Kastil, aka of the spanish Mario Castillo, is well known and especially for his role as a producer of furious and intricate techno works with a high industrial influence. But at 30D we like that our close people (and Kastil is very close, since he is responsible for the mastering of all our label's releases) have absolute freedom to release what they consider appropriate, here is a clear example: Mario leaves aside his usual four-to-the-floor vision to immerse himself -completely on purpose- into classic IDM and into the most beautiful, musical and even epic electronica. Only one of the four tracks that conform the EP ('Polymorphic') clearly looks to the dance floor although it shares, along with the three remaining tracks, the artist's passion for the timeless sound of the 90's. QuadroQuill EP will be released on 30D Records' sub-label ExoPlanets, in both, vinyl (strictly limited edition) and digital format. More

Label-owner Kastil continues the Soul Notes imprint with a release that represents the self-reivention process that he is currently experiencing. Emphasizing on advanced synthesis and a more atmospheric approach to his sound, the Basque country native takes one on an intergalactic journey through his current mindset. The title track 'Binary Star' is a spacious journey where Kastil subtly blends ferm drums with a mystic pad and unusual drum changes. The effort slowly builds into a otherworldly peak with an original synthline. For the A2 effort called 'Forest Curtains' Kastil heads into more repetitive territory where the focus lies heavily on drums and FX, some squeeky synth bits set the tone. On the B side we find a very interesting Binary Star rework from EOMAC (of Lakker fame) who sets a somewhat dark tone which is reminiscent of Garage from a futuristic techno point of view. Not a track to pin down to one genre but definitely an effort that will turn a lot of heads.

SNW01 contains some previously unreleased cuts from Labelowner ''Kastil''. Where he never thought of releasing this before. He rapidly changed his mind after seeing the reactions to these ''cuts'' at his gigs but also on his Soundcloud page and facebook. After several people requesting a release of the A side ''Rush'' he decided to press them up to serve his loyal followers. These are two rough, peaktime house jams which have a mesmerizing effect to them. The vocal in ''Gather Up!'' is the perfect example. For our 9th release we look to our homeland and the city of Córdoba, as we welcome Bodeler & Brandub with their Sensitronic EP. Together the duo paint a brilliant display of sound as they intuitively merge minimal, funk, techno and house to create two stunning originals. Our vinyl release is lead by the raw, jacking' groove of 'Hat Swing', before we are plunged deeper it the hypnotic expanse of the aptly titled 'Spaced Out'. Following dancefloor burners from Esperanza's Papol and Lucas Mari, respectively served with remixes by Ekkohaus and G-Man, Savor finally turns to label numero-uno Jorge Savoretti for an unabridged EP. Today's 5-course menu doesn't hold any flavors back and digs right into the action with "Chicagotriptool". Those following Jorge Savoretti and his fellow DJs have probably heard this dropped many times over the last few years. Finally pressed on wax, its bassline is a serious lethal weapon. "That Ride" is offered in two variants: the DJ-friendly Dub Mix, cut on the A2, and the Vocal Mix - featuring Sophie Taylor's diva timbre, included on the record's digital sib. Those who have followed our releases so far were able to identify a constant acid tang developed throughout - "Back To Basics" passes this on, with its feverish synth-lines. Savor Music’s second 12” release follows a rockin’ record by Papol and Ekkohaus. We are proud to present today some raw future classics that will quite simply tear the floor into pieces. Lucas Mari is a hard to catch butterfly that spreads his subtle wings on few carefully selected projects. A resident of the city of Rosario in Argentina, Lucas Mari appeared occasionally on the very fine Argentine label Greener, German imprint Stock 5 and on US labels Adjunct and Airdrop. In true early ‘90s Chicago fashion, the two original cuts feature some serious drum machine action, building a sturdy way to allow for some exquisite chord relief to flourish. Gez Varley, absolutely stunned by listening to the originals, decided to contribute to the release with a simple and hypnotic remix that only he, the one and only G-Man has the recipe for. Also not to be missed is Savor’s digital series, which features DJ tools by Papol and labelheads Cape and Jorge Savoretti…

Originating from Argentina, Savor Music is a multi-cultural project that aims at bringing out our favorites 'flavors' in sound. The leading forces behind the project are Cape and Jorge Savoretti, both natives of the city of Rosario. Savor Music kicks off underlining the Madrilenian connection, so dear to us. It is represented here by our great friend Papol of the Esperanza crew. Developing his sound release after release, he allowed us to pick through his best tracks in order to inaugurate our 12" vinyl series. On the A side, first up is 'Before Tea', a strong driving bomb with a crossover appeal. A2, Ekkohaus delivers a surprising broken beat take of 'Dub 2010'. You will find the original version of the latter and a second Ekkohaus remix as bonus mixes, only on the digital release - both deeper than deep... Drop the needle on the flip: 'Prom', the monster slowly crawls out, taking over any floor, setting the place off on a peak of acid fire! Please handle with care... To finish things off smoothly, 'Windface' will take you on a pleasant cloud-walking journey with its warm synths. A true DJ's delight of a record... Enjoy our flavors!
