Alan Dixon launches his brand new label Love Attack, the Multi Periodic Oscillations EP being a three tracker from Man Power at his curious techno best. Its baby brother 'Part 2' keeps the vibes intact before 'Applegate Mechanism' closes the EP in a straight up dancefloor fashion. Influential UK artist Man Power makes his Skint Records debut this December with a thrilling new offering featuring Berlin’s Private Agenda. Man Power is a true electronic virtuoso who has proven he can do searing acid, raw techno and expressive disco with equal elan. As well as running his own Me Me Me labels, he has appeared on top outlets like ESP Institute and Correspondent and now impresses once again with the help of Berlin’s Private Agenda. The electric original version of ‘Do It Thin’ is an intense and steamy affair with Eurobeat synths and Italo piano chords that are sure to make a huge impression on the crowd. Vocals that Bronski Beat would be proud of soar to the heavens and get hands in the air whilst the hard hitting drums drive things forward. Dramatic chords build the suspense, leading you towards an epic, guitar laden breakdown with well sequenced synths adding weight and colour. Edgy and expressive, it is a real stomper with a fusion of myriad different styles. An instrumental version is also supplied that removes the vocal and allows the studio skills and musicianship to really shine, this was a showstopper in Man Power’s recent Boiler Room set and it not to be missed. The ‘Vista’ EP caps off an intensely busy year for Geoff Kirkwood, otherwise known as Man Power. The British DJ/producer has become quite the ‘tour de force’ in 2018, with releases and remixes for Futureboogie, DFA, Correspondant, Exotic Series, Skint Records, and his very own Me Me Me imprint. So it seems quite fitting to seal a productive 12 months with a release on Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two, a label that itself has been firing out big releases this year from EJECA, Jansons & Senzala and Ahmed himself. And joining this big end of year party, enter stage left, Roman Flu¨gel, who delivers an absolutely stellar remix of ‘Vista’. Meaty synths and clattering 909 drums are doused in futuristic Italo disco vibes for ‘Outrider’, whilst a winning combo of breakbeats and acid affected bass provide the backbone of the simply gargantuan ‘Vista’. Roman Flu¨gel’s interpretation of the title track brings the break to the fore, playfully teasing out the acidic sounds and surging strings for another truly memorable remix that we’ve come to expect from Mr. Flu¨gel. Closing the EP, ‘Poly Pop’ delivers a vivid and bright burst of melody over clanking percussion and sturdy beats, filled with ‘end of the night’ optimism that’s become Man Power’s forte. More

(It’s also the labels 13th release too. Spooooooky) So here it is, a double A Side... Side A is “Valhalla” which attempts to be as majestic as the name suggests. Side AA has “Fidelity", which is me channelling big room house as much as I can, while trying to keep ahold of whatever heart strings I can tug on. Man Power his raw electronic sound, organic flourishes and diverse selection make him a perfect match for DGTL, both on stage as well as on the imprint. Next to releasing a steady flow of records on established labels like ESP Institute, Optimo Trax, Correspondant and Hivern Discs, Man Power is running his own shop as well: Me Me Me. This gives him an outlet to release music by both friends and himself. For his release on DGTL Records he created a three-track EP called Apologue EP, that showcases just two of different sides of his multi-faceted musical scope. The a-side features two firm, acid influenced tracks. The first of these two, The Duelist, is an emotive house record, with a soundscape of piano melodies, synths and syncopated percussion laid on top of an acid bassline. El Mago del Tiempo features heavy hitting kicks combined with a sharp synth pattern. It has a long build up that keeps evolving throughout the entire composition. Halfway through, the track breaks in to a raw and fierce rhythm accompanied by yearning, drawn-out synth pads. On the flipside, Put Your Hands on the Car (And Get Ready To Die) brings back memories of a long gone past with nods to Balearic Pop, EBM, and the Soundtrack work of Stewart Copeland, James Horner, and Jan Hammer. This multi layered production has a warm and analogue sounding feel to it that rounds off a 3 dimensional release. More

