Detroit’s DJ Minx debuts on Rekids with the ‘Energy’ EP. She follows her 2025 appearance on the House of Rekids mix series, and at the label’s Panorama Bar showcase in Berlin, before closing the year remixing Radio Slave & Kameelah Waheed’s ‘All Rize’. Known for championing women in the music industry, particularly Detroit DJs and producers, Minx recruits Florida-native, two-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kendra Foster for a larger-than-life, jacking title cut. Robust drums, bright synth stabs, and Foster’s uplifting vocal bring the energy before Minx’s ‘You Can’ features an inspirational spoken word vocal, while low-slung rhythm and a deep, crawling bassline drive the track forward. DJ Minx has been a central figure in Detroit’s musical history since the 90s. Minx has hosted radio shows on WGPR and CJAM, held a residency at Club Motor, and performed at every edition of Movement since 2000. Her contributions have been recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award and honors from Mixmag and Time Out. DJ Minx’s sound is tasteful, the kind that only a veteran producer can achieve. Drum/pulse heavy guttural beats, that somehow seem to latch onto your ribcage and shake it to death with every single pulse. Everything is interconnected in a rhythmical way and it has an almost ‘Tribal’ nuance to it. This music harks to the essence of what House music is, in its truest most primitive form. The music is predominantly created with the rave experience in mind. You can tell it was made by someone who has spent years playing in clubs - you can actually visualize the crowd responding to subtle changes that although distinctive, never distract your ears too much from the overall groove of the tracks.

Linking Cape Town and Southern France, Boogie Vice & N-You-Up follow their 2025 EP on REK’D and deliver a deep cut that slowly builds tension, its organic percussion and warm bassline leading toward a strobe-lit, tripped-out drop. On the ?ip of the second ‘All Rize’ remix EP, Japan’s DJ Sodeyama, under his The People in Fog alias, drifts into more hypnotic territory. Lush pads wash over a low-slung beat and bassline, trading the club for the walk to the after-hours by carrying Waheed’s vocal into something surreal and dreamlike. Completing this left-of-centre B-side, Timedance and Kindergarten’s Jabes twists the original into a warped, textural trip with scratching layers and distorted vocal fragments that pierce through a dense atmosphere. If Sodeyama’s version is the dream, Jabes’ is the chaotic counterpart that follows.

German House artist Oliver Dollar announces his ‘Contemporary’ LP on Rekids, arriving 21st November 2025. Oliver Dollar presents part four of his Contemporary series on Rekids. Germany’s Oliver Dollar returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with Contemporary Part Four, Parts one through three featured collaborations with Austin Ato, Brillstein, Harvard Bass, Hazmat Live, Boogs, and many more, winning support from the likes of Nightmares on Wax, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Carista, Jennifer Cardini, Dam Swindle, and others. For this next chapter of Oliver Dollar’s ‘Contemporary’, elements of Dub serve as the unifying thread, opening part four with ‘Speakers Bleed’, a jazz-in?ected House cut from Oliver and Classic Music Company and Ninja Tune artist Seven ‘Sev’ Davis Jr. Hypnotic vocals swirl through deep, groove-laden rhythms, setting the tone for the EP’s ?uid, atmospheric feel before Oliver reunites with Golden Gate club resident and long-time collaborator Nils Ohrmann for the Hallelujah Dub of ‘The New Is Here’. The track features the soulful voice of Detroit songwriter and Contemporary series regular APROPOS while gospel-tinged background vocals and rich textures sit over an infectious percussive rhythm. On the ?ip, Oliver Dollar & Brillstein’s ‘Pill Popper’ from Contemporary Part Two is reworked by La Boix, the duo of LA”s Thee Mike B (aka Brillstein) and producer Salva, whose credits include work with RL Grime, Kurupt, E-40, and the Grammy-nominated album of ScHoolboy Q, as well as remixes for Rihanna, Boys Noize and Nelly Furtado. Their version is a late-night, low-slung trip, with echoing keys and vocals drifting through deep basslines. Closing the EP, Seven Davis Jr. returns for a dub of ‘Before You’, Oliver’s collaboration with ADMN from Contemporary Part One. Retaining APROPOS’ heartfelt vocal from the original, Sev layers bright, soul-drenched synths over rolling drums, delivering an irresistible, feel-good ?nale.

