Inkswel - Intergalactic B-Boy Anthem (feat. Kaidi Tatham)
Adelaide producer & DJ Inkswel introduces his new project 'The Snaglepuss' with 'Chasing Infinity,' a concept LP with a star-studded guest list that takes us on a stylistic journey from hiphop and g-funk to up tempo broken beat, boogie and house. With guests including Talib Kweli, Amp Fiddler, Steve Spacek and Kylie Auldist the album describes a cosmic quest for a new galactic home, searching for a better place and stopping on every dancefloor on the way. Inkswel (aka Jules Habib) has spent much of the last two decades in the Northern Hemisphere DJing every party and club from Rhythm Section in London to Output in New York and released music on BBE, Atjazz, Sonar Kollektiv, Tokyo Dawn and Motor City Wine. He's produced tracks for artists like Pugz Atoms & Georgia Anne Muldrow and remixed artists including Amp Fiddler and Dez Andrez. On the Snaglepuss material, he's taken a more collaborative approach and much of this record was co-created with bassist Stephen Lane, Sloth on horns, UK broken beat royalty Kaidi Tatham and Inkswel's wife and musical partner Erin Buku. Inkswel and the team's genre bending productions draw influence from P Funk, 80s Pop, Boogie Funk, Classic 90s Hip hop and Contemporary Soul stitching it all together into a seamless multicoloured package. The album kicks off with a nod to Inkswel's musical roots, golden era hiphop. 'Let It Grow' features the legendary Talib Kweli, supported by Erin Buku and Baba Israel. Next up, staying in the hiphop lane, is 'Everything' feat. Dudley Perkins, followed by the spacey stylings of 'Mystical Magic' featuring Lee "Scratch" Perry and Elf Tranzporter and 'Butterflies' featuring Steve Spacek. From there the album turns up the tempo and the heat with the bouncy rollerdisco jam 'New Day' featuring Melbourne legends Kylie Auldist and N'fa Jones and the title track which features UK Soul luminary Oliver Night on vocals. Amp Fiddler jumps on organ and vocal duties on 'How I Feel' and Kaidi Tatham steps up on keys for 'Cosmic Love Affair' featuring the princely vibe of Erik Rico and contributes again to the instrumental cut 'Intergalactic Bboy Anthem'. The album is rounded out by remixes from UK legend Mr Scruff, Detroit don DJ Dez Andrez and Adelaide's Funkwig.

Inkswel - Say Goodbye (Beyond June Remix)
Threading their way across house, hip-hop and downtempo electronic landscapes since 2019, French imprint Cosmocities re-emerge with their fourth studio iteration “Say Goodbye” by Aussie-born / Berlin based vibist Inkswel featuring Phat Kat and Jitwam, supported by a choice pair of reworks courtesy of Adelaide's Beyond June and Amsterdam’s Jacob Otten, alias Kid Sublime.
Presented in both vocal and instrumental form, Inkswel’s hydroponic new single “Say Goodbye” blends the finest of sun-baked hip-hop and hazy R&B into a fine-grained slice of ethereal Cali-funk, as masterly provided by Phat Kat’s raw, choppy verses and Jitwam’s velvet-like timbre. Weaving a silky-smooth narrative out of retro string samples, intricate drum-programming and vaporous envelopes, Inkswel’s newest is poetry in motion, making the most of the self-balancing, therapeutical power of music.
Up on remix duty we find OZ talent Beyond June, laying down a playfully oneiric revamp, halfway cosmic abstraction and down-to-earth urban character. Transcending both spheres with non-conformist dash, the track reaches for uncharted galactic recesses. For his part, Kid Sublime takes on the cut with more of a fevered boogie approach, pulling out the infectious Rhodes stabs and athletic bass moves to keep every dancer on their toes as the drum beats a steadily sensual tempo. Big news on the Apparel Tronic side. We’re here to celebrate another step forward of our newest label introducing the 7th release on the catalogue & 2nd on vinyl, by an artist we really admire and we’re delighted to have on board with us: Julian Habib aka Inkswel, on this project with his alias “That Dude Inkswel”. The man himself created an 8 tracks LP which truly represents our spirit of experimentation, this time round steering towards a more jazzy influenced hip-hop, shaped up staying true to the sound we love. “The Sound” LP features dope collaborations such as the Detroit vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Brownstudy singing on the opening and title track, the amazing progressive artist Maia Von Lekow giving her voice for B1 track “Mother” alongside Mista Monk, the superb Han Litz’s flute and Trujillo on Kellin’ it & also Divine Species on “Galaxies” and Mr. Shem rapping on A3 track “Dedicated to Mr. Schem”. This work is a bold and captivating selection of different styles belonging to the same soul orchestrated by Inkswel and his musical mastermind, listening to “The Sound” is like jumping on a caravan for a journey where every track is a different stop: crunching beats, deep bass lines, psychedelic melodies. The ingredients for this amazing recipe are all coming from different parts of the planet, a place that Inskwel seem to have written on his palms seen his capability of bringing different music influences under the same roof, where he finally invited Apparel Tronic to hang for a bit.
racks such as ‘Snooker Club’ and ‘Viejos’ delve into more caliginous, IDM territory. The result is a rich and varied collection that demonstrates Apparel Music’s unwavering ability to continue to keep listeners guessing. More