Newcastle-born, Mexico-based Man Power debuts on Optimo Trax with two psychasonic missives cut extra loud for optimum sound system performance. We asked Man Power for some words about this release and he told us - "Both tracks sound different, but they're both from the same place in as much as they represent a conscious effort by me to strip back some of unnecessary niceties in my music and really sharpen my focus on what makes people dance without crossing the fine line of what makes me sound like me. Correspondant can finally reveal the release of the remixes for Man Power’s debut LP, which was released last year on Correspondant. A year in the making, the remix package features artists and friends hand-picked by both Jennifer Cardini and Man Power himself. Disco Halal’s Moscoman remixes the baggy splendour of Beilsteiner, creating a rolling and belching extended opus more focused toward the peak time dance floor. Hivern Disc’s JMII takes Hunting Swan and turns it inside out, exploring space with a cerebral, schizophrenic quality. Alternatively, Pale Blue (Mike Simonetti) takes Boys Beware and re-imagines it as an aggressive drum workout. Completing the package, Suade, the artist who also mastered the original album, replaces TEN’s balearic leanings with an IDM sensibility, yet still retains the optimism of the original track. All 4 remixes manage to exist as distinct works in their own right, while paying homage to the "magpie" approach of the original long player. More

Born and raised in Newcastle in the UK, Man Power is now embedded in the depths of Mexico in Monterrey, a city on the rise after many years of internal strife. This unique new perspective and observations while on the road as a touring DJ has given Man Power the impetus to launch his new label entitled Me Me Me with his own production ‘Tachyon’ paired with a remix from DJ Tennis. “It stands to reason that if I’m calling my new label project Me Me Me, then I should be the one doing the talking. Deejaying has to contain a bit of selfishness, as it’s all about playing the music that you love, and other people listening. It’s a simple step to go from choosing the music in a club, to choosing music for a record label.’ ‘There currently seems to be a movement of artists forming who are indefinable past the vague limits of their own persona and varied musical mores. I'd like to think I'm part of this movement, so this is my attempt at exploring that concept. Hardway Bros teams up with Beth Cassidy on Rekids for a timeless ode to the legendary Murk Records The release includes a ‘coral way’ dub mix and a remix by Erol Alkan and Richard Norris’ Beyond The Wizards Sleeve. Sean Johnston is the man behind Hardway Bros, an alias well known for wobbly, downtempo, and synth-laced disco jams which have appeared on the likes of Is it Balearic? Whiskey Pickle, and Throne of Blood over the last decade. On this single, which is a love letter to legendary early 90s label Murk Records, Johnston links with vocalist Beth Cassidy, known for her work as part of Manchester’s Sea Fever and Section 25. Hardway Bros’ wonderful 'Murky' is deep and sensual house music. The vocal brings sultry charm, unfolding in soulful style over whimsical ambient pads and chunky drums. It oozes with character and harks back to actual songwriting of days gone by. Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve is an alias of dance music pioneers Erol Alkan and Richard Norris. It was established to bring psyched-out, acid touches to the dance floor and has resulted in a critically acclaimed album on Alkan’s Phantasy Sound and much more. Their excellent Re-Animation is eight minutes of drawn-out disco chug, loose grooves and masterful chord work. Up last is a Coral Way dub that strips things back to the beats, layers in plenty of cosmic FX, and lets your imagination run wild on the tripped-out synth leads that pan between the stars. More

