Sales Note
Scotland's hardest of the hardcore Clouds make a surprise return to Perc Trax with Clubmatter, their first appearance on the label since they remixed Perc's 'Dumpster' back in 2014 with Perc returning the favour to remix Clouds' Dread Networks' on Perc Trax in the same year.

Since then they have been busy performing across the globe, collaborating with Randomer on their uncompromising Headstrong project, founding their own Maxiboy imprint and pairing up with Speedy J for a release on his Stoor label.

Across these four tracks Clouds find a perfect balance between rave energy and sleek techno futurism. The rave sounds we all know well are there, but this isn't the same old vocal samples, hoovers and breakbeats we've heard a million times. Instead Cloud resynthesise the spirit of rave and hardcore, fuse it with their techno background and deliver something fresh and new but still fitting into the lineage of hardcore that goes back to the 1990's.

As ever with a Clouds release the visual side is as sharp as the music and the Raf Rennie designed sleeve of Clubmatter keeps this tradition going with a sharp monochrome interpretation of Cloud's musical vision. More

Turbo continues to explore edgy new territory with this set of absolutely lethal techno jackers from one of Bristol's hottest new talents: joeFarr. Distorted vocal hooks and massively overdriven drum tracks swing over rave-shattering synths. 'CLOCK' has been a major weapon in Tiga's recent DJ sets and has been charted by Dave Clarke, with more big names dying to get their hands on it but unable - it's just that exclusive. This is raw, fear-inducing UK warehouse at it's finest, and a big step forward for the developing New Jack Techno genre. joeFarr has recently remixed Zombie Nation as well as Tiga, and in addition to his work on Turbo is releasing a pair of tracks on Belfast-based DSNT featuring remixes from Truss and Tessela.

Rising Visionquest stars Footprintz cover Raid Over Moscow on Turbo's first ever seven-inch release. Featuring a remix by Ewan Pearson. To complement the recent Raid Over Moscow EP, we enlisted Visionquest signees Footprintz to provide their own take on "Rush to the Capsule", highlighting the excellent songcraft of the original while showcasing the sound that guarantees the Montreal duo will live up to the considerable hype created by their debut single, Utopia. For the B-side, we turned to Ewan Pearson, the producer of Footprintz's amazing debut LP (due later this year), and a consistently great remixer. Pearson uses his insider knowledge of the group's strengths, turning the synth-pop mastery of their cover into a "New Wave Moon Rave", complete with all the male-choir pads such a thing entails.