Hot on the heels of his brilliant 'Superfoods' trilogy of albums on BBE, Australian production powerhouse Inkswel returns with a brand new solo effort entitled 'Unity 4 Utopia'. Stellar collaborators Steve Spacek, Recloose, Crazy P, Lay-Far, Kid Sublime, Mark de Clive-Lowe & Colonel Red all make an appearance help to make Inkswel's quest for musical utopia a reality, and the album certainly does not disappoint. As the man himself puts it: "we need to work together if we want happiness and furthermore if we want positive change- this is mirrored in music, collaboration being key". Echoes of early hip hop, 80's boogie, disco and House can all clearly be heard, all woven together by Inkwel's uniquely soulful, futuristic yet vintage production style. Drawn together by an abundantly positive feeling, vocal performances and beats are all faultlessly smooth and highly polished, but somehow the album retains a real sense of fun. Already touring tirelessly, 'Unity 4 Utopia' could well be the project which elevates Mr Inkswel from an underground phenomenon into a household name.

Hot on the heels of his successful autumnal tour of Europe, the antipodean beatsmith and low-riding soul-brother, Inkswel, arrives on the eighth 12" from Burek Records. Considering Inkswel's been working with people like Merwyn from Virgo Four, Gifted & Blessed and Linkwood for the third release on his own Hot Shot Sounds imprint, we weren't surprised when he told us about the recent collaboration he'd had with Dave Aju. Naturally we were keen to get this out into the world, complementing it with great remixes and additional tracks from Inkswel. The A-side comprises three funkadelicious, shape-throwing, pop-locking slices featuring the talents of San Fran's Dave Aju, Melbourne's Cazeaux O.S.L.O, Christchurch's Isaac Aesili and Adelaide's Charli James. They wear their shared love for hiphop on their sleeves, replicating old school sampling techniques and twinning them with a feel for modernity. The open kicks and sax thrills that begin 'No More Suckas' cement syrupy pads and swirling keys as Dave Aju rhymes about that classic conundrum, being given the chance for a night of intimate relations. Rotascoping blips and pads combined with fat bass work underpin the conscious spoken word poetry of 'Mind Yours', and 'Saturated' closes the side with razor-sharp claps, wonky chords and 808 cowbells laying the foundation for vocal call and responses. In classic turntablist style the bonus beat track 'Oishi Stylus' is also included, evoking the Pacific Rim's interconnectivity with its Nipponese flavours cut over solid beats. This ain't hip-house, it's hiphop-house. On the B-side our trio of heavyweight remixers let rip, each in their characteristic inimitable styles. NYC's DJ Nature edits and extends No More Suckas, playing with the vocals and adding strong drum patterns with a lilting flute melody to turn in a true hypnotic deep house chugger. Berlin's Iron Curtis uses the pads and spoken word component of the original to prelude a darkly evocative late-night slice of enticement, with heavy off-kilter kicks, haunting bells and floating chords drawing the listener deeper and deeper. London's breakbeat legend IG Culture uses the same spoken word parts as Iron but recombines them into new patterns as he lays down massive echoing big-room bass and jukey snares to fashion the original into a tour-de-force of footwork. Inkswel proves that hiphop is the sibling of house music, and this EP helps join the dots between those two forms of music whilst taking it to future forms.

