Featuring amazing covers of tracks by artists such as Leon Ware, Mtume, Archie Bell, The Gap Band, Lowrell, Prince, Starvue, Bobby Caldwell & The Isley Brothers, there is not a filler in site, essentials all the way. The project has taken almost 2 years with the help of many musicians, singers and producers from the scene. A special shout out goes to Peter 'Honeyvoice' Hunnigale for going the extra mile and doing many introductions.

Red D’s debut album ‘Fantasize & Realize’ has been doing the rounds for a while now, to much acclaim by many of his fans and peers alike. Some of these peers have been close to Red D for decades and it seemed only fitting to let them have a go at remixing some of the album tracks.

An all star cast of Charles Webster, Kai Alcé, Far Out Radio Systems and San Soda stepped in, chose their favourite track on the album and set to work. The result is ‘Re-Fantasized & Realized’, a killer deep remix package for the ages. We can assure you that Red D himself was mightily pleased with these and we’re sure you will be too.

Things tend to move in circles until they are complete. Such is the case with WPH TEN-8. When FCL released their ‘Cherry Pie E.P.’ on Kai Alcé’s NDATL label it was already decided that Kai Alcé would find a home on WPH as well. And with his absolutely stunning string of remixes of recent years in mind it made sense to ask Kai to take up remix duties for a new FCL release.
.The result is a release that oozes soul all over. The original track is FCL’s ‘let’s make a track and have great singers aka Lady Linn and Gustaph singing about house music’-moment and Kai’s remix is…well…simply another amazing slice of soul from the man that can do no wrong. It’s house music…as you should know it.

Apart from trying to walk like an Eqyptian back in the 80’s WPH boss Red D never knew much about Egypt, let alone knew that one day he would nodding his head to dusty deep house music made by an Egyptian. Enter Adham Zahran, DJ and producer of some of the deepest grooves ever to arrive at WPH HQ.
On his debut E.P. for WPH Adham Zahran presents two pieces of divine house music that ooze soul and musicianship. ‘The Midnight Tower’ will go straight to your hips with it infectious piano hook whereas ‘Disco Infinite’ is a subtle discofied bass affair that would sit well next to classic Theo Parrish or Moodymann stuff. High praise, but just listen and you’ll know it’s well-deserved!

This one has been in the making for a loooong time and we do believe you will agree it was worth the wait. TJ Kong has been releasing some serious vocal house masterpieces over the past year on Compost and other labels of fame, so it was only a matter of time before they ended up on WPH. When it comes to vocals few do it better than Gustaph, the Belgian lead vocalist of Hercules & Love Affair and a close friend of the WPH family. Inside story: Gustaph provided non-credited (but paid) backing vocals for FCL’s ‘It’s You’ stormer. With TJ Kong Gustaph takes up the role of both lyrics writer and vocalist and does so to devastating effect in absolute perfect unison with the track provided by TJ Kong & Modular K. It’s classic but very very fresh. On the flipside TJ Kong & Modular K team up with French wonderboy Art of Tones aka Llorca for a trip into house music stabs & strings bliss. You should’ve known better, because there is too much gorgeous music coming from our small WPH family to just let other labels shine with it. And so we have decided to throw caution into the wind and embark on a new story. A story in which our artists get to tell their story by means of a full album. At the heart of Metrobox’ sound is a love for Moog, 909 and SH 101 sounds, combined with a knack for seductive melodies and a healthy dose of vocal action. Two collaborations with WPH head honcho Red D and Belgian MC champ TLP add some extra oldskool flavor to the proceedings. And yes, we are well aware of the fact that double or triple albums are heavy on your budget and that you all prefer to shell out 15 euro for a one-sided limited Detroit release instead of a 12” with three tracks you like…so this album will come in three separately available 12”s, giving you complete buyer freedom.
