Inspired by his first bought techno vinyls back in the late 90s, TWR72 crafted his new project for OOM Records. Titled "iOi", it symbolizes a drum, with the 'i's as arms/hands or sticks and the 'O' as the drum itself.
Each of the ten tracks boasts its own title, yet when the initial letters are combined, they spell out 'percussion.' Drums and percussion have long been pivotal to the essence of music, evolving from primitive beginnings to intricate forms. Their significance spans cultures worldwide, each with its own rich narrative.
In techno, percussion is key, capable of moving listeners without other instruments. The late 90s and early 20s witnessed a surge of percussion-driven techno, enduring as timeless and functional pieces still embraced today. Yet, this enchantment has only been fleetingly replicated in the past two decades. "iOi" serves as an homage to that distinctive era. More

A bipolar relationship between highs and lows, mixing and interchanging relentlessly. Vivacious percussion converges with an ever present, round and bouncy bassline resulting in an emotionally irrational, but technically intelligent execution.

Label head honchos Angioma and BLANKA are back on Room Trax's newest vinyl release, providing two original pulsing cuts. And for the occasion, the imprint's runners are accompanied by two high-caliber remixers: none other than Matrixxman and Adriana Lopez.

With "Nightmare", Angioma proposes a piece that is destined to keep the dancefloor lively with stylish fashion. On remix duties, Matrixxman places his touch on the original, adding cinematic and futuristic soundscapes which are perfectly built for big rooms.

On the B-side, BLANKA's "Speechless" offers more introspectiveness and her signature deep seductive groove. Meanwhile, Adriana Lopez reshapes the original's refinement into a driving, prime-time track to round off this "Night Speech" EP. More

The label returns with a brand new Various Artists vinyl release, this time tapping two of the scene's staples and a couple of uprising talents, plus a collab between Room's very own Angioma and BLANKA.

Finely distorted kicks on "ANOTHER STAIN", by P.E.A.R.L., kick off the VA. With a constant yet evolving synth line, playful percussions that come and go and filter effects, the Spanish artists brings the dynamism to this piece. Maestro Jonas Kopp debuts on the imprint, delivering the acidic "Reversing The Poles". Jonas's shifting atmospheres and depth make this one a perfect tension builder for dancefloors.

On "Spare Matrix", Egotot and Franz Jager (who are no strangers to each other) team up again to present a track with elements from both artists. A rumbling low end, siren-like sounds and a constant uprising energy make this one an essential driving weapon. The deeper cut on the Various Artists, "Innapropiate content", is brought by Room founders Angioma and BLANKA, characterised by the pair's very own rolling rhythms and hypnotism that put an end to this superb 4-track compilation. Release Note
For Room Trax's 14th installment none other than Setoac Mass, VSK, Kaiser and Kwartz gather up to set the masses into motion. Functional but with a great understanding of aesthetics "Isotopic Signature" creates a propelling symbiosis of four thoroughly crafted, timeless gems dedicated to dark and sweaty dancefloors. Driving, impressive, and energetic it's keeping up tension from end to end and reflects the very core of modern techno while being a solid tribute to the origins of the scene.

Coming in deep and with heavy groove Setaoc Mass' "Contemporary Decline" quickly raises tension with exceptionally crafted percussion elements. As a unique tool for the long nights to come and paired with its distinctive atmosphere, it transports a sophisticated balance between modern bassline-driven techno and the typically clean and classic Setaoc Mass manner.

With "Luna" VSK once again proves his profound devotion to the darker realms of techno. Dark, impressive, and embedded in mesmerizing textures it catches the audience with its pounding pressure dissolving into a mind-bending tapestry of sound. Full of interesting details and driving rhythms it lets you dive into otherworldly soundscapes.

Reminiscent of the early days of techno the characteristic and bouncy vibe of "Asereth" paves the way for another bassline-driven ride for the listener - fast and energetic all the way through. One thing's for sure, once started Kaiser's latest opus just seems to be unstoppable carrying everyone along.

As an exquisite wrap-up for the EP "Red Flame" leads with a quirky and hypnotically sequenced melody seamlessly uniting with galloping drums and percussions to form a trippy peak-time weapon. Stylistically confident as always Kwartz once again delivers pure heat and a perfect complement to "Isotopic Signature". More