Abel feat Brutha Basil - South Beach Recycling Remix
A slick techy dance-floor banger featuring the sultry tones of US Vocalist ‘Brutha Basil’.
Hand Made has been a go-to number from Abel’s well-received ‘Cosmic Law’ album. Taking a deeper and much more techy approach to sound design, Abel and Atjazz enlisted the brilliant ‘Brutha Basil’ to lay down some truth about ‘doing this music thing for the right reasons’. With some incredible remixes from Peacey who swipes things up to a new energy level, Rocco Rodamaal whose punchy re-work takes us way back to NYC’s early days of house music, and South Beach Recycling’s Chicago and Detroit-inspired late-night groover. This is one of those releases that will stay on target for a long time, no doubt! More

Peacey - Yoruba Soul Mix
It might be his debut album, yet Peacey’s “Play It By Ear” is a body of work crafted as though by a scholar. And where better for this work to emerge from than Derby, UK’s Atjazz Record Company, a label with a rich heritage and many strings to its bow?
This eclectic sonic journal catalogues the evolution of Peacey, documenting his interactions with, and influences from, some of dance music’s notable players. It’s an album that will attract discerning ears and open minds; minds attuned to a multitude of genres as it visits Hip Hop, R&B, House, Garage and Fusion.
'Culture Bandit' is the 2nd single taken from this colossal album, and gives us a great understanding that Peacey really knows where to hit it! It’s a deep banger of course, with a hint of tech-house, deep-house and even the more percussive side of afro-latin house, but with the electrifying vocals of Vanessa Hidary atop, this will go down in history as “One of those tunes”. To say this song has life is an understatement. So we’ve covered that, did we mention that Osunlade & Atjazz have also remixed this killer slice? Ah, well they have, and they join Peacey on this pristine release to give alternative angles on this wild, spoken and edgy outing. More

Fred Everything isn’t a name one tends to throw around willy-nilly. Fred’s contributions to the world of dance music can’t be measured and his ability to continually roll out quality music is unmatched in his field. A dear label brother to us here at ARCo. We’re always overjoyed to have the rare opportunity to release his solo creations to the world.
'Alone (Together)' is electronic but rather organic and reflects the origins of Fred’s work. Sounding super-classic Fred weaves his arrangements in and out and throws drop after drop into the mix. 'Phoenix' is a little flipped in style, although still retaining the classic sound Fred has become known for, the beautiful cascading chord sequence takes you away and makes for a gorgeous listening experience.
Things just got real, po-lar-i-ty stepped in for remix detail! Yes, Osunlade & Burlie Mac in their newly found togetherness have flipped the script completely here, as they inject even more class to this already gleaming release. Their version bounces freely around a vocal loop, glissando harp flourishes, and swept lush chords.