Lindstrøm remixes Radio Slave ft Cagedbaby ‘Amnesia’ The first remix package from Radio Slave’s ‘Venti’ LP features a remix and instrumental from the Norwegian artist. A key single in the run-up to Radio Slave’s ‘Venti’ LP, the distinctly Balearic ‘Amnesia’ cut, which was the sound of Pikes in 2023, is remixed by Norwegian nu-disco pioneer Lindstrøm following the LP’s release in May. The original saw Matt Edwards team up with long-time collaborator Cagedbaby, aka Tom Gandey, for a blissful sunset track that won support from the likes of David Holmes, Sean Johnston, Jennifer Cardini, Peter Kruder and Perel. cOn the ‘Amnesia’ remix package, Lindstrøm turns the downtempo breakbeat in Radio Slave and Cagedbaby’s original into a more upbeat groove with hints of 80s and 90s Euro-Dance in its piano breakdown and squelched-up acid-drenched guitar bass. The Norwegian artist, known for his frequent collabs with Prins Thomas and all-around superb nu-disco works, maintains the original’s sultry vocal, neatly scrubbed off in the instrumental mix for those looking for a party-staring club tool in this evoking ode to Ibiza. Cassimm debuts on Rekids with the jackin’ ‘House of Moves’ EP The Italian-born, London-based Cassimm lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time with the ‘House of Moves’ EP. It kicks off with ‘Body And Soul’, a hands-in-the-air affair backed by a slick, Jackin’ Tech House groove and earworm vocal. It’s a surefire recipe to tease the crowd into a dancefloor moment before Cassimm’s ‘I Hear You’ comes in with plenty of soul on the B-side. Dubby House chords form the base above swinging organic percussion, with another classic vocal working the nostalgia on top. Closing out the EP is the infectious ‘What Ya Looking At’, featuring stripped-back rhythm and big drops set to make for an even bigger crowd reaction. Signing to Rekids off the back of many Radio Slave-supported edits, Cassimm debuts on the label after the chart-topping ‘Say Yeah’ and ‘Love Desire, with supporters like Honey Dijon and Rekids affiliate Nic Fanciulli. Radio Slave's 'Venti' is released on Rekids on May 17th and is a twelve-track celebration of Matt Edward's most prominent alias' history. Starting life as a series of singles that began in 2023, 'Venti' sees Edwards explore lower tempos, House, Disco, and the Pop reinterpretations that birthed the moniker back in 2001.

From Venti’s opening track onwards, a glistening piece of piano-led house that's become an anthem at Sean Johnston and the late Andrew Weatherall's lauded ALFOS parties, it is clear that Edwards is keen to celebrate the past but through the lens of now. A Radio Slave favourite, 'Wait A Minute', is updated to include a powerful vocal from Nez. Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' - a track that kicked Radio Slave into the modern dance music consciousness is reinvented as an Italo-inspired cover featuring Michael Love Michael delivering glorious vocals. One of the most prolific and critically lauded electronic music artists of the past two and half decades, Matt Edwards was born in Catford, London, in the early 1970s. When acid house hit the city, Edwards was deep in the scene, and he's remained there since. Residencies at the groundbreaking Ministry of Sound and an 'unofficial' residency that has seen him become one of Panorama Bar's most booked DJs during his 15-year stint living in Berlin have provided the grounding for an enviable tour diary that continues today.

