As a Frankfurt native, Oskar Offermann has of course been a longtime friend of the Robert Johnson club, first as a regular guest and later as a regular DJ. After spending 15 years in exile (Berlin, where else?) and putting out music on his own (White and Rimini) as well as befriended labels (Mule Musiq, Aim and Hardworksoftdrink), the long-lost son has finally come back home (Offenbach, where else?) and will debut on Live At Robert Johnson with three tracks that bring together Oskar's melodic approach and the bleepy sound of Frankfurt's new school. Ok, first of all I want to reveal a myth: These infotexts are mostly written
by the labelowners themselves, not by hard-working editors. So
what happens, when the guy behind a label releases his own
music? Well, either he is a well-organised deadline-machine and
he asks somebody capable of doing this stupid job, or he realizes:
"Oh fuck the distribution what's to do their work and they needed this
sheet weeks ago..." So in the end, he's gotta do it himself: Of course,
now I could tell you how great this record is (what it is!) and what a
hell of a motherfucker I am (also true!)... but I prefer telling you
sentimental other bullshit instead... :) This EP marks a new
beginning in my career. Since some time now, "The Fog Burns Off"
and we get more and more stable in the buisness. Last year we
were on the road quite a bit and we found many new friends. People
from other cities, who believe in the same things, who do similar
stuff and who are of the same kidney as we are. So that makes me
very happy, which reflects in the music. For the first time I feel like
coming home, although we are at the beginning of our journey into

2019 is mule musiq’s 15 years anniversary. we’re going to release twelve 12inchs with our friend artists and stefan marx make the collectable artwork. 10th release is our long time friend hippie dance’s superpitcher aka pachanga boys. “maki” on a side is a tribute song for legendary japanese folk singer maki asakawa, superpitcher wrote the lyrics and dip in the pool’s miyako koda translated in japanese and did the reading. “mishima” on b side is a trademark of superpitcher’s melancholic house tune. it sounds like updated percussive nyc house in early 90’s. it was in february 2015 when japanese producer and sound designer kuniyuki takahashi, sometimes known as koss, releases with the ep “newwave project ‘2” a record, that tapped some roots of his mu-sical education: new wave, german electro punk from bands like a daf, ebm from acts like front 242 as well as industrial music. styles, about kuniyuki claims that they are his “favourite music”. now, nearly two years after his first newwave project ep, he drops an album that is leaning towards his musical love from the past. com-pared to his former work, that was rooted in worlds of classic, jazz, house, ambient, and electronic song-writing, his new tunes are full of melodic drifts and rhythmical shifts. as usual all is loaded with tones and rhythms straight from the heart that filter and modulate human emotions without losing their natural source. to get a sound that is fresh but still leaning to the 1980ees, he used some old synthesisers like a roland jupiter 8, a juno 60, a korg ms 20, an old tape echo machine but also new instruments like the roland aira. furthermore, his modular synthesizers talk too.
