Dan Shake - Bert’s Groove
2
Dan Shake - Daisy’s Dance
Denis Sulta’s Silver Service imprint - an offshoot of Sulta Selects - present SSSS-3, a two-track collaborative package from the inimitable Hammer and Atlus, Denis’ own darker alias.
Taking reign over the A-side, Belfast export Hammer brandishes a weighty dose of low-slung, swollen bass and disorienting vocal stabs on ‘Dance Since’. Using a palette of cathartic 90s house vocals he morphs their energy into something far more twisted.
For the B-side, Atlus forges an equally hefty fusion of raw percussion and swirling vocals, spun round by a dizzying acid bass lead.
Wasting no time in heading straight to the dancefloor, SSSS3 sees two esteemed characters doing what they do best.

Dan Shake - Bounce (The Other Mix)
Dan Shake makes a solid return to his Shake Records imprint with three tunes ready to make an impact. ‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ are tinged with records from Dance Mania, hip house and acid house legend Tyree Cooper, and a cheeky trance mix Dan made with Yomanda ‘Synth and Strings’ in mind, one of the last track he played out to a crowd. ‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ are the reflection of an artist still feeling the vibe from his last gigs, which saw Dan make a debut at Printworks, and coin one of the last live Mixmag labs before the world went into lockdown. Dan explains - “I made these tracks in April 2020, immediately after the sudden cutoff of nightlife. My last weekend of gigs was incredible and left me with a big room, high energy mentality. I’d been listening to and playing out a lot of ghetto house and Dance Mania style records which no doubt pushed these tracks in that direction. Faster, harder and heavier than the majority of the music, ‘Paper’ and ‘Bounce’ gave me a hit of a sound I was craving and had just been immersed in. Directly inspired by an urge to be back on a dance floor, the thought of playing them out feels slightly surreal, but something that gives me tingles thinking about too.” Did Dan know he’d sit on this music for over a year before releasing it or playing it out? Perhaps not. However, timing is key and clubs and festivals within reach, he’s waited patiently for a time he knows they’ll hit the sweet spot we’ve all been missing.

Dan Shake - Hide & Seek
Dan’s latest outing offers three driving, thoughtful Detroit house influenced club tracks: from the synth-heavy adrenaline rush of title track Mosquito, to the jacking, motoric resolve of The Deep End, and Hide Seek’s kinetic, sample-driven house groove. Since debuting on Moodymann’s Mahogani Music in 2014 with 3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin About U, Dan made it into a springboard for his ambitions to work crowds the world over. His love of groove – ranging from sparky acid to Brazilian samba, itchy funk to heavyweight house – fuels his drive to make those around him dance as keenly as he does. At a party, Dan Shake isn’t just loaded with peak time weapons: he is one. A. Mosquito, B1. The Deep End, B2. Hide & Seek

David Jackson - 2020 Eurotrance Track
2
David Jackson - I Wanna Dance With Daisy
David Jackson brings some fresh house sounds to a new EP on Denis Sulta's Sulta Selects Silver Service label. The Half-Irish, German-born young prodigy, Jackson broke through on the scene with his massive track “Broken Heart” back in 2020, and has often been championed by the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Gerd Janson, & DJ Seinfeld, to name a few, and this EP is two tracks that would light up any dancefloor.
He kicks off with 2020 Eurotrance Track, a big tune with hands-in-the-air chords and chunky drums. It's peak time festival tackle that will unite crowds of any size, in a classy but good time vibe without a care in the world. I Wanna Dance With Daisy is littered with old school video game samples and a wonky bassline. The beats are metallic and edgy, the vocals cut up and the whole thing is sure to boggle brains on the dance floor.
This is a high impact EP ready to make its mark this summer and beyond. More

