and purity the latest edition of our series offers you a great selection of freaking crazy and kicking techno tunes.
Our last compilations followed the basic concept of good club nights with an introduction part, the peak time and some cool downs and even after hour sounds. In contrast to this we open the clubdoor with P right from the start, no time for easy chit chat and soft entries - we want to move our feet and heads right from the beginning and here we are: Mirko Loko is in control for the beginning. His track
"Artificiel" is energetic, crazy and minimalistic at the same time. With destroyed digital sound fragments, yet consistently demanding, Mirko Loko opens the door and welcomes you to the club of P!
Wouter de Moor follows with his "Tesla Coil" - a speedy acid tune that has only one message: Freak out! With the pace, the simple structure and those crazy hihats „Tesla Coil" sounds almost like an old
steam locomotive. The sounds hiss and the beat rolls and the clubtrain won’t stop!
Einzelkind & Robin Scholz present their "Rhythm Factory" project next and their mutual work "n.2guts“. Another kickin’ acid-tune, full of power with a energy loaded forward boost. Slightly slower than Wouter de Moor but certainly with a similar vibe the two tunes act as a perfect double-pack!
Coming up next is Redshape, one of the hottest techno-acts of the past two years. He also follows the red acid-tip of the previous tracks. Redshape adds a bit of a Detroit- and Dopplereffekt vibe to his acid shot and looks clearly at the peak time with this! Swedish La Fleur is another act that made quite some waves in 2016. She contributes her track "Chemicality" to our selection which is nothing less than
another great techno anthem! She adds epic synths but manages to create a powerful techno composition here that won’t slow down at all.
„Porridge" by Alex Smoke comes in sixth place in our selection. Mister Smoke is doing the shuffle here and creates massive musical tension by using cool but insane sounds. This is high voltage and a sure
shot for this years festival and open air season.
"The Whip" by Alex Bau at position seven is big time chicago-techno with a strong DJ Sneak / Blu Funk feeling. Hypnotic, oppressive and with no frills. Alex Bau takes some risks with „The Whip" and won’t be everybodys darling with this piece but dropped at the right time in the right club this one will take you to dancefloor heaven and it will be one of the highlights of the night!
Speaking of highlights of the night: Please welcome techno champion Dustin Zahn to our club! His "Sun Breaker" is powerful, strong and masculine. The initial hypnotic loop aesthetics progresses fairly
quickly in a massive production full of powerful synths and freaked out sounds. This is great and techno at its best!
Coming up next is "Rising Lines" by our Cocoon Recordings artist Ilario Alicante. The Berlinitalian delivers another of his strong deep techno monsters and follows the course set by Dustin Zahn: Big
string sounds and twisted harmonies makes "Rising Lines" an epic techno cinema highlight!
And we won’t stop or slow down here yet, we even shift one gear up by throwing Josh Winks
"Bouyantly Grounded" into the our selection. A fat fish for sure by one of longest companions with whom we share so many memories and great parties! Big techno festivals, Ibiza, Cocoon Club
Frankfurt, the list of our common experiences is infinite. The Ovum mastermind has been one of our Cocoon Booking fix points for many years now and he presents an absolute highlight with his tune!
Gloomy and yet full of positive energy "Bouyantly Grounded" pushes the speakers in a powerful manner and will turn each festival and each open air (again) into another unforgettable event.
"You Fill Me" by Shooting Start Jacob Korn follows Josh Wink and adds a bucket of nice musical emotions. We slowly move to the end of our selection and Korn delivers the perfect tune to make the final transition. The shootingstar designs an amazing creation full of gentle harmonies and profound melodies - his contribution deserves to be labeled as "techno music". Any sunrise and any afterhour will be better with "You Fill Me" - this is electronic beach life brought to your speakers. Jacob Korn

Debut album by Livio & Roby featuring Martin Buttrich, Guti, tINI, Hector, Andrea Oliva, Julian Perez, Cezar Merveille, Enzo Siragusa, Ryan Crosson and Premiesku.

