Release Note
For Room Trax's 14th installment none other than Setoac Mass, VSK, Kaiser and Kwartz gather up to set the masses into motion. Functional but with a great understanding of aesthetics "Isotopic Signature" creates a propelling symbiosis of four thoroughly crafted, timeless gems dedicated to dark and sweaty dancefloors. Driving, impressive, and energetic it's keeping up tension from end to end and reflects the very core of modern techno while being a solid tribute to the origins of the scene.
Coming in deep and with heavy groove Setaoc Mass' "Contemporary Decline" quickly raises tension with exceptionally crafted percussion elements. As a unique tool for the long nights to come and paired with its distinctive atmosphere, it transports a sophisticated balance between modern bassline-driven techno and the typically clean and classic Setaoc Mass manner.
With "Luna" VSK once again proves his profound devotion to the darker realms of techno. Dark, impressive, and embedded in mesmerizing textures it catches the audience with its pounding pressure dissolving into a mind-bending tapestry of sound. Full of interesting details and driving rhythms it lets you dive into otherworldly soundscapes.
Reminiscent of the early days of techno the characteristic and bouncy vibe of "Asereth" paves the way for another bassline-driven ride for the listener - fast and energetic all the way through. One thing's for sure, once started Kaiser's latest opus just seems to be unstoppable carrying everyone along.
As an exquisite wrap-up for the EP "Red Flame" leads with a quirky and hypnotically sequenced melody seamlessly uniting with galloping drums and percussions to form a trippy peak-time weapon. Stylistically confident as always Kwartz once again delivers pure heat and a perfect complement to "Isotopic Signature". More

The time has finally come to have Kwartz in this house again and we couldnt be more satisfied with the quality of the work he has delivered. It is clear that his new residency at the best techno club on the planet, Berghain, has helped his inspiration multiply exponentially and this is definitely reflecting in this brand new work that leaves us wanting more.
Four slices of techno with all the letters, which define exactly what the genre should be without seasonal additives, dynamic electronic dance music, without an expiration date, which could be signed thirty years ago or in the distant future.
Mario does not entertain himself with extreme speeds, nor with predictable developments, nor with pre-cooked sounds. His approach to musical creation is slow and artisenal, meditating and maturing each of the ingredients he uses without fear of being left out of the media radar.
This enitre procedure is reflected un the excellent result, The Golden Hour is a perfect example of everything said above. Strong and firm rhythms, constantly evolving arrangements, elaborate sound design and a firm dance attitude.
Enter The Zone turn rhythms towards broken bass drums, slightly presses the accelerator and introduces disturbing atmospheres combined with organic percussion details in a masterful way. A true catalyst for expert mixers.
On side B, Under Control once again breaks tradition with a broken, hypnotic and continuous rhythms, a first-rate brain driller for the clubs peak moments.
The EP ends with Animal Instinct, which does not lower the intensity one bit, adding an overwhelming rhythm with dynamic percussive details, with no room for rest, perfect for the dancers to travel to unknown dimensions. More

Kwartz - Frontline
It's a big pleasure for us to welcome back Mario to the label after a long while. He delivers four raw cuts of harsh techno, crude, direct to the bone but always with a wise use of the elements to make things intelligent and intrincated.
First cut "Pattern execution" proves all this as a statement. Obsessive sequences, distorted groove elements, tension all over an ever changing arrangement.
"Path of authority" reminds the early Birmingham days, again using distortion as weapon. Bringing the heritage of the best records from the nineties to this dystopian present we live in.
"Balance of power" runs over similar parameters than the previous two, increasing the BPM rate and delivering more intricate sequence lines and paranoia.
"Frontline" closes this crude exercise, still fast, still hard but yet mental and futuristic. More

After his debut on PoleGroup last year with a track 'Hate' selected for the compilation release Unknown Landscapes - EP 1, Kwartz makes a proper return to the label with Form and Void EP. Hailing from Madrid, DJ and producer Kwartz started his career in 2011 and within fairly a short time he has developed and refined his own hypnotic, dark and enveloping techno. Amongst notable releases to date is his first vinyl EP Fenomen (2013), a joint release with Pole Group artist Exium on their Nheoma imprint. Form and Void EP features two strong originals and two equally powerful remix supports from the label mates and core members of Pole Group, Reeko and Exium. The title track 'Form and Void' kicks off with straight forward 4/4 rhythmic groove that gradually builds up layer by layer in to the darker shade to meet the mysterious break, followed by heavy brooding bass tones slashing through the kick drums, deepening the atmosphere with the hollowing echoes. Reeko's remix elevates the dark mood of original while pumping in even more energy with rolling kick/hat combo and psychedelic swirling chaos of synth that intensifies throughout the entire length of the track. 'Breakage' on the flip side possess much more hardened groove, pounding out the drums packed with blinding force. Exium's remix takes the tension-filled doomsday feel of original to another level and gives a new dimension to the heavy merciless percussion by adding haunting howling echoes that growls like that of ghosts combined with more muted drums and subtle layers of stabs of kicks and effects. Kwartz holds nothing back with Form and Void EP, delving in to the darkest and deepest realm of subterranean pulses that fit perfectly for the dance floor with dimmed light and big sound system.

