Kastil, aka of the spanish Mario Castillo, is well known and especially for his role as a producer of furious and intricate techno works with a high industrial influence. But at 30D we like that our close people (and Kastil is very close, since he is responsible for the mastering of all our label's releases) have absolute freedom to release what they consider appropriate, here is a clear example: Mario leaves aside his usual four-to-the-floor vision to immerse himself -completely on purpose- into classic IDM and into the most beautiful, musical and even epic electronica. Only one of the four tracks that conform the EP ('Polymorphic') clearly looks to the dance floor although it shares, along with the three remaining tracks, the artist's passion for the timeless sound of the 90's. QuadroQuill EP will be released on 30D Records' sub-label ExoPlanets, in both, vinyl (strictly limited edition) and digital format.

Label-owner Kastil continues the Soul Notes imprint with a release that represents the self-reivention process that he is currently experiencing. Emphasizing on advanced synthesis and a more atmospheric approach to his sound, the Basque country native takes one on an intergalactic journey through his current mindset. The title track 'Binary Star' is a spacious journey where Kastil subtly blends ferm drums with a mystic pad and unusual drum changes. The effort slowly builds into a otherworldly peak with an original synthline. For the A2 effort called 'Forest Curtains' Kastil heads into more repetitive territory where the focus lies heavily on drums and FX, some squeeky synth bits set the tone. On the B side we find a very interesting Binary Star rework from EOMAC (of Lakker fame) who sets a somewhat dark tone which is reminiscent of Garage from a futuristic techno point of view. Not a track to pin down to one genre but definitely an effort that will turn a lot of heads.

SNW01 contains some previously unreleased cuts from Labelowner ''Kastil''. Where he never thought of releasing this before. He rapidly changed his mind after seeing the reactions to these ''cuts'' at his gigs but also on his Soundcloud page and facebook. After several people requesting a release of the A side ''Rush'' he decided to press them up to serve his loyal followers. These are two rough, peaktime house jams which have a mesmerizing effect to them. The vocal in ''Gather Up!'' is the perfect example. These are two underground slammers, produced with class and in high demand.

Kastil takes the A-side with the title track "Paraside," a classic deep house Chicago jam that exudes style, while "17th Street" has the same deep US flavour but with more drive and purpose. On the flip, Mr. Cinelli creates a trippy and subtle reinterpretation of "17th Street" but still retains the bouncy flavor in a way he only knows how to do it. Watch out for those snares.

J.C.'s "Farewell for Walls" gives us three well crafted original tracks plus a remix by Hector Oaks.
It starts with an atmospheric breakbeat work-out followed by a more pounding version by OAKS/KAOS boss Hector.
The B-side continues where the remix stopped, upping the energy and sticking to a 4x4 pattern while retaining breaky elements and chopped vocals.

No Spiritual Surrender, AKA Spanish techno producers J.C. (Deeply Rooted/Tresor) and Kastil (Esperanza/Wilson Records) return for a four-track EP following their self-titled, debut album late last year.
A1 'Ez Du Axola' portrays rampant synth based percussion, dominating the mix while A2 'The Shakes' is a paranoid, DnB roller for the eyes down crew.
For more pleasant surprises, flip for the B1 'T.Y.S.R.' which is an abstract and disjointed collage of radio samples that massage the ears, before B2 'XXX' closes out with distorted kicks that have enough torque to shatter any system.

We are very happy to announce the 13th release of Cabrera with two special remixes from the label boss', J.C., 'Vertigo' record that came out in the summer of 2017. Side A comes with a special Shed rework. Rene is a huge influence for us and we are thrilled to have him on our catalogue. Keeping the essence of the original, he made a proper raw dub techno banger. On the flip side, Kastil, already part of the family, took Nyame in a whole other level and made a fresh blend of fierce techno.