Music is an art, a journey, a personal exploration. It doesn’t start when we press play, nor does it stops when we press pause. However, with music being thrust upon us daily, it is near impossible to escape the preconceived notions of how we listen and discover it. We nd an artist we like and we convince ourselves we love their art – we forget to interrogate the melodies, to understand the harmonies, to feel the rhythm and connect with its soul. We learned to forget the value of it, we simply go by what we predict from the musician rather than what we actually hear and feel in the sound.
Cue Romanian duo Livio & Roby. Their conceptual album project ‘Phantom Circle’ challenges us to defy the constraints of these preconceived notions. They invite us to focus on one thing and one thing only - the music.
The audience is invited to listen to 11 original tracks, each of them co-produced with an anonymous collaborator from their “circle” of friends. And there certainly are some impressive names involved: tINI,EnzoSiragusa,MartinButtrich,Guti,JulianPerez,Hector,RyanCrosson,CesarMerveille,Andrea Oliva & Premiesku. The classic Livio & Roby nuances will prevail, of course, but there will be no clear evidence about the “phantom” collaborator behind each track, apart from the music itself. By keeping the mystery on the identity of each co-producer, the duo is challenging their listeners to bypass the involuntary pre-conception and focus on the essential: listen and feel.
Livio & Roby’s emotive and mind-moving grooves have put them not only at the top of their homeland’s list of nest producers but also at the forefront of the global electronic scene. The experience developed by the collaborators in this album only echoes the magnitude of Livio & Roby’s talent, which boils down to their stamp of ambition and courage, consolidated in this project. Above all, this album accentuates their clear intention to enjoy music for itself and nothing else.

Munich based pair Jorkes are something of an enigma, having appeared on the scene recently with a fully formed sound and a desire to let their music do the speaking for them. Musically the duo seem to be operating with few boundaries, looking to express their emotional states through their music with scant consideration for styles or genres. This latest release sees Jorkes team up with fellow Munich resident and vocalist Karol Schmejchel to deliver a slice of evocative, slo-mo nu-disco.
The release kicks of with the original mix of 'Thank You', marrying chugging drums and warm bass with stirring pads and the emotionally charged vocals of Schmejchel. It's a perfect track for dark backrooms and home lounging alike.
The remix comes from Manchester trio Me?nage a? Trois who deliver a sonical beautiful reworking built around heartwrenching keys and heavily reverbed guitar parts. Simple understated drums carrying the record along as their vocal treatment soars towards the heavens, this is sublime stuff. The vinyl release will also feature an exclusive instrumental of the Me?nage a? Trois mix for those who like things a little more stripped back.
In keeping with Jorkes' creative outlook, and following on from their previous release, there will be an exclusive music video of 'Thank You' forthcoming which is likely to set pulses racing once again!

Egbert has been dazzling us with the speed at which he seems to have skyrocketed to being one of the world's top players in the techno scene. Within a short period of time he has managed to create a rapidly growing fan base who have all been avidly waiting for him to release an album for some time now. Come end of October, Egbert will finally be releasing 'Warm' on Secret Cinema's Gem Records! His story has been an exciting rollercoaster ride going from being discovered by Secret Cinema through Myspace, to being picked up by Cocoon and their booking agency and now touring the globe as a part of the Gem and Bonheur agency roster. September 20th, Egbert will be playing a sold out, astonishing 6 hour solo live set in Melkweg Amsterdam to kick off his album promotion tour. The album takes you on a trip through Egbert's vision of melodic techno. Well produced and euphoric but without stepping in to known territory. In his own words: 'One thing I often miss at techno parties is warmth. I would like to bring that back to techno'. While his live sets are usually filled with percussion and rhythm, this album compiles the tracks that bring warmth to his set. We also get a taste of Egbert's raw side with the powerful pumping grooves and punishing dark basslines on 'Tegno' and 'Shulgin'. There's even a new flavour added to the versatile producer's palate with the trippy ambient sounds of 'Ondergronds' and 'Trip'.

Manuel Göttsching´s seminal epic movie music like concept "Die Mulde".