Monocode seeks the root code of techno with the release of the EP Solitude by Kaiser.
Two original tracks hit the ground running to the beat of a mechanical war drum, aggressive and determined: today's Spartans charging into the night. The title track "Solitude" storms into a dark basement of flashing strobes and lasers. "Another Platform" is a cavalry charge at full gallop. The smooth roll of the beat maintains the pressure as you put miles onto your sneakers against the rave's concrete floor.
Two remixes continue the charge at their own pace. The first is a bouncier beat stripped of its heavy bass, punctuated by cymbals and classic hand claps to lighten the mood. The last track on the EP might at first seem like you could catch your breath, but it's only swinging around to flank the beat from a more angular direction. More

Tracklist EP:
a1 Inside The Circle
a2 Inside The Circle ( Miss Sunshine Remix )
b1 Inside The Circle ( Urbano Remix )
b2 Inside The Circle ( Toms Due Remix )
Short info:
After the success of Pangea by Dast , it is time for Kaiser to come back to Etruria Beat .
This releases offers four very different versions of the title track " Inside The Circle "
Original version is a hypnotic distorted beat full of surprises and twists , with a repetitive "inside " vocal that will take you by the hand and escort you to the dancefloor
The first remix comes from Croatia native Miss Sunshine who decided to take it to acid land .
The young lady keeps up with the strong techno beat and hypnotic vocals but decided to add a fat acid sequence to underline the whole track
Etruria ´s regular Toms Due also went the acid way , with a very different line , more in the middle ground , still very groovy and straight to the floor
German Luis Urbano ´s rework starts with a fat beat with vocal punctuation , to progressively land into some techno synths .
Another must have release from Etruria Beat

a1 Save The Chord ( Mattias Fridell Remix ) a2 Save The Chord b1 Medusa b2 Save The Chord ( Dj Emerson Remix )
Short info:
Kaiser is a Bari-based producer and DJ. He began his collaboration with Etruria Beat in 2013 with the track "Conversation", part of the VA named Bud Sampler (Part 1), many times played by Richie Hawtin.
Today he presents his first Ep for Etruria, entitled "Medusa".
The pack consists of two original tracks "Save the Chord", so entitled because of the presence of some overlapping dub-chords which intersect one each other and create a melody on which grows a well balanced groove; and "Medusa" taking its name by the Ep, is a techno track with an aggressive and imposing rhythm , perfect for the most powerful dancefloors!
In addition then, two remixes by highly respected artists in the European techno scene: DJ Emerson , Microfon Rec. owner and well-known producer on Clr and Sleaze records, infecting "Save the Chord" with his typical sound, comes up with a powerful kick and a impetuous groove, restless.
Finally Matthias Fridell , after many releases on relevant techno labels such as like Gynoid Audio and AFFIN supplies a dark-and-meantime-melodies contaminated version, crossing some Detroit-reminding sounds. Enjoy !

Label head honchos Angioma and BLANKA are back on Room Trax's newest vinyl release, providing two original pulsing cuts. And for the occasion, the imprint's runners are accompanied by two high-caliber remixers: none other than Matrixxman and Adriana Lopez.
With "Nightmare", Angioma proposes a piece that is destined to keep the dancefloor lively with stylish fashion. On remix duties, Matrixxman places his touch on the original, adding cinematic and futuristic soundscapes which are perfectly built for big rooms.
On the B-side, BLANKA's "Speechless" offers more introspectiveness and her signature deep seductive groove. Meanwhile, Adriana Lopez reshapes the original's refinement into a driving, prime-time track to round off this "Night Speech" EP. More

More

Sales Note
The label returns with a brand new Various Artists vinyl release, this time tapping two of the scene's staples and a couple of uprising talents, plus a collab between Room's very own Angioma and BLANKA.
Finely distorted kicks on "ANOTHER STAIN", by P.E.A.R.L., kick off the VA. With a constant yet evolving synth line, playful percussions that come and go and filter effects, the Spanish artists brings the dynamism to this piece. Maestro Jonas Kopp debuts on the imprint, delivering the acidic "Reversing The Poles". Jonas's shifting atmospheres and depth make this one a perfect tension builder for dancefloors.
On "Spare Matrix", Egotot and Franz Jager (who are no strangers to each other) team up again to present a track with elements from both artists. A rumbling low end, siren-like sounds and a constant uprising energy make this one an essential driving weapon. The deeper cut on the Various Artists, "Innapropiate content", is brought by Room founders Angioma and BLANKA, characterised by the pair's very own rolling rhythms and hypnotism that put an end to this superb 4-track compilation. Sales Note
With a vast catalogue of releases under his belt, Netherlands mainstay artist TWR72 debuts on Room with Narrow EP, delivering an impactful, seriously effective release that's well accompanied by an immense remix from the up-and-coming Mathys Lenne.
The title track "Narrow" sets the tone for what's to come on the front side, with a rumbling kick and low end, destructive vocals and bleeps that make up a perfect tension builder for peak time slots. Adding his own sturdy, fiery and visceral vision of Techno, the young French artist proposes his version of "Narrow", adding an atmospheric tension and swank drum work to the original. Not for the faint-hearted.
On the B-side, TWR72's very own, characteristic sound brings "Generous" and "Exact", two slick, drummy and useful tools that will surely fit into a lot of DJ's bags. More