His Rekids imprint, a label that has platformed some of dance music's biggest names, has been regarded as a high benchmark for two decades with Matt as sole A&R. Collaborations with legendary artists such as DJ Hell and Robert Hood, releases for Running Back, R&S, Innervisions, Figure and more, and a remixography that simply couldn't be repeated in modern music show just how important Radio Slave is. Radio Slave reissues 2000 and One’s noughties house bomb ‘Wan Poku Moro’ with an extended version and a remix by Riva Starr. A real dance ?oor anthem, 2000 and One’s vocal house hit ‘Wan Poku Moro’ was initially released as part of his 2009 ‘Heritage’ album on 100% Pure. The track is now getting a reissue as a single, with two new versions pressed on wax via Rekids, an edit from label boss Radio Slave and a remix from Riva Starr. On the A-side, Radio Slave extends ‘Wan Poku Moro’’s original eight minutes of hyped-up hands-in-the-air house music to the ten-minute mark with Snatch! Records’ Riva Starr remixing the track on the B-side. He returns to Rekids for the ?rst time since his EP with Mark Broom as Star B and reimagines 2000 and One’s track into a late-night warehouse groover, trading its organic percussion for tight, techy drums but maintaining the original’s infectious energy and earworm vocals. Two of dance music's most recognisable names come together once more as Nic Fanciulli returns on the mighty Rekids. Fanciulli has long been one of the leading lights in the house world. His Saved Records label is one of the go-to outlets for forward-thinking grooves thanks to his own music and his on-point A&R of many other talents. Over the years, his releases have explored every facet of house and tech, while the man himself has played every major club and festival in the world. This is Fanciulli's third outing on Rekids after 12"s in 2019 and 2020, and it might be his best yet. The stylish and seductive sounds of 'On My Mind' open up with loopy and catchy vocals, disco-tinged house beats and plenty of feel-good energy. The funky basslines and innovative samples make this a fun, full flavour and heart-warming groove that is sure to get crowds locked in and hands in the air. The brilliant 'U Gotta' is another track steeped in classic references but with a modern twist. It builds in careful layers that tease and please with sustained strings and low, grinding bass offset by the diva vocals and atmospheric crowd noise. When it drops, it is the sort of tune to bring real rapture to the party. More

Tal Fussman’s first EP for Rekids, ‘Definition’, kicks off with ‘Freedom Defines House’ - a contemporary reimagining of the classic NY house cut. Big, drummy and complete with a House-focused spoken vocal, the track channels classic Tenaglia and Vasquez sounds, just with added mix-down punch and flair.

On ’The Royal’, Survival Tactics label-boss Fussman runs with the expansive sound design and power percussion that feature across the whole ‘Definition’ EP but delves into Techno-influences with a soaring set of staccato strings and stabs. ‘Pace’ builds on ’The Royal’s Techno references but contrasts the captivating leads with a tunnelling, heads-down vibe created by rhythmic filtered hits. The closing track, ‘Even Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day’, wraps up the Definition’ EP neatly with a light but driving tone punctuated with yet more anthemic string sections.

Having released on Laurent Garnier’s COD3QR, Innvervisions, Drumpoet, and Dyinamic, Tal Fussman has already established himself as an artist to watch, but this memorable love letter to Detroit and debut for Radio Slave’s evergreen Rekids label sees him take things to the next level. More

Oliver Dollar launches his ‘Contemporary’ series on Rekids and links with ADMN and Austin Ato.

For the first track on the ‘Contemporary Part One’ EP on Rekids, Oliver Dollar joins forces with studio wizard ADMN, a musician, TV Lounge resident, Infolines label owner, and affiliate of Carl Craig's Planet E, among many more top labels. Their brilliant 'Before You' featuring Apropos is a soul-drenched house cut with a classic vibe and an irresistible sense of soul thanks to its smooth vocals. The warm synths light up the loose-limbed groove and ensure a good time.