The title track 'Die Mulde' (40 min) was used as a 4-part suite for an impressive art event in the beautiful scenery of the river Mulde, near the historical place Höfgen close by Leipzig. Göttsching delivered its picturesque electronic sounds to an installation of 34 mirrors.
The bonus track ' HP Little Cry' is based on a theme from 1981. In 2004, Goettsching added a guitar melody and devoted the piece to a Norwegian fan, which gave the track its title.

Das Titelstück 'Die Mulde' (40 Min.) wurde als eine 4-teilige Suite für ein imposantes Kunst-Event in freier Natur komponiert, wo Manuel Göttsching am 6.9.1997 in der wunderschönen Flusslandschaft der Mulde, nah der Denkmalschmiede Höfgen bei Leipzig, zu einer Installation von 34 Spiegeln seine malerischen elektronischen Klänge lieferte.
Der Bonus-Track 'HP Little Cry' basiert auf einem Thema aus dem Jahre 1981, das Göttsching 2004 um eine Gitarrenmelodie ergänzte und einem Fan in Norwegen widmete, der den Titel gab.

Manuel Göttsching Live in a terrific Japanese setting: Mount Fuji. Concert from 2006. Includes high class Sound Recording and highly sought after tracks like "Shuttlecock" and many more. Manuel Göttsching may not have released as many albums in recent decades as he did earlier in his career but when he does release something new, it's always something special. Manuel's latest release was recorded live in April 2006 during an excellent solo concert near Japan's Mount Fuji. Manuel performed the entire concert alone accompanied by stunning visuals by a polish graphic artist and he also dug into his back catalog coming up with new arrangements of classic material.
The album opens with "Sunrain" which was originally from the 1976 classic "New Age of Earth". The familiar hypnotic sequencer pattern is already in place however on this new version, Manuel takes it in a slightly different direction and extends the piece to nearly 15-minutes."Saint and Sinner" is a more recent piece, which was originally heard on the 2005 release "Concert for Murnau". This laid back piece is taken a step up from its studio counterpart as Manuel adds a bluesy Clapton-esque guitar lead that wasn't there before."Trunky Groove" is a brand new piece composed for this concert and is a showcase for the psychedelic music style that was the norm for Manuel back in his very early days in Ash Ra Tempel. A techno-style rhythm is accompanied by a long drone and intense orchestrations before giving way to an effects-drenched guitar solo. "Die Mulde" is a 20-minute excerpt from Manuel's long-form 1997 piece of the same name. It begins with the "Die Spiegel" section of the piece and shifts into the closing "Zerfluss" movement. As with "Saint and Sinner", Manuel adds a guitar lead which wasn't in the original version. Finally, to close the album, we have yet another arrangement of the classic "Shuttlecock" which originally is from the 1977 masterwork "Blackouts". The arrangement is similar to the 1976 live version that appeared on the 1996 CD set "The Private Tapes" but definitely has a modern twist. Manuel's guitar playing is up front and center here and is stellar - almost like taking a trip back to the mid 70´s."Live at Mt.Fuji" is yet another great CD

Remastered by Manuel Göttsching and released on his own label MG ART. Inventions for Electric Guitar is Manuel Göttsching´s first solo album, recorded: July-August 1974.
The album was written and performed entirely by Göttsching on electric guitar, hence the title. Manuel played his guitar and used a 4 track TEAC A3340, Revox A77 for echoes, WahWah pedal, volume pedal, Schaller Rotosound and Hawaiian steel bar.

The last words, however, are left to MG himself, with "Shuttlecock", a final eighteen minute excursion, which has Manuel improvise over a soft carpet of delayed bell sounds, before the guitar fades away and the track deepens and thickens, like a dark river sweeping along ever more motives and harmonies. A perfectly balanced collaboration released on both CD and LP.

Remastered by Manuel Göttsching and released on his own label MG ART. Inventions for Electric Guitar is Manuel Göttsching´s first solo album, recorded: July-August 1974.
The album was written and performed entirely by Göttsching on electric guitar, hence the title. Manuel played his guitar and used a 4 track TEAC A3340, Revox A77 for echoes, WahWah pedal, volume pedal, Schaller Rotosound and Hawaiian steel bar.

