Richie Hawtin's triumphant return to the stage as Plastikman in 2010 proved that his best-known alias is as innovative and as relevant as ever. Hawtin has taken Plastikman's most classic material, originally released between 1993 and 2003, and reworked it for a truly live performance accompanied by mind-bending, synchronized visuals-a sound and light show like no other, one that collapses the distance between present-day festivals and the uncompromisingly underground warehouse parties of the mid '90s. For many attendees, this is their first taste of Plastikman. Since 2003, Hawtin has been far better known simply as Richie Hawtin, the celebrated DJ and mastermind behind the Minus label. Some fans today were still infants when Plastikman's acid ripple first began streaming from Hawtin's basement studio in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. For long-time devotees and new fans alike, Hawtin now presents Plastikman's Arkives, a comprehensive release that pulls together 17 years of the Plastikman story so far, including remastered versions of all six previously released Plastikman albums and a trove of rarities, new remixes, unreleased sessions and new material. Arkives is a strictly limited, made-to-order edition, which means only as many copies will be manufactured as have been pre-ordered. Arkives Analog is the vinyl version on 6 pieces of 180 gram vinyl, featuring exclusive tracks taken from the Replikants remixes, plus a limited edition Plastikman poster. The set comes in a special deluxe custom box. Just as Hawtin and his crew used to cap admission to their underground parties, Arkives' edition will be strictly limited and it's a once in a lifetime chance to experience the full sweep of Plastikman's journey so far. 1. Plastikman - Gak (Gaiser's Oozing Through Windsor Tunnel Remix) 2. Plastikman - Akoustik (Francois K Electro Akoustik Remix) 3. Plastikman - Glob (Hobo's Acid Mix) 4. Plastikman - Mind In Rewind (Steve Bicknell Lost Remix) 5. Plastikman - Plasticity (Dubfire Remix) 6. Plastikman - Krakpot (Moby Remix) 7. ABOUT
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Plastikman, aka Richie Hawtin, has remastered his groundbreaking second album, Musik, from the original tapes for a new limited bio-vinyl edition.
The record was first released in November 1994 through NovaMute and Plus 8, following the debut Plastikman album, Sheet One (1993). A masterclass in minimal techno, Musik quickly propelled Hawtin to new levels of success. The release followed Plastikman's first-ever live performance in a black vinyl-encased room at a semi-derelict Packard Plant in Detroit, where Hawtin was central to the burgeoning underground scene.
Before the full album hit the shelves, the track 'Plastique' (which was later described by Q as "...the flipside to Hawtin's early singles, all ticking percussion, feline acid tweaks, and cushioned sub-bass") set the stage for a more dance floor-friendly album, albeit one with an unsettling and sinister side.
The album, described by The Guardian as "music as you've never heard it before" and by The Wire, who made it one of their Albums of the Year, as "... a masterpiece", defined a moment in techno that still echoes today.
Now, 30 years later, the album has been remastered from the original tapes, reminding us why Plastikman is a name that still resonates and that the album's intensity - on and off the dance floor - has lost none of its potency in the intervening years.
Available on limited edition double bio-vinyl from Mute and NovaMute.

Double Vinyl
Pressed on BioVinyl and packaged in environmental wrapping
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Plastikman's redefining acid techno masterpiece, Sheet One, has been mastered from the original tapes and reissued on vinyl via Mute and NovaMute.
Released in 1993 on Mute's subsidiary label NovaMute, this record was the debut for Richie Hawtin's alias Plastikman. 30 years on Sheet One is a landmark album in the field of electronic music, it changed the shape of what the genre could be and became.
Introducing one of techno's most recognisable logos, the album achieved a degree of notoriety for its acid blotter-style perforated artwork. Musically it focuses on laser-precise minimalist rhythms to drive a series of echo-box acid lines that gradually acquire power over the course of lengthy album tracks, with frequent use of the Roland TB-303, which gained prominence in the electronic music world as a staple of Chicago's acid house scene. Hawtin once described Sheet One perfectly in an interview with MusicRadar, saying "...It's music for the end of the party as you're melting into the floor, which is exactly what the name Plastikman was made to represent."
This seminal album helped to establish the template for minimal techno, and is a must listen for lovers of electronic music.
Available on double bio vinyl.

