SAI is one of the most promising producers of the current japanese electronic scene. After a few acclaimed releases on respected labels, he becomes the first international act signed by Groovement in many years. The result is a very solid 4 track EP named “Flying with you”. Groovement has been developing its artistic connection with Japan in recent years, so Sai’s integration as a member of the label’s on-going group of producers feels nothing short than natural. This first record showcases his meticulous approach to electronic music creation, with 4 original tracks that constitute a strong demonstration of his potential. “Flying with you” is a collection of tracks with a House matrix feel, sometimes revealing a dramatic pulse other times hypnotic forward thinking moves, but always with a subtle melodic texture that makes it work for the mind, body and soul. Tiago is such a quietly unique mind of his own. Yet he incarnates so many different artistic personas. In fact, we could reference countless alias, so huge is the body of work done for many great labels around the world. On Groovement, TNT Subhead project emerged back in 2010 with a limited heavyweight red vinyl under a secretive identity, but it didn't last long. However, we didn't rush him to deliver a new one as usual nowadays. Now that the wait is over, the reward is big. 'Ecstasy & release' LP is finished and will be released soon. Before that… the single becomes available with a Tom Ov England aka Thomas Bullock remix. Dreamy package! 'We all need love' Tiago declares over his 'Ecstasy & release' title track from the TNT Subhead debut album. It's the kind of urge we recurrently feel. A message of hope and TRUST - name for his now legendary LUX residency, Lisbon's top club. There's a certain kind of hypnosis that builds and then unfolds the way to this big celebrative moment: the ecstasy & release climax! Thomas Bullock adds his live & sexy Midas touch to Tiago's original. Tom Ov England, his newborn artistic project, seems to be playing a whole band, reinterpreting 'Ecstasy & release' on a very psychedelic Doors-esque state of mind. Infestus is Groovement's new breed of talent. He's a musician, producer and DJ based in Lisbon that participated in 2010's RBMA London edition. He's also integral part of our cultural platform intervention. ?Electric Purple' represents the babylonian side of contemporary creation: very easy pointing out the many captured musical influences but generally hard assembling them into a new, genuine sound signature. Infestus is part of the few with a creative answer to that. Therefore his music will live through the test of time. Title track (Electric Purple) is deep and melodic and sound wall built yet embodied by a neon purple aura that the cosmos is made of. Bass is the strut but it's the way Infestus plays the keys that definitely drives us all into the great spiritual field.You could eventually meet Ron Hardy playing this at the Box (Chicago) or even some Detroit Techno pioneers at their early days... because what takes you back is definitely what moves you further!?Afterglow' reveals a more dark and hypnotic side of Infestus' music, that later unfolds brightness and ultimately rendition to what life is about: celebration! Voices and sound textures are organically blended by an irresistible techno pulsation, strong enough to bring together many different tribes under the same dancing roof!B side is an outstanding (Afterglow) rework of the amazing Chicago Damn producer. You're about to feel (again) why every record Ka§par does for Groovement takes a while to be released. Simply because special things need time to emerge. Inspired by the great masters and their legacy, Ka§par pushes himself towards the future with his own galactic sound palette. Ode to the ancients EP is certainly his most accomplished, consistent and authorial work to date. A side opens with the multi layered sonic deepness of 'Ode to the ancients', a transcendental journey through time - ancient to future - that resonates much of the essence of Ka§par's working ethos. A very complex piece of music embodied in a strong feeling of togetherness and universal highness. A moment of creation where simplicity unfolds if we let the mind travel through space. Then comes the original... a beautiful post-dubstep track showcasing why Ka§par's music has no categories and will always be striving to break established patterns. One of Vahagn's best friends (Tiago from DFA, Clearmont 56, Golf Channel, etc), has a residency at Lisbon's top club LUX called "Trust". After attending one of these "Trust" nights, this Lisbon-based armenian musician arrived in his studio right after the club night and wrote the original material for this record in the course of a few hours. The result was so special, that soon Groovement had it signed upon hearing, and contacted Tiago to be the remixer for the track dedicated to him. A record with a story like this is bound to be good!