The original Ice Fractions 1 EP arrived on Plus 8 Records when Richie Hawtin & John Aquqaviva's legendary label was at the height of its powers, and showcased a tougher edge to Pooley's productions. The Analog Roland Orchestra is Michal Matlak, the Berliner whose intimate knowledge of dance music's most iconic machines has made him a much-in-demand producer and remixer. Teaming up with party starters youANDme as well as vocalist Black Soda, the title track of this release explores deep vibrations, merging 303 basslines, crisp 909 programming and a highly effective vocal. The Dub Tool reworks the vocals into a more spacey arrangement, adding atmosphere for DJs who like to keep their sets stripped back and trippy. The Hyenah remix flips the script and develops a deep afro-house inspired cut - the man from the Caymen Islands developing an irresistible groove stretched out over seven and a half minutes. Channeling the energy echoing off dancefloors along his path, Reinier Zonneveld has been on a steady slope rolling out dance igniting productions while touring an intricate live set. Megacity Servant, the artist's third studio effort, stands as a coherent 16-piece techno outfit tinged with experimental tones while playfully deconstructing classic acid and disco fragments. Coming from a classical music background, Reinier's style of production ranges from cavernous powertracks to more concise trips subdued with melancholic piano-stemmed soundscapes, rounding up to a signature sound that is evident as it is enveloping.

Plastic People, our intro to Reinier's collective body of work, swiftly introduces a raw techno dungeon mood. Varying elements make for a surrealist atmosphere. Whispered vocals give a soft edge, while the contrast between the upbeat melody and grave stems reiterate its dreamlike character. Following up in the same timbre, a heavy-hitting percussion sets off 8 Ball. The moving bassline is revealed as centerpiece, while faint vocals antagonize the rhythm. Techno mainstay vocalist Cari Golden makes a notable appearance on Things We Might Have Said. Having previously teamed up with sonorous names like Pan Pot, Fur Coat & Coyu, Golden's stellar vocals and skillful lyrics shine paired with Zonneveld's production prowess. The production-vox chemistry is instant, as the track mesmerizes from the get go. Seizing attention for the full length of the track, the entire arrangement seduces the listener, making for a clamorous earworm. Upholding the remote connection between titles and melody cores, Disturbed Minds offers an experimental set of distorted synths permeating the speakers. Spacedge comes in the form of a groovy, laid back offering, with a blunt loopy vocal and a fractalic field recording of over 50 layers as memorable high points. A winding repetitive beat serves as backdrop for Gateway. With a focus on dancefloor antics, elements zigzag, mimicking the initial arrangement. Having created an immersive loop, the percussion switches sides playing the melody, making for a subtle awakening just in time for the title track. Megacity Servant makes use of the classic Roland SH-101's ability to emit a nearly tridimensional sound ray, unfolding newer details with each listen. The relentless melody, padded with grave synth arrays, establishes a melancholic mood, gradually depicting the auditive struggle of its title-named character. EHT unveils a heavy-hitting resolution, as the artist layers on hefty polarizing synths. The cut boasts a powerful arrangement that is unsettling and playful at the same time, diving into dark techno realms. Modern Voodoo offers a trip down the dreamy side of techno. Sharp clangs and high synths pepper the melody amounting to a relentless, mind-reprogramming tidbit. Drowning out the noise of the outside world, Dive slows down the storyline, leaving just enough room to breathe until Dynamite pops in. Bolstering a progressive melody with a spacy vocal hook, the track turns the usual SH-101's 70s string loop into a techno-palatable disco instance. Sharp Bust 2.2 is the sole production that's previously been released, now reworked and reconstructed to amp up and stabilize the raw techno energy. Channeling on the compelling vocal talents of Aymar, Beast unfolds as a spacious and multilateral sonic journey. Coming from a non-electronic musical background, the singer's lush voice offsets the metallic production pads, resulting in an intense contrast. Part of an ongoing collaboration with American pop-folk singer Simone White comes You Could Be The One I Want, a ludic techno ballad whose strong suit consists in the versatile nature of its vocals, being able to shift and reset moods. A steady groove with a wandering synth line, Abstinence brings a moment of brief calm, followed by pure downtempo in Anti Matter, closing off the narrative in an otherworldly manner.
