Transmat is one of Detroit's original and best techno labels. After four years away, it is back doing what it does best - serving up new sounds that stay true to the original ethos. It's dub maestro David Harrow who steps up here - a long-time underground servant with credits on the late great Andrew Weatherall's early cult imprint Emissions way back when, and has more recently collaborated on the new Red Snapper album. This is a highbrow new project that finds him offering up a two-part modular synthesis take on legendary US composer Terry Riley's seminal minimalist improvisation 'In C.' He lays down subtle drums and layers them up with rich, shapeshifting and beautiful but unsettling synth textures that freely transforms from one pattern to another when you listen closely. It's perfect for dance floor meditation and mental escape, with Part 2 being more celestial and uplifting. Both sides make for sophisticated cerebral trips while marking a welcome return for Transmat.

For the 2nd release in their 30th year aniversary trilogy Transmat presents one of the most promising talents emerging from the electronic scene from Tel Aviv. Deep‘a & Biri try to fully introduce their sound from atmospheric hypnotic beats to banging acid dancefloor killers. Deep‘a & Biri‘s connection with Derrick May started 7 years ago, when Deep‘a worked as an A&R for Club Barzilay, one of the important underground clubs in Israel at that time. They invited May to play in Tel Aviv and gave him a demo track at the dinner before the party, which was played by May only a few hours later at the club. Since then May keeps supporting Deep'a & Biri‘s project by frequently playing their music on his sets. On 2014 the boys, who grew up listening to early Detroit Techno music, manage to close the circuit and joined Transmat artists agency and played on their label nights around the world. The tracks on the EP has being slowly cooked for the past 3 years and been tested on multiple dancefloors and soundsystems. On their 4-track EP Echoic Memories Deep‘a & Biri try to to fully introduce their sound from atmospheric hypnotic beats to banging acid dancefloor killers. The tracks stand out with their dark and mashing beats, that make their way without compromise and with never ending dynamism through the dubby sound spaces or relentlessly push forward sharp acid lines. From these perspectives, the tracks‘ bass lines and also to some extent, the implemented superposed, endless synthesizer landscapes, both remind us of the early years of the Detroit Techno.

Mecha opens the record with “All My Love”, a hypnotic debut techno track shaped by years in drum and bass. NECHTO returns with its second 12” vinyl compilation, continuing the mission of presenting forward-thinking techno from both rising talents and trusted names. Each of the six tracks adds a unique voice to the raw and honest collection.
Mecha opens the record with “All My Love”, a hypnotic debut techno track shaped by years in drum and bass. Contakt follows with “Peak Jam”, a one-take hardware jam built around the warmth of a signature synth. “16th Symphony” by Human Safari is a jazz-influenced cut intended for special moments in a DJ set. Unspent delivers “Moog Gorning”, a track that shifts from percussive 4x4 to broken rhythm, carrying deep personal emotion. ARGIE’s “Strangers” captures the tension of connection and distance with layered percussion and melody. Franz Jäger closes with “Get Simon to sync”, a rave-influenced hybrid track designed for peak-time impact.

London-based artist Hilit Kolet returns to Rekids, collaborating with New York’s The Illustrous Blacks, the project formed by Manchildblack and Monstah Black, for the ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ EP, landing 29th August 2025 via Radio Slave’s Rekids.
