This Autumn the most prolific label in the game, Greco-Roman, keeps on giving as they announce an EP from rising Manchester DJ/producer TCTS aka Sam O’Neill. The respected London collective will release ‘These Heights’ on November 25th TCTS first came to attention with his debut EP ‘Hands’ on the Cool Kid Music label, and following the success of that release Bondax snapped up his underground hit ‘1997’ for their fledgling
imprint Just Us. The track soon landed on the BBC Radio 1 playlist with support from key protagonists including Huw Stephens, Nick
Grimshaw and Annie Mac, and led to Sam appearing at some of the major summer festivals this year including Glastonbury, Leeds
and Secret Garden Party, alongside shows throughout the UK, Ibiza and across Europe. Now TCTS follows in the hallowed footsteps of Greco alumni Disclosure, Joe Goddard, Roosevelt and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs as he gets ready to release a stunning EP next month. Across 4 exquisite tracks ‘These Heights’ showcases his signature blend of a house aesthetic married with lush synth work and on point percussion, making it arguably his most important and arresting release to date. Title track ‘These Heights’ melds unique, irresistible vocals from 18 year-old BRIT School wunderkind Shivum Sharma with fizzing synth pulses and an insistent beat, while ‘Over’ does melancholy club music to a tee and features the sensational vocals of Holly Partridge (daughter of XTC’s Andy Partridge, fact fans). Joining them are ‘90s tinged piano house number ‘Lose Control’ and cheeky closer ‘Do It Alright’ which keeps the momentum up to the very end. Remixes come courtesy of Kry Wolf, Detroit Swindle and Greco-Roman Soundsystem. Catch TCTS DJ alongside a Greco-Roman flavored line-up on November 8th at London’s legendary Fabric with TEED, Roosevelt and more including secret special guests.