Plastikman, - Slinky
VINYLEXCLUSIVE TRACK MONKEY!!!
As anticipation builds around Plastikman's forthcoming Arkives box set, Richie Hawtin sneaks up with something we weren't expecting: a new Plastikman single.
If you've heard Hawtin spin this summer, you're going to recognize Slinky as one of the highlights of his set: a blistering acid track that immediately stands out from today's standard-issue bassline techno hits. Ominous and insistent, it corkscrews deep into your brain, digging a wobbly 303 groove and hammering the point home with white-hot 909 snares. It's got all the hallmarks of classic Plastikman, from the octave-jumping acid lines to the white-knuckled, edge-of-your-seat suspense. In terms of intensity, it's right up there with "Glob" and "Spastik"-but, true to its name, it's slinkier and sexier, moving with a grinding, side-winding shuffle. It's quite a tricky business, rhythmically speaking, with unhinged triplet patterns slipping between the cracks of a stomping 4/4 beat. At several crucial points, the downbeat drops out, leaving you unmoored and bobbing dangerously out to sea. It's thrills, chills, and spills galore, and the same goes for the B-side, Monkee, a properly minimalist jungle-drum groove made of dizzily syncopated toms and clean, linear 808 patter. It's a trip into the darkest recesses of the rainforest, complete with the screeching of unknown beasts. And, like "Slinky," the groove works two different ways, with three-against-four pulses tugging your brain in two directions at once. In a word: dizzying. Beyond the obvious impact of both tracks, the single is particularly notable for being the first new Plastikman material since 2005's Nostalgik.2. Or… is it? In the run-up to Arkives, Hawtin has hinted at a trove of unreleased Plastikman material, tracks that have never seen the light of day. Are these tracks part of that bounty? Or are they new expressions of the classic Plastikman style? Hawtin isn't saying-all we know is that they're absolutely devastating.

Joran van Pol is back on Minus with Edge, a fantastic four track EP that is his first on the label since 2013. In the years since, the Amsterdam based artist
has set up his own FADE label and has continued to evolve his cinematic techno sound.
Previously, van Pol has also released on labels like Rejected, SCI+TEC and Ideal Audio, and has the support of all the big techno players who often reach for his tunes in their sets. As a DJ he is just as in demand, with headline slots everywhere from Space Ibiza to Time Warp all behind him. Having recently set up a new studio, he is still coming on strong with fresh inspiration and ever more essential grooves. ‘Illos’ opens things with seven spooky minutes of icy techno. Rolling rubbery drums pump away below, and the details up top make for an evocative soundscape with distant industrial sounds, groaning bass and razor sharp hi hats all filling your mind with imagery. Next comes title track ‘Edge’, another brilliant sonic landscape with tense chords repeating over ticking percussion. It’s a track that builds tension throughout, and keeps you looking over your shoulder into the eerie blackness.
The perfectly high pressure ‘Return’ is one that locks you in and never lets up, with warped synths snaking above traintrack like drums and hits. A dark, rumbling bassline and the sounds of pistons releasing air all add to the intensity of this brainmelting bit of futuristic techno.
Last but not least, ‘Frostbite’ is then the most spacious and spooky offering of the lot. It has freaky alien sound designs scattered around the track with supple kicks driving the whole thing forwards. It’s an absorbing cut that hurries along and takes you for a thrilling ride.
These are four more inventive techno tracks from one of the contemporary scene’s brightest stars. More

