lush strings for a bit of brightness.

The second tribute to one of Pittsburgh’s three rivers, the “Mon Acid” EP is 3 mixes of Acid-infused techno - a followup to 2013’s “Allegheny Acid” EP. The A cut features morphing 303 lines, uplifting pads and leads, and a warm, sustained bassline perfect for unleashing euphoria on the dancefloor. The “Edit for Gusto” version is for Gusto of Detour Pittsburgh, Hot Mass resident and long time Machine Age Studios affiliate, whose CDJ looping antics of the original inspired a tight, driving arrangement around a short, punchy bassline for max impact. The “Deep” mix flips everything underwater with aquatic pads and chord echoes, rounding out the release.

Pittsburgh Track Authority is back. After a five year hiatus from releasing music--during which time PTA maintained focus on expanding the catalog of their labels Pittsburgh Tracks, Love What You Feel, Machine Age Records, and Sleeve -- Preslav and Adam are back with a rejuvenated outlook on music and a renewed sense of purpose. The new album titled PA System is a collection of house and techno written to serve as a document of the past 18 months. As always with PTA, friends near and far, old and new, were a part of the writing process and the album includes collaborations with C. Pittsburgh Track Authority have been making waves the last couple of years following brilliant releases on some of the best underground house labels around such as Uzuri, Argot, Finale Sessions as well as their own Pittsburgh Tracks imprint. Last year saw their debut LP Enter The Machine Age gain them further fans and we invited them to remix Nils Penner’s I Can Be for which they delivered an absolute beast. The Pittsburgh based collective are as comfortable making disco-influenced grooves as they are funk- infused techno so when they offered us Your Situation with a view to doing an EP we jumped at the chance. Lead track Your Situation is one of those subtle, slow burners that comes completely alive on a big system. The minimal drums and simple string stabs combining to create a simple and spacious groove to get locked into. Classic, proper house music with that raw Omar S touch which when it’s done well, creates pure magic. Flipping over we have Rt. 28 which builds around a shuffling, percussive groove, simple repeating rhodes chords and one bar synth riff. Once again, the PTA boys inject that authentic Detroit influenced sound, keeping things refined and focussing on the nuts and bolts and avoiding any clutter. Closing this characterful release we have Gold Trim which as the name suggests has a more loungey vibe to it with plenty of live instrumentation and a loose, jazzy feel.

Finale Sessions is pround to bring you another fine release with none other them Pittsburgh Track Authority they have been heating things up at the moment and we are great full to have them on label and this release is a gem for sure and we start with the first cut called "Missile 2" It is my favorite of the ep for sure with its rolling drums and its acid based textures a must have peak time jam then we have " Cara Cara" no holds bar jam with a no holds bar approach to drums and rhythm a must have for the later times of the night . Then we have " Wrap Game" this track is a dancefloor killer for sure with its massive pads and intense synth work one of my favorites on Finale Sessions to date and we dont want to forget the drums of coarse with its hipnotic rhythm . Then last but not least we have " Chromed" the first thing you notice about this track is the drums and its crazy rhythm most definetly a techno killer for sure it has massive sound to it for sure and it is not to be ignored with its deep synths and wicked key work a must have for you record collection ..I want to thank you for your support on Finale Sessions and I personally want to thank you and I love you ...

The third of three samplers, comprised of selected tracks taken from Spencer Parker's new album, ‘Dance Music’ out via his own label Work Them Records.
“There was no real concept behind the album, all I knew is that I wanted to do something honest. The tracks I make are the tracks I play in my sets and tracks I want people to dance to - that’s where the title comes from.” - Spencer Parker.
'Cruising Control' hits you hard from the off with a melting pot of industrial kicks, shuffling hats and expansive stabs. Following in a similar vein 'Remember' carries that same aesthetic with the addition of some throwback keys and a hypnotic vocal sample.
On the flip 'Cash Only' keeps on the Berlin techno tip that has been a common theme running through the LP, combining a ruthless, fist pumping beat with wobbly, mesmerising synthwork, sure to get the bodies moving.
To close out the last of the samplers, Parker conjures up those insular moments caught alone in the crowd, with nothing but the music to focus on. And with that provides the perfect tone to end this "Dance Music" sampler on, an LP Parker has created with the intention of making people dance firmly at the forefront of his mind.