Gimbrère - No Title
Next up on Denis Sulta’s expertly selected vinyl label is a 3 track EP from 24 year-old Amsterdam DJ and producer Gimbrère.
Gimbrère’s love of dance music was sparked when he met 90s Dutch DJ legend Dimitri and caught his set at long-running Amsterdam techno festival Awakening at their 15th anniversary party in 2012. He shifted his focus from solely DJing to production of electronic (house)music from that point.
His debut single “A Thing” was released in 2018 and started to make waves with support from big names DJs, notably Denis and hitting top 5 on the Indie Dance and Nu Disco charts on Beatport.
His new 3 tracker presents 3 slices of epic 90s indebted dance goodness. “Breakbeat Passage” builds out an emotional, propulsive number from its booming break loop. The expert drum-programming and sample of “Makossa” has a pleasing French touch afro-house feel. Meanwhile the hi-energy filter house of “On My Mind” which recalls his debut “A Thing” is a guaranteed roof raiser. More

Liam Doc - Dorothy
Liam Doc AKA Liam Docherty is next up on Denis Sulta’s Sulta Selects Silver Service label.
Liam grew up in London before moving back to the family hometown of Glasgow at 14. Growing up, his schooling in house and techno was on the floor of the Sub Club’s legendary Saturday night session with residents Harri & Domenic.
After he started producing house and techno, his edit “Voices of East Harlem” caught Sulta’s attention, who championed it in his sets to awesome effect. Liam is the resident at Wednesday house and techno night RARE at Sub Club. He also started his own quarterly warehouse parties in Glasgow, called Cyberfreq. After hours illegal raves at first, after a run in with a Scottish tabloid they went legit and started programming them at Glasgow’s The Berkeley Suite club. In addition to releasing on SSSS, he’s founded his own label Eyeangle Records (releases from Kamus and Lobec) as well as sub-label Roux Records and released on Huntley & Palmers.
‘East Coast Edits’ (coming on 12” and digital) is a collection of ecstatic dance floor filtered edits, sure to give the floor at the Sub Club and beyond a workout. More

Denis Sulta has announced new offshoot to his Sulta Selects imprint, ‘Silver Service’.
The debut release comes from Cromby - an Irish born, Berlin based producer on the up. Following a thumping set at Belfast’s beloved AVA Festival, his new EP will be released on 21st September and features three peak-time club weapons, inspired by the sounds of classic Chicago House. The lead Futurola is a hard-hitting, jacking house track that packs a fierce bassline and emotive punch, whilst B1, Barneymania is a Chicago-tinged acid roller that layers melodic chords, the EP ends with the dark and sci-fi-tinged electro of Fandango.
The new label follows on from Denis Sulta’s Selects imprint – home to three volumes of his own essential 12” series More

Dark Entries is honored to finally present the first ever official vinyl reissue of Space Museum by Solid Space. Solid Space was the British duo of Dan Goldstein (keyboards, vocals) and Matthew 'Maf' Vosburgh (guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals) formed in 1980. Dan and Matthew met at the age of 11 while attending school in north London. In late 1978 at at the age of 14, they formed Exhibit 'A' with Paul “Platypus” and Andrew “Lunchbox” Bynghall. They recorded two EPs in 1979 and 1980, self-released on Irrelevant Wombat Records and appeared on 'The Thing From The Crypt' compilation. After the dissolution of the group, Mathew started taking his guitar over to Dan’s house where he’d play his Casio MT-30 and they would record songs. Eventually a second hand drum machine and Wasp synthesizer were acquired from classified ads in Melody Maker and the Solid Space sound was born. By this time they were just turning 18 and finally found the freedom to make the music they’d had in their heads. Over the course of the next two years the band assembled eleven bedroom recordings that would become one of the most cherished DIY obscurities of its kind. Their debut album ‘Space Museum’ was released in 1982 on cassette by In Phaze Records. All of the songs were mixed by label boss Pat Bermingham on 8-track tape at The Shed, in Ilford, which was literally a garden shed. The band's music and lyrics were heavily indebted to science fiction, in particular the 1960s television series Doctor Who. ‘Space Museum’ is an unveiling of atmospheric, minimalist post punk supported by bright melodies. The music combines drum machines and synths with acoustic guitar and toy drums whilst also experimenting with samples between tracks. Lyrics deal with space travel and a general sense of dejection. Representing a bubbling spirit within the underground, they foreshadowed an entire world of independent music which would emerge across the 80’s and well into the 90’s. For this reissue we’ve included two bonus tracks from the band’s archive,
“Platform 6” originally released on the B-side of the second single by Exhibit ‘A’, this song features only Dan and Matthew and is the first Solid Space track ever recorded. “Tutti Lo Sanno” is a cover of In Phaze label mates Marine Girls, though the lyrics have been changed to suit the gender of the new singer. Each song has been carefully remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The record is sleeved in a replica of the cassette artwork featuring the Cybermen and Jamie from the Doctor Who episode "The Wheel in Space". Every copy includes a double sided 11x11 insert with lyrics, notes and never before seen photographs of the band taken by Maf as well as a postcard featuring an original advert for the cassette.