Jon Gaiser returns with full length album ‘III’ on Minus
Throughout his career, Jon Gaiser has been synonymous with forward thinking techno and
sensory stimulating live audiovisual shows. Mixing up both analogue and digital recording
techniques, his abstract music never fails to be both cerebral and cinematic as well as fresh
and physical, never ceasing to place you right in the center of his own special universe.
Since 2014’s ‘False Light’, Jon has continued to headline shows around the world, while
constantly producing new material to test in his live sets. Always evolving whilst remaining
true to his singular vision for techno, this trained percussionist and skilled drummer once
again confounds expectation with his latest opus.
New Release Information
The album kicks off with the introductory ‘Wirelife’. Rolling beats underpin a percolating
synth line and sci-fi sound effects that immediately get you in the groove. ‘Stringtest’ and
‘Facefall’ seamlessly round out the first chapter with oodles of pure minimal funk and
rubbery bass, curious song details and subtle effects. The next chapter touches on darker,
hard hitting rhythms in ‘Doorway’, freaky dehumanized vocals with ‘Rubdown’ and choppy
house styles on ‘Out Too’, but all exude humid atmospheres and an inviting sense of
otherworldly charm. The last trio of tracks completes this fascinating story with the
shuffling drums of ‘How’s That’, the colorful melodies of ‘For Balance’ and playful
widescreen vibes of ‘On The Way’.
When all the tracks here are added together into one musical experience, it makes for a
fluid, expertly programmed ride that takes you somewhere new and exciting, as is always
the case with the one and only Gaiser. More

techniques, his abstract music never fails to be both cerebral and cinematic as well as fresh
and physical, never ceasing to place you right in the center of his own special universe.
More

Originally released on Richie Hawtin's Minus label a decade ago, Restore stands alone as Houle's very first long-player and helped to establish his penchant for the quirkier side of techno and his superlative production skills. Spread across three 12"s & 11 tracks it encapsulated the dark, minimal, groove-driven sound purveyed by Hawtin and the rest of the Minus crew, while retaining a strong sense of Houle's unique character and identity. Now it's the perfect time to breath new life into an album that has stood the test of time, still utterly infectious and absorbing - a collection of music that captures an era of stripped back, yet captivating sounds. 10 years since its release, the album is getting the remix treatment and Marc has called in some of the very best in techno talent to give Restore a fresh makeover. The selection of artists who've contributed to the 'Restored' project includes heavyweights such as Joris Voorn, M.A.N.D.Y. and Popof together with additional reworks from stars of the new generation such as Danny Daze, Julian Jeweil and Harvard Bass, all giving his tracks a new lease of life. In addition, Houle himself has also stepped up to offer a new contemporary take on his own music, collaborating with vocalist Genevieve Marentette on 'Demor'. "Restore was the beginning of it all for me. It was influenced by the sounds of Detroit and the endless parties I went to there in the 90s. It was my first album and to me it had the perfect balance of darkness, groove and electronic sounds. 10 years later, I am excited to present Restored with some modern interpretations on old tracks by some friends and colleagues who have kept the party going throughout the world."- Marc Houle

Info:
A key member of the Minus family for almost a decade, Jon Gaiser is to release False Light, his third artist album on Richie Hawtin's label in autumn 2014. The ten-track affair shows the American born, Berlin based techno innovator to have continued to evolve since his last full length and again is a very complete and contemporary techno tale. Since 2005, Gaiser has been at the heart of the minimal techno movement. His hugely atmospheric EPs and LPs have always explored the darker, more stripped back and abstract edges of the dancefloor and have often done so in conjunction with immersive and complimentary live visuals. Says Gaiser of his working methods: "I've always been a big fan of analog gear, both old and new. I'm also a big fan of new digital technologies that create sounds that have never been heard before. I prefer to have the best of both analog and digital worlds working together, to make the most creatively flexible production environment as possible." As well as working as VOID, Gaiser is also a revered live performer who creates immersive on-the-fly soundscapes using Ableton MIDI controllers and Maschine, and regularly performs at some of the world's best festivals and club nights, including Hawtin's own ENTER. nights at Space Ibiza. A trained percussionist and sometime punk rock drummer, around the age of 15 Gaiser discovered the underground techno scene in Detroit and "was completely intrigued by the energy of the music" and so began collecting drum machines, synthesizers and FX units to build a studio in his teens. Before long he impressed techno innovator Richie Hawtin, was signed to Minus and soon began releasing on the seminal label. Playing in Europe so often meant the natural thing for him to do was to move to Berlin, and it is from there that his sound has flourished. The new album was written with a specific approach in mind, as Jon explains: "My main idea while working on this album was to go into the studio and have as much fun as possible. I wanted to create something where each track complemented each other, where all of the tracks relate to each other in a way so that the whole album tells a story. But ultimately, I wanted it to be a fun story." And that sure is the case, because everything here comes with a playful percussive line, a wiggling synth lead of the sort of baseline that cannot be ignored. Opening up with 'Strangers', a squelchy groove is established immediately with ghoulish voices bringing lots of dark energy to the thumping drums. From there a high tempo is kept up with the likes of 'Oozewave' and its spritely, squealing synths, 'Say What' and its rubbery drums and always percolating baseline and the superbly synthetic and rolling 'Droplets', which sounds like classic Gaiser. The second half of the album unfolds through kinetic, funk led affairs like 'Reflekts' with its pained and lingering synths, the tightly coiled and apocalyptic sounding 'Driftwork' and then shuts down with the lush ambient textures and liquid synths of 'Way Out'. Tied together by a keen sense of rhythm and playful sense of off kilter melodic charm, False Light is Gaiser's most complete artistic statement yet. An extensive tour is planned to support the album, featuring a brand new visual show, created by accomplished Turkish artist and director Ahmet Said Kaplan.