Kicking off the B side, ‘Girl...' takes in the old school European techno sound relentless in its arrangement & firmly aimed at big dark spaces.
The melodic ‘Emotional Tendencies’ closes out the second of Parker’s ‘Dance Music’ offering an introspective and deep side to the LP and highlights another facet of Parker's productions.

Part One of the sampler opens with ‘It Was Just A Dream’, a ghostly cauldron of glitches, bleeps and sound bites that locks you into a dazed state of hypnosis. Next up, ‘The Oh’ hits with a taste of classic house, marrying emotive stabs, a tough kick and fizzing ride cymbals.
On the B side, ‘You’re Under My Control Now’ takes the sound industrial combining a Kraftwerk-esque metronomic breath with rapid fire toms and a dynamic kick. ‘Absolutely Raving’ closes out the first of Parker’s ‘Dance Music’ samplers offering a rave leaning techno weapon that wouldn’t be out of place in the hallowed grounds of Berghain.

Russian producer Valya Kan debuts on Spencer Parker’s Work Them Records with a four track sampler from her subterranean album ‘Dust And Haze’.
‘Leave’ opens up the sampler with tantalising synths and dubby effects before you're lead into ‘Promises’ featuring Valya Kan’s voice, uttering the track title whilst syncopated percussion and ghostly atmospherics work their magic. Flip it over and you're hit with the whirring sci-fi elements and rattling samples in ‘Smoke In The Cockpit’. Rounding off the sampler ‘Acid Hotel’ is a more up-tempo, demonstrating rolling arpeggios and snappy snares.

4 tracks of solarized muscular techno… Berlin-based producer Setaoc Mass is next to appear on Spencer Parker's Work Them roster with four commanding techno numbers in 'The M Scale' EP. Real name Sam Coates, Setaoc Mass was born and raised in Manchester and now resides in Berlin where he's appeared on the radar of fellow expat Spencer Parker... Kicking off the EP is which Man Ray' which kicks in with crunchy snares and a hypnotising riff, the next track 'Movement' unloads a viscous low-end alongside a metallic synth and ominous atmospherics. First up on the B side is 'Ulterior Motive' which triggers the release by unleashing a torrent of cavernous kicks whilst tantalising melodies add to the escalating energy, before 'Manifesto' erupts with uncompromising arpeggios accompanied by infectious claps and subtle stabs until rounding off a fine EP from Setaoc Mass..

London-based producer, DJ, promoter and venue owner Dan Beaumont drops an imaginative and esoteric house single titled 'Spirit Talkin'' on Work Them Records with a remix from label founder Spencer Parker. The man behind Dalston Superstore, Dance Tunnel, the Chapter 10 warehouse parties, an NTS radio show and releases on the likes of Classic, No Fit State and Disco Bloodbath - one word to describe Dan Beaumont is multifaceted. ‘Spirit Talkin'' sees him deliver a lengthy dancefloor cut with a heady groove and intricate drum patterns joined by penetrating vocal wails that emit feeling throughout. His 'Beaumont Beats' version keeps things percussive in a classic NY drum track style, whilst Spencer Parker's 'Workmix' raises the tempo with a strong emphasis on kicks before slowly introducing energetic chords and the powerful vox.

Radio Slave follows up last years 'Repeat Myself' on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records with a 12' entitled 'Werk' set to drop on 2nd June. Drawn out hypnotic cuts are Radio Slave specialities and with 'Werk' and his previous Work Them outing he delivers his trademark with unflinching confidence. The two full tracks on the EP take simple vocal samples and cast iron grooves and stretches them drum-skin tight while two accapella versions make for irresistible DJ play. While 'Werk' marries its eponymous vocal with shuffling, scraping percussion and little else to create a timeless jacking house dub the flip side's 'Jus Werk' evokes Dan Bell minimalism with fluttering, mechanical sine wave sequences
