Following his impressive debut EP ‘Mirror In Man’, which touched on cosmic folk jams and Balearic pop, the Belgium singer-producer Mozes Mosuse aka Movulango has announced his second project ‘The Irony’, a 5 track EP out 24th November via Soulwax’s DEEWEE label. Movulango’s musical paintings are a visual and intuitive reflection of what it feels like to be him. His weekly radio show, Radio Atlantis on StuBru, Belgium, is a clever alias he uses to explore different worlds, deconstruct existing music and blend it with his own musical experiments. His latest project ‘The Irony’ is further insight into Movulango's devine mind, building deeply personal stories on feeling and emotion that bundle into soaring melodies and lyrics. Natasha Pirard returns with her most personal project yet, dedicated to her mother and late grandmother, whose care shaped her life. Fernande, Cecile is a photobook of songs, weaving voice, field recordings, synthesizer, and violin into an ode to her matrilineal line. Pirard lost her grandmother at seven, yet Fernande’s warmth stayed with her as a touchstone. Her mother, Cecile, has been a constant presence, guiding her through difficult years. Alzheimer’s—her grandmother’s illness—and the fragility of memory permeate the work. A conversation with her mother sparked the album: over coffee, Cecile placed a hand on her heart and said, “If I ever develop this disease, don’t forget I’m still here (inside).” That moment became central to the compositions, which translate Pirard’s gratitude and love into music as tender as possible. The music moves in fragments—notes, chords, loops—evoking gardens, sunlight, and childhood afternoons. Rhythms shift like life itself, carrying echoes of loss and the persistence of memory. Ambient textures brush against her voice and instruments, sometimes punctuated by her grandmother’s favorite bird. The album unfolds in two parts: Fernande, capturing her grandmother’s warmth and fading recollections, and Cecile, honoring her mother’s care and resilience. Track titles trace memories while the music drifts through longing and gratitude, articulating what words cannot. The album was written and recorded by Natasha Pirard, produced and mixed by David & Stephen Dewaele of Soulwax/2manydjs at DEEWEE.

For all the theoretical posturing and hifalutin claims that accompany a lot of modern-day electronic music, it’s great to be reminded that dance music can simply – and beautifully – exist solely as a functional collection of sounds that gets people moving on the dancefloor. This is the unapologetic premise at the heart of Phillipi’s second solo EP, ‘Terra Gira’ on DEEWEE.

Mixing widescreen electronica – think early Mr Fingers-like techno and Yellow Magic Orchestra’s exuberant man-machine minimalism – with the warm-hearted and wonky naivete of Belgian New Beat Bolis’ singular sonics are at once playful emotive unrelenting and tender. The title track is inspired by a dream Bolis had of a pagoda in Hong Kong featuring a contemplative Buddha made of neon lights. With Pharoah Sanders’ blessing, we present the definitive, remastered version of PHAROAH, his seminal record from 1977, in an embossed 2 LP box set. Alongside the original record, we’re including two previously unreleased live performances of his masterpiece, “Harvest Time," and a 24-page booklet with rarely seen photographs and ephemera, which tell the story of this album and this moment in Pharoah’s life in a way that has never been done before—including through interviews with many of the participants and a conversation with Pharoah himself.

With only 3 EPs on Toy Tonics, he might be the most talked about producer on the Berlin label (with Cody Currie and Coeo). One of his Italian disco songs form his last EP ITALIANISSIMO ("Chiamami Subito“) made it into the high rotation playlist of the biggest Italian pop radio and is still growing in the international club underground.
Now Sam comes with a new EP. And this EP shows his other side. Until now Sam has been known for his Italian organic disco songs (no samples, all instruments played live). But for his new BROOKLYN TAPES EP the Italo-Sicilian DJ, producer and super styler Sam Ruffillo worked with a few American rappers and soul singers to create what a New York critic called „post digital soul house music“.
In fact these 4 songs are house and electronic funk - but it's also rap music and R&B and disco. Played in a very modern way, musically colorful and complex and extremely groovy. Its dance music made by musicians - not by DJs. And that makes a big difference. The melodic and harmonic elements are catchy and clever, the chord progressions are beautiful and the syncopated bass lines make you think about great bass play by maestros like Bootsy Collins or Marcus Miller (musicians know them!). It’s a rap house & disco soul EP and it features a well known Canadian rapper (who decided to stay anonymous) as well as Edson Sean, soul singer and composer from New York.
For Toy Tonics this is one more step in the evolution of high quality dancefloor music for the future. Combining house with soul, jazz with 4 to the floor beats, disco with Indie, the Toy Tonics crew is working hard on new forms of quality dance music. And finding the most interesting new artists. We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records is thrilled and honored to announce the first ever official vinyl pressing of the soundtrack for Mamoru Oshii's critically acclaimed and all around legendary science fiction anime film GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995), adapted from Masamune Shirow's groundbreaking manga series of the same name.
Cut from the original master reels at Emil Berliner Studios (formerly the in-house recording department of renowned classical record label Deutsche Grammophon), the album comes as a LP accompanied by a bonus one-sided 7" housed in official Ghost in the Shell artwork sleeve with silver gilt printing and a Japanese obi, and contains extensive 24-page liner notes.
The haunting score is composed by Kenji Kawai, one of Japan's most celebrated soundtrack composers, alongside Joe Hisaishi and Ry?ichi Sakamoto, whose work includes Hideo Nakata's Ring (1998) and Ring 2 (1999), Death Note (2006), Hong Kong films Seven Swords by Tsui Hark (2005) and Ip Man by Wilson Yip (2008), and countless others. Kawai's compositions see ancient harmonies and percussions uncannily mesh with synthesized sounds of the modern world to convey a sumptuous balance between folklore tradition and futuristic outlook. For its iconic main theme "Making of Cyborg", Kawai had a choir chant a wedding song in ancient Japanese following Bulgarian folk harmonies, setting the standard for a timeless and unparalleled soundtrack that admirably echoes the film's musings on the nature of humanity in a technologically advanced world.
Ghost in the Shell is widely considered one of the best anime films of all time and its influence has been felt in the work of numerous movie directors, including James Cameron (Avatar), the Wachowskis (The Matrix), and Steven Spielberg (AI: Artificial Intelligence).

