Young Belgian producer Locked Groove (aka Tim Van de Meutter) cements an increasingly central role in the Hotflush family fold with the release of the two part Heritage EP. Since his debut on the label, Tim has propagated what he himself has termed ‘100% House and Techno,’ combining elements of the big room, the deep and moody and straight up four-to-the-floor both into the space of a single track, and across the length of an EP. pivotal Rooted release. Keep It Simple comprises four weighty examples of why the young producer’s unique fusion of big-room
techno and moodier, deep-house elements has been resonating so loudly of late. Central to the EP is simplicity itself; how simple
structures create something larger than the sum of their parts as “Keep Running”, with its rattling percussion, acidic bass stabs and
euphoric builds, flaunts to the full. “Aller Simple” adds swing to a similar palette that’s as stripped-back as it is heavy-duty. Force is
replaced by introspection on vinyl-closer, “Even” – an inebriated voice reverberates over whispered organs and an understated

Hotflush presents the debut 12" from Belgian newcomer Locked Groove aka Tim Van de Meutter. The young producer delivers three hypnotizing and genre bending tracks that expertly weave the sounds of Berghain, soulful house and UK garage into a single crushing package. The “Rooted” EP draws you in with the title track, bouncing along to an acid baseline, then moves onto “Drowning”, a moody techno track that was included on Scuba’s DJ-Kicks mix compilation, filled with drum and ambient samples taken from field recordings. Turbo continues to explore edgy new territory with this set of absolutely lethal techno jackers from one of Bristol's hottest new talents: joeFarr. Distorted vocal hooks and massively overdriven drum tracks swing over rave-shattering synths. 'CLOCK' has been a major weapon in Tiga's recent DJ sets and has been charted by Dave Clarke, with more big names dying to get their hands on it but unable - it's just that exclusive. This is raw, fear-inducing UK warehouse at it's finest, and a big step forward for the developing New Jack Techno genre. joeFarr has recently remixed Zombie Nation as well as Tiga, and in addition to his work on Turbo is releasing a pair of tracks on Belfast-based DSNT featuring remixes from Truss and Tessela.

Rising Visionquest stars Footprintz cover Raid Over Moscow on Turbo's first ever seven-inch release. Featuring a remix by Ewan Pearson. To complement the recent Raid Over Moscow EP, we enlisted Visionquest signees Footprintz to provide their own take on "Rush to the Capsule", highlighting the excellent songcraft of the original while showcasing the sound that guarantees the Montreal duo will live up to the considerable hype created by their debut single, Utopia. For the B-side, we turned to Ewan Pearson, the producer of Footprintz's amazing debut LP (due later this year), and a consistently great remixer. Pearson uses his insider knowledge of the group's strengths, turning the synth-pop mastery of their cover into a "New Wave Moon Rave", complete with all the male-choir pads such a thing entails.