Info:
After a three-year production hiatus, Barcelona's techno kingpin Paco Osuna returns with not only a new release for Richie Hawtin's Minus label, but also his debut LP, entitled Long Play-eight precision tracks, purpose-built for the dance floor in his inimitable style.Long Play is a meeting point of Paco Osuna's past and his future. The product of nearly 20 years behind the decks from early residencies at Amnesia in the late '90s, to an integral role in Hawtin's current ENTER. events at Space and a push forward for techno, house, minimal, and tech-house, Long Play's sleek and exuberant tracks are thread together by Osuna's always-addictive basslines. "The bassline is my obsession," he says-the key ingredient to making picture-perfect techno and playing incredible, unflaggingly energetic DJ sets. After taking a lengthy break from production to focus on his busy performance schedule, Osuna worked on Long Play in fits and starts. But the album really came to life after the recent birth of his son. "I had this really crazy idea to record him crying or making noises, and put it in a track. Thank god I didn't do that," he says with a laugh. "I knew I needed to do something serious." What resulted was this suite of dance-floor tracks that succinctly represent what Osuna's fans have come to expect from his legendary DJ sets. "Soft, hard, funky... I'm very open-minded, and I like to play everything," he explains. Gentle congas and a swerving bassline make "Let's Dream" the "perfect track for an afterhours," Osuna contends. It's followed by a divebombing bass synth that punctuates the hearty tech-house thump of "Only You." "Nop Games" brings to mind Osuna's slick minimalist moments, and "Gate Scape" fills the gaps in between with a quickened pace with upbeat drums. He continues in that vein, with the insistent tick of "Pluss Bass" working for more frenzied moments. "Because it's super-crazy and people go crazy when I play it," he notes. Elsewhere, Osuna takes a restrained detour on "Longituden" for a low-slung dance-floor workout, and on the darker "Away From Home," he points inward for a more cerebral transitional track. Lastly, "Ying Yang" starts off sleek and laidback, but crescendos with a burst of sensuality-the perfect way to tie these eight pieces together. Assembling these genre-spanning tracks at his home studio in Barcelona was an arduous process, which involved late-night sessions scheduled around his newborn, occasionally producing on headphones, and even moving houses, but from the bustle emerged a newfound focus. "I just wanted to do something that I can say to my son in the future, 'I made this album right when you were born, and you were my inspiration,'" he says. His duties as a new father aside, Osuna continues to balance running his Mindshake label, maintaining his post at ENTER., and producing his own longstanding Club4 events in Barcelona, all of which played an important role in the genesis of Long Play. "Playing music for other people, seeing their reactions, hearing weird sounds and wondering how the producer got them when I go back home, I try to remember how I felt when I heard those sounds, and bring those emotions to my music," he says. With a lifelong dedication to making the highest quality techno, and a passion for making people move, for Osuna, Long Play is as much a look inward as a look outward deep progressions, hard percussion, funky moods, and blissful moments of transition all coalescing into a pure expression of his modern techno sound.

A key member of the Minus family for almost a decade, Jon Gaiser is to release his lead single "Krakdup" preceding his full length release "False Light" in November. An extensive tour is planned to support the album, featuring a brand new visual show, created by accomplished Turkish artist and director Ahmet Said Kaplan.