Bárbara Boeing joined Toy Tonics. The Brazilian DJ selector and heavy addicted worldwide vinyl digger (that some of you might have seen at the last Dekmantel Selectors Festival). Bárbara has been playing with the Toy Tonics DJs for some time, so it was just a matter of when the EP would happen. Now it’s the moment.
Bárbara teamed up with Sam Ruffillo, the Italian producer, keyboarder, DJ (who just had a little scene hit with the Italianissimo release). Sam helped her to shape 3 tracks. Dance floor fillers that Bárbara basically did the way SHE needs them for her DJ sets. And the results are bangers. Inspired by people like DJ Raffa, Mr. Monday, Yello, MBG international Records, Penny Penny she and Sam created 3 instrumentals that reflect 3 different shades of Bárbara’s taste:
Baile Do Silêncio:
Inspired by the 90s funk from Brazil and its high energy inside the dance floors, Baile Do Silêncio was made to make people dance.
Brasiliana:
Dreamy Italo House chords over some Latin percussion creates the intimist atmosphere of this deep and mysterious track.
Brigada:
Hard to be categorized into one genre, this track serves a pinch of Balearic elements over a dancefloor-oriented House with some Kwaito and also Italo Disco references.
Bárbara Benghi Boeing – yes, that is her real name - comes from Curitiba, South of Brazil. She is a great example of a person with an ultimate passion for music, spending big periods of her life only searching for sounds, organizing parties, playing in hundreds of events and then slowly growing into an international famed DJ personality that stands for a high-quality music standard and a tasteful selection that only SHE can serve.
Bárbara is very disciplined in selecting and creating moods inside of her sets. As she puts it: “... there is a magical part in attracting people into the music that is more of a feeling or sometimes just a mix of tracks I like. In my mind, I usually know where I am going to for the next couple of tracks. My DJ sets become something very individual in the end. With Sam, I wanted to create tracks that can fit into certain special moments of my sets..“
In fact, her sets are very exiting soulful trips through different sound worlds. Always very colorful and percussive, sometimes deeper, often full of Latin positivity. She has a long history of DJing and searching for music since she started to play guitar with 13 years and later became part of a local DJ crew (with Phil Mill, who is part on one of the tracks of this EP) in Alter Disco, her local party in Curitiba. Slowly, she became known and started to play outside.
She adds: "When I had the opportunity to go to Europe, I used to send a million emails to people that maybe would like my music and one or two would answer me, then I could play at small gigs and radios. Then, slowly people started to invite me for bigger things. Over the last 2 years now, there is a lot of buzz around Bárbara. She was invited to play main time slots at festivals like Dekmantel (BR) and Dekmantel Selectors, Time Warp, Nuits Sonores, Lente Kabinet, Cocktail D'Amore, Flow Festival and many others .. and is part of the Toy Tonics Jam DJ crew officially now.

Wewantsounds is glad to continue its Akiko Yano reissue series with the release of the singer"s third studio album "To Ki Me Ki", recorded in New York and released in 1978 in Japan. It follows her cult "Iroha Ni Konpeitou" LP and keeps the similar blend of Japanese pop and New York funk found in the latter. "To Ki Me Ki" features such musicians as Rick Marotta, Will Lee and David Spinozza and also programmer Hideki Matsutake who would soon join the YMO with Akiko for their international 1979/1980 tour before she recorded her next studio album "Tadaima" that year, featuring the YMO musicians. "To Ki Me Ki" is reissued outside of Japan for the first time, remastered in Tokyo by revered engineer Mitsuo Koike and featuring original artwork by Tsutomu Murakami with 4 page colour insert and new liner notes by Paul Bowler.

ASC & Dan Azimuth AKA DJ Levi (Okbron, Repertoire, Spotlight) are proud to present their new collaborative project, Curvature.
Curvature will showcase a similar style to ASC's own pioneering label Spatial, which focuses on music inspired by the golden era of atmospheric drum & bass / jungle from the mid 90's. Curvature will shine a light on emerging talent in this space, as well as featuring established artists such as Spatial's own Aural Imbalance - who kicks the label off with Galactic Transmission.
Galactic Transmission features four diverse tracks from the genre stalwart, previously showcased on Dan Azimuth's own Atmoteka mix and the Atmospheals podcast, as well as ASC's 'Spatial Show' on Blast Radio, and will be instantly recognisable to listeners of those shows - finally released for fans to enjoy on Curvature's maiden voyage.
