Kim Ann Foxman’s NYC label is back with two sizzling originals and two scorching on-point remixes.
‘Connection’ bumps with rave echoes and warehouse memories. Cavernous in its scope and emotional pull, the heady waves of nostalgia and unabashed futurism whip and wallop as Kim’s ethereal cries counter the analogue grit. It’s complemented by precision remix twist from Klasse act Luca Lozano who breaks up the drums and adds a little Tesor-like touches to the synths to create another timeless perspective.
Deeper again we hit ‘Magic Magic’, Bathed in dark bass bubbles, shimming chimes and dubby reflections. It’s 3am, you’re completely immersed and you never want it to stop. Luckily it doesn’t have to as Matisa hurls us deep into a version excursion that conjures memories of the classic Age Of Love.

Kim Ann Foxman’s Firehouse imprint storms into 2018 with an extra special re-release of the 1994 rave classic Scott Richmond and John Selway aka Psychedlic Research Lab, Keep On Climbin’ .The package features both original mixes alongside two outstanding remixes from Deetron and Kim Ann Foxman. Mix 1 and Mix 2 sound as glorious now as they did when they were released. Mix 1, a bold, breakbeat construct, chopped vocal and emerging acid lines. Mix 2 places four to the floor. It’s deeper with added percussion, soft chord stabs and an almighty breakdown to the drop. Deetron makes his debut on Firehouse with a tough, grinding version, underpinned by his signature, gnarling bassline sound. Kim Ann Foxman incorporates acid lines to her revision. After dropping his “Can’t Remember”/”Talking To You” EP, his debut solo release for DFA, last summer, Austrian musician and producer Wolfram Eckert returns with a stellar four-tracker for Kim Ann Foxman's Firehouse imprint. The first signing to Kim Ann Foxman’s trailblazing Firehouse imprint is a dancefloor-shredding hi-energy house track that’s been going down a storm at clubs from Ibiza to San Francisco this summer, created by Sankey’s resident DJ Josef K and producer Winter Son aka Thomas Ragsdale featuring singer Flora Cruz. Says Kim Ann Foxman: “Tribal Rhythm is fire! It's a fresh new track with a classic feel done right. It's got lots of energy, a sassy vox; it’s super catchy and a dance floor bomb! I’ve been playing it out non-stop, and it always creates a huge reaction on the dance floor. Hands go up in the air - the crowd goes wild. It’s a winner!” Says Josef K + Winter Son: “We really to make something hypnotic and starting making the piano swirl around, locking it in with the percussion. It was all done in pretty much one take and we just went with the track's momentum. Originally released on Andy Butler’s Mr International, Foxman’s liquid gold vocals on ‘?Creature’ w?ere her first endeavour since their time together in Hercules & Love Affair and a beautiful example of her adept technique to craft unique, synth­inspired dance music.