Repress!
Louie Vega remixes the seminal Sam Records Disco hit “Bourgie’, Bourgie’” by John Davis & The Monster Orchestra.
12” vinyl release on Nurvous Records on Sept 9, 2016
House Music legend Louie Vega continues to light fire to select tracks from the Sam Records 1970’s Disco Catalogue. He previously remixed Vicky D’s “This Beat Is Mine” and Convertion’s “Let’s Do It.” Now he has added his unique and legendary production skills to a remix of the Ashford & Simpon penned “Bourgie’, Bourgie’” by John Davis & The Monster Orchestra.
Originally released on Sam Records in 1979, “Bourgie’, Bourgie’” also features background vocals by Ashford & Simpson.
Louie Vega continues to be one of the most dynamic and respected dance music producers in the world. With a body of work that combines his timeless and trend-settings production with Kenny Dope as Masters At Work, and his own distinctive and equally impactful Louie Vega productions, he has always had a great knowledge and respect for the R&B and Disco music that laid the foundation of the current soundtrack of nightlife. The Sam Records catalogue is owned and administered by Nervous Records, with which Louie has a long history, dating to his creation with Kenny Dope of the label’s signature tune, The Nervous Track by Nuyorican Soul. The distinctive string sections of “Bourgie’, Bourgie’” along with the Ashford & Simpson lyrics caught Louie’s ear, and he has created a remix that has been destroying dancefloors and festival summer. Sales Note
Italian artist Raffaele Attanasio kicks off the New Year for Mutual Rytm with his superb 'South Signatures' EP, channelling multiple techno styles into one potent package.
Landing as Raffaele Attanasio's second outing on SHDW's Mutual Rytm label, following his incredible debut 'Quasar' and recent appearance on the third instalment of the label's Federation Of Rytm compilation, the EP is a showcase of an exciting artist with a new school take on techno while bringing real respect for the roots of his sound. He has played live on stage with the legendary Jeff Mills, and is involved in several other musical projects in different genres but reserves his finest techno for his own name.
'Madrigal' opens the EP, with Attanasio crafting an apocalyptic anthem composed of one sound, the Nord Wave 2 synthesizer and a pumping groove. It is pure dance floor heat with unrelenting drums that lock in the crowd. The brilliant 'Heat' then brings tribalism, with a powerful rolling groove peppered with chord stabs that bring it to life. 'Aogiri Tree' features rousing drums that emerge from the undergrowth and accompany the macabre lead synth. Its mischievous notes hint at hidden danger and keep you on your toes.
Keeping the energy high, 'Stratford Fog' delivers a battle between drums and the constantly pulsing bass. Edgy chord stabs and raw percussion make for a breathtaking groove that never lets up and keeps you utterly engaged. The title track is a laser-focused production that harks back to the golden age of Neapolitan techno with a perfectly designed groove, before digital bonus 'Eleven' brings hints of stylish Detroit techno with its lush chords and arpeggiated saw bassline, creating a continuous flow right to the last beat.
Raffaele Attanasio 'South Signatures' drops via Mutual Rytm on 1st March 2024.
SHDW's vision at Mutual Rytm was always to present a cohesive yet varied musical experience, and Federation Of Rytm III does exactly that.
