Ka§par, - Ode to the Ancients
You're about to feel (again) why every record Ka§par does for Groovement takes a while to be released. Simply because special things need time to emerge. After Whatchadoo's underground buzz he's been intensely working in the studio, readying his most mature record yet. Inspired by the great masters and their legacy, Ka§par pushes himself towards the future with his own galactic sound palette. Ode to the ancients EP is certainly his most accomplished, consistent and authorial work to date. A side opens with the multi layered sonic deepness of 'Ode to the ancients', a transcendental journey through time - ancient to future - that resonates much of the essence of Ka§par's working ethos. A very complex piece of music embodied in a strong feeling of togetherness and universal highness. A moment of creation where simplicity unfolds if we let the mind travel through space. Second offering (A2 - Twin Sparkle) keeps the same cosmological path but with a more energetic and sophisticated approach. A complete mind, body and soul experience. B side starts with Glasgow best. Carlos Nilmmns aka Ross McMillan from Solab fame builds up a future classic, reworking the elegant 'Able to find' original that shows one of the many Ka§par's hidden facets. Capturing textures from Chicago and Detroit with a touch of Glasgow, Ross delivers an amazing piano house roller that already grabbed Jus-Ed's attention. We are lucky and proud of this. Then comes the original... a beautiful post-dubstep track showcasing why Ka§par's music has no categories and will always be striving to break established patterns. After 'Whatchadoo's impact 'Ode to the ancients' puts the focus on the right place. Music is not about quantity more about passion and talent. Ka§par has both!
