Huxley is fast becoming one of the brightest lights to emerge from an exciting nascent UK music scene, emerging from the underground clubs of London, Bristol, Leeds and Glasgow. Young producers are honing their talents to create new sounds influenced by the their exposure to house, techno, dubstep and garage music. When 2020Vision approached Huxley we specifically requested that he created a four track EP that truly reflected his skills. He responded superbly and produced the 'Out The Box' EP. On the first track 'Box Clever' Huxley gives us pure house music with rich chords, a killer piano line and a deeply felt female spoken word vocal. The flip side 'Atonement' delves into deep house with layers of subtly worked synths wrapped up around confident New York style garage beats. 'Out of my mind' showcases his love of diverse beats and leaves the four to the floor until late in the track enabling a far busier drum and bass workout with dubstep sentiments. The digitally exclusive 'Feel What You Want' sounds like a session from Secretsundaze with it's classic 90s influenced groove and vocal hooks.

Huxley debuts on Rekids with the ‘MIND G%MES’ EP. UK DJ, producer, and Dumb Safari label head Huxley joins Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time with the ‘MIND G%MES’ EP, dropping 25th July 2025. The first track, ‘M%ND’, kicks off with woozy and alluring pads swirling round a cuddly but kicking Deep House groove. Soulful vocals and delicate, cosmic melodies rise out of the mix to bring it to a close in style. 'CLUB SH%T' ups the ante with zippy synths injecting some texture to slamming drums that straddle the House and Techno divide, while wispy stabs and warm daubs of sound dance around the cowbells to make this an evaluated late-night tool. 'FEAR N%THING' is a new school cut, with fi ltered loops, sugary chords, and pent-up energy all surging through the dance fl oor. Last but not least is 'ANY1', a sleazy House pumper featuring moody spoken word, a big, rubbery bassline, and slinky, Garage-infl uenced percussion. Active in the underground music scene for two decades, former Rinse resident and sometime Aus, Shall Not Fade and Unknown To The Unknown artist has had one hell of a career. From huge breakthrough tracks like ‘Let it Go’ on Hypercolour and ‘Box Clever’ on 20:20 Vision to his 2014 ‘Blurred’ LP on Aus, he’s seen universal critical acclaim as well as massive support from DJs and dancefloors globally. Although not without some trademark grunt in the bass department it's one of Huxley's deepest cuts to date, with layered melodies, rounded percussion and an incredible vocal combining beautifully. Huxley's powerful 'club rub' shifts the focus to the dance floor a little more but not at the expense of the original's musical or vocal content - with just a nip and tuck here and there he's created a weighty, yet respectful, club version. Fellow Aus artist and notable talent, Youandewan, takes things deeper with his remix - a blissed out exercise in smooth musical transitions and subtle dubbing techniques that form an engagingly delicate deep house cut. To close the release Huxley turns in 'Sphere'. Vintage Huxley, 'Sphere' is characterised by a strident rhythm track and piano licks but the devil is in the detail - re-pitched delay feedback, almost-there filtered vocals and crafty drum fills.

20/20 Vision and Crazy P continue their long and fruitful relationship with a fourth volume of carefully curated and super-fresh new cuts as part of this fine ongoing series. Scandi-disco don Ray Man opens up with typically lush cosmic melodies and loose-limed nu-disco beats with more than a hint of funk. Tigerbalm then heads into a tropical oasis with 'Cosmic Union' (feat Joy Tyson) which has Afro rhythms and steamy vocals bringing the heat. Ruf Dug shows his multi-genre chops again with 'Vape Quarter Rhythm' which is part proto-house cut and part dreamy Italo bliss out with rave whistles and hands-in-the-air chords. Ibiza's Tuccillo closes out with one of his signature Balearic gems in 'Siroco', which is as breezy and carefree as cocktails by the sea at sundown.

Luther Vine's Fragments Of Reality and its various artists series have been a real doozy for 20/20 but now the sub-label offers up a first solo EP. It is Snad who gets the gig and he is a house producer from Berlin making big waves right now. This one follows outings on Chicago's Kimochi Records, Chez Damier's Courtesy of Balance and the Dungeon Meat label and is another raw, stripped-back offering of tough house. 'Bootlickerz' is a bristling cut ready for the peak time, 'Goobernatorial Candidacy' has a more stripped-back but just as compelling groove and 'Per Savour' goes deep into late-night goodness before closer 'Butt Heads' picks up the pace once more.

Exit Planet Earth continues its exploration of the world of electro universe with an expansive, extended six track EP, featuring The Advent x Zein Ferreira, DeFeKT, London Modular Alliance, Konertymi and Zobol. The Advent, whose weekly Gardening Club residency in the mid-90s helped to drag electro out of the realms of the retro and back into the future, team up with Zein Ferreira for a Kraftwerk-on-speed extended mix of 'CarpeDiem', before London Modular Alliance's more moderately paced but still squiggle and bleep laced 'Lump of Coal' plus a 'beats' breakdown for the DJs. The B-side brings us the acid-powered 'Pulssi' by Konerytmi, the bouncy, breakdance-friendly 'Radar' by DeFeKT, and the relatively pure, optimistic sonics of Zobol's 'Data Wars'. Thumbs up all round.

Adam Pits delivers a devious little gem aimed at dance-floor destruction that winds it's way between a heavy garage bassline and 90's four to floor house rhythms, fragmenting the vocal around an increasingly unhinged and infectious groove.