Barcode: 815349012368 Release Date Physical:15.12.2014
TRACK LISTING: A: Genome (Main Mix) B: Genome (Sebastian Mullaert Remake)
Inspired in equal measure by analog synthesizer technology and the lush Swedish countryside, Genome marks the first collaboration between veteran techno producers Patrick Siech and Minilogue's Sebastian Mullaert, with part one of the three-EP series appearing on Richie Hawtin's Minus label. Recorded live to tape last spring, the four tracks that comprise Genome 1 make for a transformative dancefloor experience that morphs and swoops its way through soulful, sweaty analog techno with flourishes of 303-style acid. Mullaert and Siech met in their hometown of Malmö, Sweden, back in 2000, when Mullaert was premiering his Minilogue project live with partner Marcus Henriksson. Siech opened that show with his very first public DJ set. The pair kept in touch over the years in the small but tightknit scene, and when it came time for Mullaert to set up his new studio in the small forest village of Röstånga, an hour outside of the city, he enlisted Siech's help, which led to a week of intense experimentation and lengthy analog-synth jams. "That was the real door opener for us," says Mullaert. "We didn't have any concept or vision in mind for it, other than having fun together." Central to the Genome series is Siech's modular synth, which he reassembled in Mullaert's studio for the recording. "I credit all my tracks partly to the ghost that lives in this machine," says Siech. "I can't imagine making music without it. There are so many variables in it that create strange voltage fluctuations, so you can never be 100% sure what it will throw at you from the speakers." From that low-pressure recording environment emerged a number of epically mesmerizing live tracks, one take of which forms the basis for Genome 1's 10-minute-long "Main Mix," its burbling, arpeggiated synth lead almost breathing on its own, constantly shifting in and out of sync as the track's propulsive drums gently come into focus. "When you're jamming live, you are actually there to really feel a track as it's supposed to be heard," says Siech. "If it's a good track and you manage to hypnotize yourself during the recording process, it will normally end up long because that's just what feels right. And you don't want to wake people from their dream state too soon if you don't have to." Both producers have a penchant for crafting long, drawn-out dancefloor compositions. "Honestly, a 10-minute track is pretty short for me," Mullaert says with a laugh. The deep, meditative aspects of dance music are key to his slowly evolving soundscapes. "As a DJ, I love those long journeys where the dancer loses the concept of different tracks, and they all melt together into one." Inspired by the live take that became Genome 1's "Main Mix," Mullaert went back into the studio and crafted three more versions to complement the lead track. The "Sebastian Mullaert Dub" molds the original's meandering structure and refocuses it for a deeper, darker dancefloor. His "Remake" maintains the tension while introducing new melodic elements half-way through, and his "Reshape" (under his Wa Wu We guise) is a subdued, spatial dub-techno suite that's punctuated by rich analog sonics. "Dance music has a very spiritual element to me," Mullaert explains. "I dance because I it helps me to get in touch with my inner truth; it basically helps me to relax in being me, and appreciate and be thankful for what I am." Moving his home and studio to the countryside also helped facilitate that introspection. "The national park begins just a few hundred meters from my studio," he says. "Walks in the forest and meditation is part of my daily life, and also an important part of getting in touch with my creativity." In that respect, the name "Genome" takes on a double meaning: "The genome is the building brick and sequence of life," informs Siech. "It's about the creative process of making a record in the ancient forest surrounding Sebastian's studio, and also the organic randomness of the analog equipment we've used throughout the process," he says, considering the natural worlds both outside and inside the studio. "Lucky accidents happen all the time that make your track turn into something better than what you might've expected. It's the machines having a life of their own."
Expect two more Genome EPs in the future, along with a full-on analog live show, Sebastian Mullaert & Patrick Siech Present GENOME LIVE, in 2015.

