Whether producing darker, more-minimal leaning productions on his Vigenere imprint through to his contributions alongside Lazare Hoche and S.A.M. as 1/3 of Mandar, his wide-reaching sound sees his productions primed in the record bags of the scene’s most renowned names, with his ‘Phaethon EP’ providing a perfect showcase of this talent.

Welcoming a collection of house gems from across the spectrum - from glistening, resonant synth-driven productions to skittering low-end heavy cuts and warping, twisting efforts - this is arguably his most diverse release to date as he marks his return to Up The Stuss in exemplary fashion. More

Dutchman Malin Genie is head of his own self titled label, as well as this one, is co-owner of Oscillat and De Vloer and is also a member of Mandar member with Lazare Hoche and SAM. Despite all those projects he still manages to sound fresh and different each and every time he pops up. This time out he strides forwards on a loopy techno pulse on 'Corpse Grinder' , gets freaky on the dark synths and eerie pads of 'Death Mangler' and flips you the fuck out with the acid frenzy that is 'Weakling Poser'. And that's just the a-side, on the reverse are three more left of centre dance floor weapons that take in both sleazy house and cosmic electro. What an EP. More

Malin Genie's purple patch continues to yield more delights with this latest drop on his self-titled label. This time around the prolific Dutch artist is delving into smoky, hidden corners of house music where dub lingers thick in the air and rough textures scuff depth and character into the synth work. "Aventijn" has a purposeful drum machine tick but its utterly somnambulant in its execution, while "KIAR" lilts on a dusty groove and woozy clouds of funk. "Duppy" has a distinct dub techno influence, but it's still a steadfast house groover at heart, and "Amulius Numitor" ditches the beats for a pure interstellar exploration. With some bonus locked grooves for creative DJs, this is a versatile and imaginatively rendered EP with creative spark to match its usefulness in the mix. More

REPRESS ALERT: Vigenere is creating a mysterious vibe with its obscure collaborative releases, but the music speaks for itself as it plots a course through deeper realms of the dance. After contributing to the first release, Malin Genie is back and seemingly flying solo for a more direct trip into dubby techno territory - that's certainly the vibe on opening immersion heater "Eschaton". "Drain" has a more tripped out minimal flavour with the after hours in mind, while "Venus" swaps moody atmospheres out for a hazy shuffler peppered with slices of warm instrumentation. "Elara" brings things full circle with another crooked dub-out to bring eyelids down heavy in a state of transcendental bliss. More

Not content with already steering the Vigenere and Oscillat labels and appearing regularly on Will & Ink and Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie has launched his own self-titled label as a vessel for his most intriguing twists on the house and techno template. The record strides in with the tracky tones of "Hypothetical Island Of Stability," a feast of micro pops and squiggles strapped to a rock solid beat. "Fudeoroshi" is more overtly minimalist in nature, using the barest of ingredients to make a potent dancefloor cut. "Bulbocavernosa" opens up the filters and lets a little nasty acid fun and games into the mix, and then "Mer Neith It Es" rounds the record off with a soaring slice of melodic, deep techno that stands confidently apart from the rest of the tracks. His first release Malingering EP in October 2011 gave us a taste of what this 25 year old Amsterdam producer confects in his soul kitchen. Now the génie is out of the bottle once again with a brew of beats that is guaranteed to give everyone a euphoric dance floor and party experience!

Tomorrow Is Now, Kid! or TINK! Records as it was originally called in 1989, was one of the first House labels in The Netherlands. Certainly the first to release Soulful House and Garage tracks onto the dance floors. TINK! Records became a household name with releases by artists such as Black Tulip, Eddy de Clercq (EDC), MTC, MDA. feat. Lilian Vieira, R.J.'s Rule, Formosa and Thyone Girls.

Following releases from Huerta, Mandar and Makcim & Levi last year, Oscillat kicks off 2019 with an assured, brooding club 12" from long-serving producer Matthew Dekay.
Since surfacing in 2001, Dutch producer Dekay has put out a formidable body of work under a variety of aliases and in collaboration with producers including Lee Burridge and Maher Daniel. His sultry tech house approach has graced labels as highly regarded as Innervisions, Cecille, Aras and Maeve, and now he comes to Oscillat with "Spellbound," a track that finds him diving deeper than ever before into hypnotic, swinging rhythms loaded with atmosphere and longing.
On the B side, Oscillat bosses Mandar (Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie and Samuel Andre Madsen) take Dekay's original and inject it with an infectious peak time energy, creating a straight-up, acid-flecked workout that sits in neat contrast with the immersive shuffle of the original. More

In just a few years Noha has made a sizable impact on the contemporary tech house scene. As well as being at the helm of Nabuco Records and Panick Panick! alongside Alex Tea, he's also released a huge swathe of records on labels such as Nilla, Constant Black, Tartouffe and Point Of View. It's not hard to see why the Oscillat crew invited him to their label - his sleek and instinctive sound is a perfect fit for the subliminal house ops the Parisian imprint is best known for. "Nobody" shimmers with invention, marked out by bold, emotive synth strokes and a nagging, subtly swung groove. Oscillat bosses Mandar then take the original right down into a pristine dubbed-out mantra that gets under your skin effortlessly. It's the kind of classy execution Mandar are known for, and best of all it keeps the essence of the soul-stirring original intact in the process. More

REPRESS ALERT! The Oscillat Music label kicks off the Marabouda EP, featuring a killer set of deep house grooves from Sam. From the opening title tracks, with its breathy chords and jazzy keys, which reference classic Chicago house with a uniquely modern flavour, through the Joey Anderson-like weirdness of "Storm Refuge" and pumping rhythms of "Decoy", the producer demonstrates his killer ear for classic deep house textures.
