Adding to this thread with the next release on Bondage-Music is the masterful producer Sascha Dive. Frankfurt-based talent Sascha Dive has a long and esteemed history within house music, releasing material via 8Bit, Raum-Musik and Kwench alongside his own Deep Vibes Recordings, while featuring in Cocoon Recordings, long-standing, ‘In The Mix’ series and gaining support from label boss Sven Väth alongside the likes of Guy Gerber, Maya Jane Coles and Laurent Garnier. What might seem like a perfect sundowner has potential to become a secret weapon for early morning hours too. Release your mind and let the body follow! Whilst speaking of that: " Back On Earth" will make you jack! Pure energy, compressed to a juicy baseline. No more words needed. Next up on Deep Vibes is the probably last but definitely not least Ibiza anthem of the year. Brought together by their love for fat beats, inter dimensional travel & cups of tea; they are on a never-ending journey exploring inner and outer space. With features by JD73, Shovell the drum warrior and Wolfgang Haffner (last know to be on of germany's finest Jazz Drummers and his work with Chaka Khan) Acid Mondays have delivered a fine set of dancefloor bombs, banger, you name it. On SIDE A "El Recorrido" explains what all the hype is actually about: Tribal, deep, raw and playful in its own way. Ibiza callin'. The additional "One Fat Drum" on SIDE B1 and "El Recorrido" (Dub Mix) on SIDE B2 round up, what we considre to be a true club record. Word. Digital bonus? Sure thing! The Negghead Mix of "El Recorrido" comes as a stripped down, super nice and warm version and reminds much more of his solo work on Wax On.

After Frank Roger and Alix Alvarez appeared with their own versions of Sascha Dive's music on the first part of this remix series in 2011, the 2nd part will be acclaimed in equal measure. On Side A1 Chicago house legend Halo feat. Blakkat transform Sascha Dive's original Summer Madness into a straight club track with a groove one just can not resist. On B1 Willi Graff and Tuccilio deliver their interpretation of Underground Railroad - yet another dance floor bomb! A true shaker.. we're loving it!

Sometimes things trun out different than planned. That also applies for remixes one does for other labels: "The Lost Remixes" features two personal favourite Remixes by Sascha Dive, now seeing a release on Vinly for the first time. Side A offers a gentle & laid-back remix for Negghead's "Being" that warms-up every dance-floor just like a sweet summer breeze. Sascha Dive's Remix for the Basil classic "Time To Be Free (Free World)" on Side B is a lot more four to the floor and with its almost epic groove yet proven another Track that you'll hear in clubs at any time of the night. Here are the long awaited remixes of Sascha Dive's "Restless Nights" album. "Jam Sessions #1" is the first out of two 12"s that will be released on Deep Vibes.
On A1 french Deep House Grandeur Frank Roger comes up with a supreme dark but warm remix of "Drums Of The Jungle". A2 features a remix by NYC's Sole Channel Boss Alix Alvarez. His Remix of "The Jam" is sexy as hell and works perfectly on the dance floor.
On B1 Sascha Dive gave his 2010 ueber-hit "Jus Groove" a treatment. The new "Dub Version" is just as catchy as the original and works with full effect.

Next up on Deep Vibes comes Sascha Dive with his killer remixes of Matthew Dear's "Little People (Black City)". Originally released on Spectral Sound (SPC 101) as a digital-only package a vinyl edition had to follow due to public demand.
For maximum sound quality the 20 minute version got shortened to a 15 minute "Vinyl Cut" (A1), while the "Dub Remix" comes in it's original form on the flip-side (B1). Sascha Dive and Matthew Dear met on the road a few years back. In 2008 Matthew Dear featured a remix by the Deep Vibes boss on his Watergate Mix-Compliation. When they played together in Munich in August 2010 Dear asked Dive, if he wanted to do a remix for his upcoming album. The only condition Dear asked him for was that it had to be the wildest and most crazy remix that Dive could possibly do. "Little People (Black City)" is the probably strongest song of Matthew Dear's recently released Album "Black City". Sascha Dive's remixes are on heavy rotation and played by a wide range of DJ's. Make sure you get this joint in the box!

This next release on Heist is a very special one for us. We’ve always stated how big our love for the US house sound is and we have worked as hard as we could to pay homage to the originators of that sound. In that sense, Heist 050 in many ways feels like a gift. On the one hand, it’s a gift to get to run a record label for such a long time and release the music we love. On the other hand, it’s a gift to get to work together with a group of artists that have shaped the sound and scene that we hold so close to our heart. The artists we’re talking about? The legendary Detroit group Scan7.

Scan7 don’t just release great records; they put out their music as a statement. A statement of staying true to the underground and a statement of supporting those in need of support, in need of a voice. This is as relevant today as it was back in 1993 when they released their seminal debut Ep ‘Black Moon Rising’ on Underground Resistance.

27 years later, they are still on top of their game with releases on Transmat, KMS, a recent album on Deeptrax, remixes on Classic and an upcoming reissue of their Tresor released manifest ‘The Resistance”. This EP for Heist is not one to miss. The ‘Sooner than later” EP features 3 original tracks ranging from soulful house to classic deep house, to funked-up techno.

The EP kicks of with “All for me”, a track that oozes Motor City funk with every beat. A bit of live bass, crowd chants, jazzy saxophones and some brilliant work on the keys all come together to create an undeniably warm and life-affirming song. This is soulful house the way it’s supposed to be and we’re sure you’ll be chanting along once you’re a few minutes in.

If you’ve heard any of their recent releases, you’ll know that Scan7 have a deeply rooted love for organs. With “The best is yet to come”, you’ll find out why. The chords, layered strings and sample chops work together for a vintage groove in true Scan7 style. At exactly the right time, you’ll find a new element popping in to add density, variation or buildup to the track, like the lovely pitch-bended lead coming in halfway through the song. This track is true to its genre, and done with so much style and musicality, that you can’t help but love it.

For the final track, we’re moving into deeper Detroit territory where you hear Scan7’s techno roots come into play. Rough 909 drums, live percussion and a sampled live bass all loop into a distinct groove, with organ hits coming in for just the right amount of shuffle.

So there you have it: Our 50th release on Heist. These 3 tracks represent what we love most about the Scan7 sound: They are soulful, powerful and full of funk. We’re not in any way slowing down and if anything, the music on this record pushes us to work even harder. To build bridges, support talent and showcase legends. Enjoy the music and play it from the heart.