Oliver Dollar and versatile Scottish producer Austin Ato then serve up 'Portamento Track' for the ‘Contemporary Part One’ EP, an uplifting house gem with serene strings adding a touch of class to the impassioned vocal and disco-tinged groove. Last but not least, Detroit mainstay and Michigander label head Brian Kage remixes Oliver Dollar's 'Strings 4 Life', a track from Dollar’s previous EP on Rekids of the same name and which won the support of Paul Woolford, Honey Dijon, Nightmares On Wax and many more. Monty Luke release ‘Nightdubbing’ LP on Rekids.The Black Catalogue bosses' second album explores dub-infused dance music and, following the recent two EP drops on Rekids, will be released on Radio Slave’s imprint on 29 March. Succeeding part two of Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing’ series on Rekids, the US-via-Berlin artist unveils an album of the same name on Radio Slave’s lauded Rekids imprint. ‘Nightdubbing’ encompasses the ?rst two instalments and adds ?ve more tracks of intricate sonic material, completing this gorgeous work of art already supported by Fred P, nd_baumecker, Louise Chen, and Laurent Garnier. Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing’ album starts in the club, with the rave-primed ‘40 Acres And A Terabyte’ utilising the rich melodies of deep house alongside the crushing weight of subs. It is followed by the title track, with ‘Nightdubbing’ taking a more traditional house route, its soothing sounds enveloping the listener while honing in on that reverb sweet spot. Black Catalogue boss and former Planet-E label manager Monty Luke’s timeless ‘Nightdubbing’ e?ortlessly traverses deep house and techno rife with bass-rattling low-end and experimental rhythms. It is no surprise, then, that the album is heavily inspired by ‘70s and mid-80s dub reggae, seeing Luke incorporate and modernise the genre’s iconic rhythms, spoken word poetry, and spacious bursts of harmony across the LP. ‘Bob Molly’ picks up pace with nods to Caribbean dem bow-like rhythms of old, Monty Luke ?lling the space between its infectious beat with tumbling percussion and echoing plucks. Tracks like ‘Supernova’, ‘New World / Old Future’ and ‘Starstorms’ return to the modern-day traditions of club music while ‘Future Mystic’ and ‘Avant Garde Dance Hall ‘, again ?nd room in between the dance?oor and sound system listening sessions. Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit in?uenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has released on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, and this ?nal complete iteration of ‘Nightdubbing’ continues to push the boundaries of his music. More

Radio Slave pays homage to Fun Boy Three with ‘The Lunatics (A Tribute to Terry Hall)’.
Fun Boy Three’s ground-breaking 1981 anthem ‘The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum’ reflected a socio-political uncertainty and fear of the time, mirroring today’s calamitous society.

Radio Slave’s tribute to the late vocalist of The Specials and Fun Boy Three, Terry Hall, ‘The Lunatics (A Tribute To Terry Hall)’ centres itself on the unmistakable haunting vocal chant of its source material. Welded to the sort of unbreakable groove that Radio Slave has spent two decades refining, the vocal swells, repeating chorus, and jolting alarm sounds make for yet another anthem from one of dance music’s most bankable names.

Rounding out the release, Radio Slave strips the single of its iconic vocal for the ‘A Clinic Full Of Cynics’ dub. In this version, he lets its infectious guitar strum bass roar and added jazz-inflected musical elements shine in a pure and true tribute to Ska music told by the Rekids founder. More

Running Back and Hivern Discs artist Katerina debuts on Rekids with a dreamy house EP titled ‘One’, which features a remix from Aleksi Perälä.

The title track of Katerina’s ‘One’ EP on Rekids starts off with bodied bass drums, rich analogue synthlines and soothing vocal-laced melodies. The Finnish-Bulgarian artist appears on Rekids following her 2023 Panorama Bar debut for the label, now adding Radio Slave’s imprint to her extensive discography on labels like Running Back, Hivern Discs, and Rhythm Section.

Fellow Finnish artist & international scene legend Aleksi Perälä then joins Katerina’s ‘One’ EP for the remix. Known for his imaginative sound design work on Clone, Trip, Rephlex and his own AP Musik label, Perälä turns ‘One’ into an equally whimsical, continually evolving dance trip. Dream-like keys trickle over rolling drums in his version before Katerina’s ‘Papu’ introduces the B-side, featuring a set of wonky chords played over an earworm bassline. ‘Look Into My Eyes’ is up last with gorgeous dubbed-out sonics, deep low-end and more after-hour melodies, closing out this irresistible addition to the Rekids family.

Mark Broom’s return to Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint takes in four tracks that showcase the UK techno legend’s sample-twisting style of house and techno. With a slew of EPs, LPs and remixes for Rekids and sister label RSPSX in recent years, Broom is one of the label’s core roster and most in-demand artists.