Little Dragon - When I Go Out
LP
Territory: No sales to: Japan, UK, Eire, Benelux and Americas
Since 2009’s critically acclaimed Machine Dreams they have not sat still, touring the globe and making some high profile friends along the way.
No one in their right mind would have expected the future of soul music to come from Gothenburg, Sweden. But there it is in the dreamy, rhythmical, shifting, moody rainbow creature
that is Little Dragon. It is easy to see why some of the world’s top musical luminaries are falling over themselves to work with them. Stylishly seductive in their own right, their 2007 selftitled debut was filled with classy songwriting and cool production, with the stunning track ‘Twice’ getting played on Grey’s Anatomy and countless adverts since it’s release. Machine
Dreams showed a bouncier side, as they flexed their dancing nous and came up with an album that would turn Prince’s head.
Damon Albarn invited them to collaborate on two tracks for last year’s Gorillaz record Plastic Beach, which became album highlights for the critics with Pitchfork describing the songs
‘Empire Ants’ and ‘To Binge’ as “two of the most arresting things here; they’re airy, elusive and amazingly beautiful”.
Little Dragon started 2011 with a headlining tour of the U.S. and a performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in March, thanks to a recommendation from super-fan Questlove of
The Roots. In May, the band appeared on the track ‘Just Don’t’ from Raphael Saadiq’s Stone Rollin’, a record some are already calling the album of the year. Then Big Boi and DJ
Shadow called to invite the group to work on new music.

Little Dragon - Scribbled Paper
LP: Black Vinyl With printed inner
Territory: No sales to: Japan, UK, Eire, Benelux and Americas
The debut album from soulful electronic pioneers Little Dragon originally released in 2007 was initially a record
slept on as no one in their right mind would have expected the future of soul music to come from Gothenburg,
Sweden. But there it is in the dreamy, rhythmical, shifting, moody rainbow creature that is Little Dragon. With
hindsight it is easy to see why some of the world’s top musical luminaries went onto fall over themselves to work
with them.
Includes the must own classics “Twice”; a master class in low key pop, with a sparse piano line offset by classy
strings and woozy synth wobbles; it is restrained, but never detached (over 100 million streams across multiple
DSPs) and “Constant Surprises” where Yukimi’s delicious vocal skips and glides atop hi-hats and bubbling bass
laying down the bands distinct soulful credentials (30 million streams)

trentemoller - Moan (Radioslave Remix)
2022 repress
Tracklist:
01 Moan (Trentemoller Remix)
02 Moan (Radioslave Remix)
Only released in October 2006, Anders Trentemøller‘s stunning debut-album „The Last Resort“ already evolved into one of the most successful independent albums of the year. Raving reviews all over the place, various elections as „album of the year“ and solid playlists at the radios express the huge interest in the fantastic album. While 2006 has been topped of with a tour through Australia, the first Trentemøller highlight in 2007 will be the release of „Moan“, the second single from the album. For the a-side Trentemøller himself created a brilliant remix of the „Moan“-Vocal Version, which has been released on the Bonus-CD of the limited edition album only. Trentemøller managed to keep the mystic melancholic vibe of the track featuring the vocals of danish talent Ane Trolle, but adds punshy drums, screaming synths and some more guitars to guarantee serious dancefloor-action. Radioslave aka Matt Edwards aka Rekid aka Quite Village, on of the most in demand remix artists at the moment (Moby, Booka Shade, Justice, Peace Division, Pet Shop Boys, Joakim etc) contributed a great remix on the flipside. Slowly building over reduced drumpatterns their mix culminates into a manic wall of sound. While Poker Flat 81 features the vocal versions of both Trentemøller‘s and Radioslve‘s remixes, the instrumental and dub versions will be released simultaneously More

Little Dragon return with a spectacular second album offering in the fall, a pulsating electro pop epic
that Prince would be proud of! Machine Dreams, with its nagging hooks and gloriously infectious tunes, should finally see the
band break out into the mainstream. Having toured relentlessly since the last record, Little Dragon found themselves to be very
popular on the West coast. After appearing on KCRW’s popular ‘Morning Becomes Eclectic’ show, their album became the
most played on the station after Radiohead. No mean feat for the little dragons from Sweden, especially when the record was
only release digitally! The track ‘Twice’ even got played on hit ABC show Grey’s Anatomy, and After The Rain got licensed to
the Hollwywood motion picture 'The Women' starring Meg Ryan. The band soon came to the attention of David Sitek who
became an instant fan (as did notorious basement dweller DJ Shadow) and he wasted no time asking them to support TV On
The Radio on their US tour in May 2009.
