The second tribute to one of Pittsburgh’s three rivers, the “Mon Acid” EP is 3 mixes of Acid-infused techno - a followup to 2013’s “Allegheny Acid” EP. The A cut features morphing 303 lines, uplifting pads and leads, and a warm, sustained bassline perfect for unleashing euphoria on the dancefloor. The “Edit for Gusto” version is for Gusto of Detour Pittsburgh, Hot Mass resident and long time Machine Age Studios affiliate, whose CDJ looping antics of the original inspired a tight, driving arrangement around a short, punchy bassline for max impact. The “Deep” mix flips everything underwater with aquatic pads and chord echoes, rounding out the release. More

Pittsburgh Track Authority is back. After a five year hiatus from releasing music--during which time PTA maintained focus on expanding the catalog of their labels Pittsburgh Tracks, Love What You Feel, Machine Age Records, and Sleeve -- Preslav and Adam are back with a rejuvenated outlook on music and a renewed sense of purpose. The new album titled PA System is a collection of house and techno written to serve as a document of the past 18 months. As always with PTA, friends near and far, old and new, were a part of the writing process and the album includes collaborations with C. Scott, Santiago Salazar, Stuart Bogie, Nic Offer, Samurai Velvet, John Hall, and Kenny Peagler.

Pittsburgh Track Authority have been making waves the last couple of years following brilliant releases on some of the best underground house labels around such as Uzuri, Argot, Finale Sessions as well as their own Pittsburgh Tracks imprint. Last year saw their debut LP Enter The Machine Age gain them further fans and we invited them to remix Nils Penner’s I Can Be for which they delivered an absolute beast. The Pittsburgh based collective are as comfortable making disco-influenced grooves as they are funk- infused techno so when they offered us Your Situation with a view to doing an EP we jumped at the chance. Lead track Your Situation is one of those subtle, slow burners that comes completely alive on a big system. The minimal drums and simple string stabs combining to create a simple and spacious groove to get locked into. Classic, proper house music with that raw Omar S touch which when it’s done well, creates pure magic. Flipping over we have Rt. 28 which builds around a shuffling, percussive groove, simple repeating rhodes chords and one bar synth riff. Once again, the PTA boys inject that authentic Detroit influenced sound, keeping things refined and focussing on the nuts and bolts and avoiding any clutter. Closing this characterful release we have Gold Trim which as the name suggests has a more loungey vibe to it with plenty of live instrumentation and a loose, jazzy feel. More

Owner operator of Finale Sessions Music Michael Zucker has brought you a sister label called future sessions music to showcase his own music with close friends and family and we are excited to able to share this label with you. Starting with our first release with the detroit veteren Norm Talley and Finale Sessions veteren Michael Zucker and we will start with Norm Talley’s music first with the track called “power “it has the sublime detroit deep sound with its sharp chords and that pumping deep kick and claps and it also has additional work from another detroit legend delano smith but what makes this track is the fantastic vocals from the soul. Track two “lock jaw” is just raw beatdown late night track with deep chicago classic sound with a pumping kicks and mind altering synth. Then next we have Michael Zuckers first track “parisian nights” with it’s classic filtered classic chicago sound with proper pads and chords with a vocal drifting in and out of the spectrum . Track two “ thought process” is just an amazing deep inspired melodic trip with key’s and that classic b4 organ that sets the tone for the pads and that lifted filtered sound . So we are getting right to the music with the first track "Midnight Soul" One of my favorites for sure with its beautiful keys and its rich pads and it's enormous bass this track is a latenight beater for sure. Volta is one of the most sought after producers in Russia. One of the newest members to the Balance Music Group’s family and he brings versatility like no other producer out there. His productions go in every direction from cosmic disco to deep techno. He is also known as Isaev and his other alias Common People under the Bal-ance Alliance anchor. This young producer has set the course for the next generation of future producers. Not only is he a producer but his live sets are second to none, and we are glad to have him in the family. The first song is “Empire Times” which is a throwback to the early nineties classic New York signature four on the floor sound with fuel injected synths and a great dance floor peak time get down groove.
