this 12" is a great foretaste of thomas melchiors album "no disco future" (perl66) that is scheduled for a mid november release. Both tracks won't be available on this album. The a-side features a mesmerising deep and warm house tune of the kind you can't crop because it's getting better and better. melodic, yet with a perfect sense for what to omit. on the flipside melchior takes it to a more abstract level keeping the groove clearly in mind. house music More

Feel safe: like newborn, take your first careful steps on a clean slate while Maayan is your supervisor. Naïve and happy, you leave carbonbon footprints on your way into the positives. Then a faster pace: some tribal folk music from a tiny world, where people dance around an LED fire, commands a gallop to the one and ollam. Latinfection guaranteed.
Your nonplus motion interferes with environmental geometry. A memory from an analog past flashes like a daydream. Upward and rising, your smile workout succeeds while scintillating waves say “hello!”. Having grown up to a motorik being, the determined goal however never appears. The journey into a perfect storm is the reward. Maayan sends you some motivating words.
Then have a break and jump on the light train of thoughts to enjoy blurred reflections: on the water and in your mind. Sing your body beautiful and free. Words come in bubbles, a heart-throb away from a light tower. Feel like stumbling into new adventures on a pathless terrain.
Slowly and cautious, the novemberme, which is the one that approaches dawn, celebrates tristesse with a funny accent. Kick the blues with a beat. Somewhere lost but regenerated, find sisyphos’ generator of vitality. A nascent religious mood at the Autobahn service station fades into the fog.

Wareika invite us to their „Harmonie Park“, a place created by the love of improvisation. At the park, poles have shifted already! Florian Schirmacher, Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe, all full-time musicians, tuned their instruments to introduce us to this parallel universe. It.s about the various possible perceptions of one single moment. Loops and sequences, subjected to virtual tempo changes, without leaving the Bpm scale. In the park, everything is always in the flow. Jazz / Techno / Funk / House, all elements that appear / dissapear throughout the composition. Wareika manage to bring all this together effortlessly, without even thinking in those categories. The deeper you get into the park, the more you get absorbed by the dynamics of interlaced, polyrhythmic modulations. Luckily the groove acts like the park ranger, showing you around while

After several releases on Labels like Context or Background, he started his own imprint "Süd Electronic" around 2002. Another Project named "Bodycode" was born and found a home at USA based "Spectral", the sisterlabel of Ghostly.His first "Portable" album was released at the end of 2007 through "Süd Electronic". Roman Flügel’s debut on Running Back under his given name (Roman IV doesn’t count) is a wonderful confirmation of his outstanding position in the past, present and future of electronic music. Needless to mention all his merits (or monikers for that sake) and excessive in almost any style, „Garden Party“ highlights his competence in the dance hall and sees Flügel in a jovial mood. Presented by someone who knows the roots of it all, you can hear and envision traces of disco, stories of Manchester’s Hacienda, memories of the night life in Frankfurt as well as the reflections in and of US-American mirror balls. But simultaneously, the rich content here also shows the blossoms of the seed, if one avoids the danger of retromania. This is serious fun and as uplifting as a garden party should be. Or based loosely on the creator’s thoughts: if ABC’s blue-eyed soul stems from punk and new wave, Flügel’s „Look of Love“ is a direct result of more than 25 years of kick drums .

Height/Dismay were the M Squared studio-as-instrument duo of Patrick Gibson and Dru Jones. A member of Systematics and Scattered Order, Gibson was an integral part of the M Squared label and studio, where he met Jones. With an unapologetic misuse of instruments and ample time, the two sonic explorers scraped guitar strings, manipulated clarinets, and contact mic’d woks to layer their echo chamber apparitions.

Collating three 1981 recordings, the then-shelved ‘Blood Pressure In The Sand’ joins ‘Dusk’, their con-tribution to archetypal cassette-zine Fast Forward. Also unreleased, ‘The Tinning Test’ rejects formal lyrics in favour of a deadpan reading from the Australian Standard for tinned copper wire. The outsid-ers of the outside, these mutual minds’ productions have long been overlooked as crucial pieces of the Australian DIY music puzzle.

Height/Dismay is pressed in an edition of 281 hand stamped white labels, wrapped in white ink print-ed coloured card.

Three’s a charm: U-Star, Noid and Droid! Of course, Dan Tyler and Conrad McDonnell have done way more than that. Better known as Idjut Boys, they were still there when the sun-of the summer of love went down and the acid house fever settled down. As remixers extraordinaire, party priests, dub poets or mirror ball hippies, they were broadening minds with labels like Discfunction and treating disco as a way of life. It’s hard to imagine the British club (and music) scene without their mark. Here is their long overdue return under the Droid umbrella. Reactivated for the needs and dance nerds of today, Droid initially had been designed for straight up machine music, fierce drums, electronic body music and bass heavy melodies in 2008. Following that template, Droid 0422 sounds like a cocktail made from Prelude bonus beats, Supertronics dubs and stand off between George Kranz and Curt Cress. Following the club and label’s 20th anniversary back in 2011, Tresor memorialised its two decades of existence with an exclusive
mix from one of its esteemed Detroit connections, Mike Huckaby. On that mix, Mike Huckaby included an exclusive production of
his, the first one to be released on Tresor Records.
Today, Tresor is proud to announce the repress of the ‘The Tresor Track’ on wax, making up for a massive A-side cut at 45 RPM.
This title is on its way to stand along with the label’s most important classics, a genuine anthem for the Berlin techno institute.
On the flip, Mike Huckaby goes for a stroll through the Tresor building, heading downstairs, exploring the room’s darker and more
twisted corners with ‘Basement Trax’, going back towards ‘The Upstairs Lounge’ and surprising his audience with some original
rhythmic patterns. The Tresor EP is a statement, a seal manifesting for a fruitful and long-lasting collaboration between Mike
Huckaby and Tresor.
"I try to create a vibe, feeling or idea that could create a vicarious expression. Often, this is derived from many of my personal
clubbing experiences. I have a permanent snapshot in my mind from the vibe I remember at the Music Institute in Detroit, or the
Shelter in NYC. So I vibe o of that quite often. In terms of house, it's usually based around strong chord progressions, and very
colorful and expressive sounds. For techno, it can be a mixture of both, or purely abrasive and dance floor driven.
Music is reciprocal. I have coined or phrased a term called "the reciprocal relationship" in music. The reciprocal relationship in
music demonstrates that tones excite chords, and chords excite tones. Here's an example to further elaborate on that: A chord
can invoke a specific feeling within the listener. But the strength or degree in which a feeling is invoked within the listener has a
lot to do with the notes or chord progression that is played upon a specific tone or patch.” Mike Huckaby, 2010.
