Always fun house craftsman Ali Renault secured another big tune with his 'Piano For The People' which is a chuggy groover that locks you in with its rich atmospheres. Now it gets offered up with remixes from, firstly, Aikhi, who flip it with laidback downtempo drums and some classic and well known chords. Calm then brings his Mellow Acid Dub to sink you in even further and last of all Double Geography bring some more crunchy drum textures and psyched-out synth sounds with echoing vocals and dark, late night sense of mischief.

Closing the Vivod map series is Alessandro Parisi with this stunning ep, Belmont's Revenge. 3 tracks in his slo mo horror jak trade mark style. Crossfire kicks things off nicely with it's pulsing groove followed by Ravens, a slower, brooding type of soundtrack. Flip over for a remix of Sages by the mighty Mick Wills who has done some nice work here. It builds and builds, perfect for getting lost in the fog and strobe. B2 is the original version from Parisi, a much slower, majestic cathedral horror affair. Awesome stuff all round.

Munich's Martin Matiske started his recording career at fifteen with his stunning ep Stars & Galaxy for DJ Hell's Gigollo Records back in 2002. Here he dons 4 fresh tracks for the Vivod label with his trademark electro sound, somewhere between Dopplereffekt, classical & wave. Kicking off the ep is Die Nibelungen, a sort of speak & spell classical piece with an electro backing track. A2 - Bayerischer Wald is a chord heavy majestic bomb in a 5/4 time signature, maybe a stretch too far for the linear techno dj but that's what makes this ep so interesting. B2 - Virtuosic Mechanic harks back to his previous work on Gigollo Records, a more club orientated track which should do some effective damage on the floor. Rounding things off is Kammermusik, a subtle electro ballad. If you like your electro with a heavy classical influence then this is your ep.

Very cool ep from Skatebard on Vivod ! A mixed bag from the prolific Norwegian producer showing us why he's still at the top of his game. Maskindans kicks things off with some speak & spell funk followed by Hissige Helger, a brooding Chicago style banger sure to tear up some discoteques across the planet. On the flip are Langbolgen and Gloymde Skogar. The former is an acid style work out, the latter is more of a subtle, hypnotyizing opus. All very strong tracks. Don't sleep on this. They will go fast !
