Originally released in 1988 as a side project from members of Münster rock band The New Colours. New Harbours was produced by Graziano Mallozzi, member of influential Italian darkwave group Kirlian Camera. The result is an irresistible melancholic synth pop anthem. Due to an extremely limited pressing, the track never received the attention it deserves aside from within Discogs digger circles or in the bags of a few virtuous DJs, including JD Twitch of Optimo who introduced us to the record.The 2025 reissue features a stunning club remix from Berlin’s own Italian darkwave master Curses.

Gala – Freed From Desire was first released in 1996 on NiteLite Records in Italy. 2024 and Ministry of Sound Recordings / B1 Recordings are happy to release two fresh new remixes for the first time on limited edition yellow transparent vinyl. Gala wrote this song when she was drawing on a Buddhist concept that challenges the constant craving for more and encourages us to value our principles and our own freedom instead. She believed that ‘Freed From Desire’ could resonate with people all over the world. Arguably one of the biggest sporting songs of all time, it has become a unifying sensation across the world. The main mix has been re-recorded for a whole new generation but is still very true to that original of ’96, whilst on the flip, Diplo; the American superstar, showcases his trademark, energetic, thumping style. Greek producer Fluxion returns to Danish imprint Echocord in January with his ‘Upsides & Sideways EP’, comprising three original productions. The Athens-based artist has spent nearly two decades honing his craft both on stage through his live improvised performances and in the studio, producing records for the likes of Chain Reaction, Vibrant Music and Subwax Bcn. Copenhagen’s Echocord has consistently delivered high quality dub techno from the likes of Roberto Clementi, Brendon Moeller and Luke Hess since its inception in 2001 and now Fluxion returns with his twelfth outing on the label with his latest material. Fluxion opens with ‘En route’, employing sharp percussive foundations, white noise atmospheres and haunting chord progressions which evolve throughout the track before ‘The Place’ offers dubbed out synthesiser motifs and glitching arpeggios which are underpinned by echoing drums and a subtle bass melody. ‘Flick’ then closes out the release with spacey synth riffs developing over groove-led percussion and a warm, distorted low-end.

We are proud to announce that Andreas Tilliander is back on Echocord after 15 years. This March sees Echocord release the ‘Ofog’ EP comprising three original productions from Sweden’s Andreas Tilliander. Stockholm based Andreas Tilliander is a name that’s been synonymous with the underground electronic music scene for a while now, from his contribution to the ‘Glitch’ genre in the early 1990’s through to winning a Swedish Grammy and producing under various monikers creating a variety of sonic art.
This includes his previous Echocord released Lowfour alias, The Raster.Noton seminal Moikra ‘Cliphop’ album and his more recently explored TM404 project which has seen him release on Skudge and Kontra-Musik. Tilliander’s ‘Ofog’ EP kicks off with an upfront and club leaning track entitled ‘Störet’, which is driven by deep kicks and crisp hats that both sit tightly at each end of the mix, leaving room for twisted chords and delayed synth swells to fill the gap. Next up comes the fine dub-tinged and spacious aesthetic of ‘Oliveros’, where ethereal textures glide freely alongside the live-sounding tape delayed drums, accompanied by a deep, weaving sub. Closing the package is ‘Risset’, in which a half time bass line chugs alongside vibrantly saturated percussion escorted by dubby chords and glitchy atmospherics.

We are very proud to announce that we have signed Arovane aka Uwe Zahn for Echocord. Uwe is in our world a legend within the electronic music scene. He started to do releases on the old Berlin labels DIN and City-Centre-Offices. He is known for being one of the best producers ever within the IDM & Electronica scene. Back in the 90’s he listened to the music of Basic Channel, Maurizio and Fluxion a lot. This sound is timeless. In the summer of 2015 he started to record a couple of dub sounds and beats beside his collaboration work and the production of his new album. He talked to Fluxion and told him about the growing project. He liked the tracks very much and connected it with Echocord and The Modul Ep was born.

Echocord is back with another release by Mikkel Metal. The Echocord veteran Mikkel Metal aka Mikkel Meldgaard, who keep turning back to Echocord and Echocord Colour.