Legendary father-daughter duo Floorplan remix the single, with the release following up Kolet’s 2024 ‘Snap Talk’ EP, which won support from artists like Dam Swindle, Chloé Caillet, Bradley Zero, and more. With lyrics that connect London and New York, ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ is a tough, funk-fueled roller true to Hilit Kolet’s signature production style, infused with an unmatchable personality via The Illustrous Blacks’ playful, vogue-like vocals. It’s hypnotic, bold, and irresistible, with the pair supplying a loopy ‘First Class’ mix that introduces vocal elements not featured in the original, amplifying the track’s qualities to hit even harder, and works the dancefloor into a sweat. Robert and Lyric Hood, known together as Floorplan, remix Hilit Kolet & The Illustrous Blacks’ ‘Transatlantic Kiki’. Danny Howells debuts on Rekids with the ‘Throb’ EP. The legendary DJ’s DJ first EP for Radio Slave’s imprint sees him pair with keyboard player Elliott Herrington. Howells, a quietly revered figure in house music since the mid ‘90s, delves deep across the ‘Throb’ EP, which celebrates subtle drum programming, otherworldly keys and soundscapes throughout. The cossetting warmth of ‘Throb’, a track which tips the smallest of nods to Danny’s role in the heyday of progressive house, was born out of a late-night studio session - long forgotten about and then rediscovered, re-appraised, as so many great tracks are. ‘Thrunk’, another supremely heady cut, follows and sees keys slide around the mix, modulated and tweaked just enough to create a constant feeling of movement without losing balance, firmly rooted by a bassline that Howells, contrary to his usual practice, wrote first. Danny Howells is a darling of British dance music. Emerging in the late 1990s with the likes of the era-defining Jackpot Records, his journey in dance music has always been about music, which has seen him eschew frantic touring and production schedules in favour of doing what he loves. Coastal Commission “Bring Down the Walls”
“Bring down the Walls” was a nod to Raze’s “Break for Love”, Robert Owens “Bring
Down the Walls” and Ritchie Hawtin’s use of the Roland 606 throughout “Sheet One.”
We gave the tune a Californian psychedelic twist with conga laden drums, a moody
synth, low pulsing 303 patterns + Benjamin Zephaniahs patois call to “Move the Body
Rhythmwize!”
The first PCH releases had dropped Worldwide to International acclaim from DJ’s far
and wide across the Globe with support in London, Paris & New York. However the
local scene here in L.A that preached “Love, inclusion & Unity” was anything but that.
L.A at that time was very tribal & divided up into 3 camps. If you weren’t affiliated with
any of them (aka independent) then you were pretty much locked out of getting any kind
of gig support or the Dj’s from those camps actually playing the music.
The local feedback from Dj’s was that what we were making wasn’t “house,” but
“Techno” which was absurd to me. “Bring Down the Walls” was a mantra to “move the
bod”y and in doing so “bring down the walls” of separation not just in L.A but throughout
society in general. Thank goodness for support from people like Terry Francis, Eddie
Richards, DJ Deep & Philly Stalwart King Britt.
After years of copies going for upward of $100+ on Discogs the now freshly remastered
copies by At Jazz’s Martin Iveson are finally hitting the platters this Spring.

“Brighter Days” & “Set you Free” from them and released the tracks on my Seductive
imprint. They told me that they were making the tracks on a Sony Playstation “Music
Now” program and I was like FFS “What.s more Underground than that!?”
Later Jesse gave me some of his solo work. The track “Let it Go” was never mastered &
only ever cut to Dub-plate and featured on my 1st PCH mix “Pacific Coast House
Sounds.”
It has now been mastered by Martin Iveson and is available in all it’s glory.
The dreamy vocal “You need to let it go” beckons over the top of driving percussive
Latin beats and church organ which is a great compliment to the flip side of “Bring down
the Walls.”
All in all two West Coast stompers now finally available remastered on PCH in Orange

Chez Damier and Ralph Lawson had a fruitful transatlantic hook-up decades ago in a famous farmhouse studio in West Yorkshire. The fruits of that session gave rise to some timeless jams - most notably on 2015's full length collaborative album Lost In Time - including the ones appearing here, though two have come in all-new forms. 'A Dedication to Jos', named in honour of Lawson's friend and late Back to Basics resident, is a mid-tempo sound with phased vocals pacing about the mix and a classic bassline that gets a slight Wulf Lost Tape edit. 'Thank You' then comes as a Ralph Lawson dub and has a darker energy rising from the moody bassline. Closer 'The Moment' then brings some soul with warm chord injections, supple spoken words and a cool as you like groove. An evergreen EP for sure.

Way back in 1998, following five years DJing and organising free parties as part of Sheffield's Smokescreen Soundsystem, Andy Riley and Laurence Ritchie joined forces in the studio as Inland Knights. They went on to deliver a huge amount of high-grade UK house music, but it was on this EP - here reissued for the first time in remastered form - that they first showcased their distinctively chunky, DIY-influenced sound. Check first the squelch-and-bump of soul-flecked late-night roller 'Mud Substance', before getting your ears around the dubby bass, hypnotic beats and spacey licks of 'Souldoubt'. 'Deep In' is a strutting, energetic affair full of raw analogue bass and mind-mangling effects, while 'Spent Up' is a tougher and looser slab of deep house funk.

Marlon George is a British DJ and producer based in London renowned for his "slightly spacey, casually jazzy, and fully groovy house music," with support from names as illustrious as Kyle Hall and Jimpster. But really, if he's getting signed by the legendary Trelik, then that's all you need to know about his skills. He lays them bare across three tasteful cuts here, starting with the liquid dub of 'My Secrets Are Safe With Me' with its wispy shards of light piercing the water's surface and glistening against the dusty hi-hats. 'Najagen' has more drive but no less depth and warmth to it and 'Do The Rha!' is another smoky, minimal, heady dub house roller that sneaks right under your skin.