Tough drums meet soulful, recognisable strings in ‘Klashjamz’, a real blast to the past chopped up in creatively funky ways. The title track ‘Showtime’ is next, its groove skipping and stuttering before breaking out into jazzy electro swing done right.

On the flip, broom brings in ‘HIGHNRG’, a percussive, peak-time treat that expertly does what it says on the tin via a pulsating, rolling bassline accompanied by hypnotic vocals and infectious rhythm. ‘Jazz Ting’ then closes Mark Broom’s ‘Showtime’ EP, a hyped-up number with an earworm, classic & classy melody.

Hilit Kolet debuts on Rekids with ‘Hot Mess’, including remixes from the legendary Mike Dunn. Following her remix of Terry Farley & Wade Teo’s ‘Why We Dance’, Hilit steps up to the Rekids plate with her debut EP for Radio Slave’s label with her single ‘Hot Mess’. A relentlessly driving drum machine werqout, ‘Hot Mess’ sees her masterfully mixing compulsive, marching rhythms with a fiercely impassioned spoken word vocal. With added raw jackin’ energy in the ‘Even Hotter Mix’, this has the kind of late night runway energy that demands the Sound Factory be rebuilt. On the B-side, Chicago house legend Mike Dunn’s remix of ‘Hot Mess’ is a deep groove that adds a wriggling earworm bassline, while still embracing the enchanting vocal of the original. Hilit Kolet has been an integral part of London’s house scene ever since she started slinging vinyl at Soho’s legendary Black Market Records. Her distinctive, energetic DJ style then established her behind the decks everywhere, from high fashion shows to some of the most celebrated underground clubs in London. 2023 saw Hilit going global with shows from Ibiza to Shanghai via Printworks, Warehouse Project and Ministry of Sound. Rekids welcomes HUD with the ‘Sugar’ single, remixed by Mark Broom and DJ Deep. Unearthed by Radio Slave via a 2022 Ricardo Villalobos set, UK artist HUD lands on the celebrated Rekids imprint with ‘Sugar’, alongside remixes from scene legends Mark Broom and DJ Deep. HUD’s ‘Sugar’ is a high-energy breakbeat track assured to set the dancefloor alight on every occasion, rife with lush piano melodies, a driving bassline and a cheeky, earworm vocal. Reimagining the track first is Rekids regular Mark Broom, infusing ‘Sugar’ with a dose of his mutated battle breaks, turning up the flange on the drums and amplifying its gorgeous piano top-line. This is before DJ Deep closes the record with a big party anthem remix, complete with tripped-out vocal chops and infectious techno rhythm. More

Superpitcher and Idjut Boys remix Radio Slave’s ‘Wake Up’. Radio Slave’s spoken word slow-burner ‘Wake Up’ dropped on Rekids March ‘23, winning support from the likes of Roman Fluegel, Louise Chen and Red Axes and continuing a run of singles that explores the house and disco roots of the iconic British UK/Producer. Now, he invites Kompakt a?liate and Hippie Dance co-founder Superpitcher alongside UK duo Idjut Boys to reimagine ‘Wake Up’ on a fresh 12”. The original ‘Wake Up’ saw Matt Edwards, aka Radio Slave, utilise low-slung grooves and an iconic speech-like vocal. Superpitcher remixes the track ?rst, turning it into an acid-infused trip with its vocal samples echoing through cavernous, dubbed-out soundscapes. Oceanvs Orientalis teases his highly anticipated album 'Portrait of the Obscure’ on Crosstown Rebels with the third and penultimate single ‘Neurality’, remixed by 8Bit and Cecile head honcho Nick Curly. Istanbul-based Safak Oz Kutle, aka Oceanvs Orientalis, is a producer and live act who blends the rich sonic cultures of Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian and Arabic music to curate his take on electronic music.
