Inspired by his first bought techno vinyls back in the late 90s, TWR72 crafted his new project for OOM Records. Titled "iOi", it symbolizes a drum, with the 'i's as arms/hands or sticks and the 'O' as the drum itself.
Each of the ten tracks boasts its own title, yet when the initial letters are combined, they spell out 'percussion.' Drums and percussion have long been pivotal to the essence of music, evolving from primitive beginnings to intricate forms. Their significance spans cultures worldwide, each with its own rich narrative.
In techno, percussion is key, capable of moving listeners without other instruments. The late 90s and early 20s witnessed a surge of percussion-driven techno, enduring as timeless and functional pieces still embraced today. Yet, this enchantment has only been fleetingly replicated in the past two decades. "iOi" serves as an homage to that distinctive era.

The perfect tangle between groove and frenzy. A disorderly compulsive, agitated activity. Sounds which will haunt every inch of your body and won't let you go... they will lock you among the urgency of rhythm and rapid polyphonic undulations. A bipolar relationship between highs and lows, mixing and interchanging relentlessly. Vivacious percussion converges with an ever present, round and bouncy bassline resulting in an emotionally irrational, but technically intelligent execution.

The Dutch producer definitely knows how to make a statement.

With a vast catalogue of releases under his belt, Netherlands mainstay artist TWR72 debuts on Room with Narrow EP, delivering an impactful, seriously effective release that's well accompanied by an immense remix from the up-and-coming Mathys Lenne.


The title track "Narrow" sets the tone for what's to come on the front side, with a rumbling kick and low end, destructive vocals and bleeps that make up a perfect tension builder for peak time slots. Adding his own sturdy, fiery and visceral vision of Techno, the young French artist proposes his version of "Narrow", adding an atmospheric tension and swank drum work to the original. Not for the faint-hearted.


On the B-side, TWR72's very own, characteristic sound brings "Generous" and "Exact", two slick, drummy and useful tools that will surely fit into a lot of DJ's bags.

A rising star in the lifestyle house arena, Locked Groove has emerged with EPs on Turbo and Hotflush as a credible voice on the tip of pitchfork's tongue, skillfully balancing DEEP with BALLS. Keep Thorough might be the most accessible and immediate track he's put out so far... the lyrics spell it out: "wanna party, wana get down tonight"... this could rock an office party as well as it would Boiler Room. Turbo continues to explore edgy new territory with this set of absolutely lethal techno jackers from one of Bristol's hottest new talents: joeFarr. Distorted vocal hooks and massively overdriven drum tracks swing over rave-shattering synths. 'CLOCK' has been a major weapon in Tiga's recent DJ sets and has been charted by Dave Clarke, with more big names dying to get their hands on it but unable - it's just that exclusive. This is raw, fear-inducing UK warehouse at it's finest, and a big step forward for the developing New Jack Techno genre. joeFarr has recently remixed Zombie Nation as well as Tiga, and in addition to his work on Turbo is releasing a pair of tracks on Belfast-based DSNT featuring remixes from Truss and Tessela.

Rising Visionquest stars Footprintz cover Raid Over Moscow on Turbo's first ever seven-inch release. Featuring a remix by Ewan Pearson. To complement the recent Raid Over Moscow EP, we enlisted Visionquest signees Footprintz to provide their own take on "Rush to the Capsule", highlighting the excellent songcraft of the original while showcasing the sound that guarantees the Montreal duo will live up to the considerable hype created by their debut single, Utopia. For the B-side, we turned to Ewan Pearson, the producer of Footprintz's amazing debut LP (due later this year), and a consistently great remixer. Pearson uses his insider knowledge of the group's strengths, turning the synth-pop mastery of their cover into a "New Wave Moon Rave", complete with all the male-choir pads such a thing entails.