Yes, Osunlade & Burlie Mac in their newly found togetherness have flipped the script completely here, as they inject even more class to this already gleaming release. Their version bounces freely around a vocal loop, glissando harp flourishes, and swept lush chords.
Really classy deep-house gear to get your ears around More

Jullian Gomes returns with the second single from his 'Slow Poison' album and this time he brings in the heavy weights of house!
‘Stay’ which features the incredible voice of ZAKI IBRAHIM is a smooth cut but don't let that fool you as this also works perfectly mid set. Usual bumpy grooves & lush backing delivers the original Jullian's unique touch.
Remix team... OSUNLADE / FRED EVERYTHING / DJ SPINNA. Yep, all three of them on one slice of plastic makes for a 12" you can keep in your box for all occasions. Top drawer work from all three remixers as you would expect.

Soul-infused broken beat from Clyde via Atjazz Record Company that captures the spark of the early Bruk scene and gives it a magnetising new interpretation. Vibing keys that dance around plucked bass notes, impassioned, expressive vocals that worm their way through your brain and down into your body, ‘Roll Of The Beast’ lights up a collective spirit that is sure to make this a future classic.
Atjazz takes to the Rhodes for his remix, laying down an infectious melody mirrored by the bass that’s put on top of a fresh set of drums. Combined it gives a distinct edge to the track, keeping all the energy of the original but reworking it through the eyes and ears of label head, Atjazz. An instrumental version of his remix that lets the music do the talking rounds off the release.
Vinyl only – be quick!

Following up the release of Atjazz & Jullian Gomes’ warmly received album ‘Big Bad Crazy’, the guys brought in House Music’s remix hero ‘Karizma’ to re-imagine one of the favoured album cuts ‘Love Me’.
Under his ‘Kaytronik’ moniker, Baltimore’s beat-master loads up a rather subby floor workout with his iconic signature production style. As the first kick drops, it's unmistakably Kaytronik at the controls as he dubs out this intricate number to create something of wonder, producing a large & well polished USA sonic with incredible edge & bite.
This limited 12” contains 2 massive versions and should not be missed. More

Repress!
Following on 5 years after their exceptional debut collaboration “The Gift The Curse”, Atjazz & Jullian Gomes hit a home run with this incredible collection of audio artwork.
Their new album “Big Bad Crazy” points out the broken state of our world, and on the flipside the ongoing struggle to make it through the pain. A truly inspirational & original work from these well respected creative’s.
Part two of this two-part album sampler kicks off with ‘Decoded’ layering a dynamic and deep synth melody with echoing arps and blissed out guitar samples. ‘Don Esquire’ follows up twisting and turning vocal refrains amongst an emotionally charged concoction of synth stabs and cosmic bleeps.
On the flip side, ‘Love Me’ delves into more techno territory, resonating and reverberating elements round the depths of the mind, to induce a hypnotic state of awe. The final track ‘Empty Paradise’ evokes distant memories from the past, combining dusty drum samples, hazy piano melodies and those dreamlike vocals that echo off into the ether.
Here’s to hoping that it’s not another 5 years before Atjazz & Jullian Gomes choose to collaborate once more.

Atjazz Record Company is pleased to welcome back prolific artist and dapper gent Fred Everything. From Canada to the UK, this skillful and ever-present producer brings over 20 years of talent and experience to bear on this exciting new release. We delve into the offering firstly with the titular track: O. A soft and muted start slowly builds up into a fizzy melodic vibe that is undercut with a tasty bass riff. As the track drives on, the harmonies continue to build until they crescendo with a dreamy high-end hook juxtaposed with stippled sour characters. Then Mr ARCo. himself, Atjazz, enters the fray with the Galaxy Aart Remix. Staccato rhythms and active bass notes combine with engaging pops of synth to further illustrate Atjazz's mastering of his craft. We follow this with Her, a meaty beats and bass orgy that effortlessly builds into a shimmering and crystalline cut. This track perfectly showcases Fred's commitment to quality legitimate music and you will not be disappointed! We conclude with the shorter and sharper Devil In The Dub remix where only the lightest of tweaks and touches is applied, but this brings a fresh and compelling sound to an already impressive track.
