GusGus - New Arrivals
2
GusGus - Modern Consumer
GusGus are continuing their weird fusion of 80’s and 90’s vibes in the spirit of their last album DanceOrama. This time its nostalgic futuristic raving, delivering 2 nasty bits for those Dj’s bringing stranger journeys on floor, or some madness when the crowd is vulnerable for some alter reality experience.

Gusgus - Useful Data
The forever exploring electronical entity of a band, Gusgus, has opened yet a new era in their unique sonic multiverse. With their 12th album, the course is set to a strange mysterious place called DanceOrama. A Rave-Mall in a nostalgic future, DanceOrama is the place to be, where you can experience infinite freedom, genre and gender free. Moving from the pulsating new-wave influenced techno pop of the last album “Mobile Home” (2019), Gusgus emits the vibe of DanceOrama on their new album as an arousing, melody-rich hybrid of 80s/90s parties and raves. The 9- track album is slated for a November 10th release. The release is evenly split up in euphoric fusioned pop anthems and genre-free instrumental journeys.
Gusgus‘ last album “Mobile Home” was the later of twin albums that found the band exploring early 80’s new wave influences and reviving them in the iconic Gusgus soundscape. The highlight on the album was a pulsating techno reggae track called “Higher” that introduced a new member into the band, Margre´t Ra´n, the lead singer of “VO¨K”.
Whereas on “Mobile Home”, the concept was stationed in a rural environment of a dystopian side reality, Gusgus now moves to the city. In this city of strange discomforting future omens, DanceOrama stands out as the rave-mall of freedom. Leaving the new wave influences, this album is a strange hybrid of the 80’s and 90’s parties twisted into a genre-free blend of arousing experiences.
The album consists of 5 instrumental tracks and 4 vocal pop songs, ranging from 105-158 bpm and exploring various influences from the 80’s and 90’s and even the 70’s in a strange fusion of techno, trance, italo-disco, house and pop that emits the rawness and innocence of previous decades. The pop songs are quite strictly set as stories related to the mysteries and rumors of DanceOrama. One track in particular will be very exciting for our fans, as it has been a regular final track on our live show since the album “Arabian Horse” in 2011. This is the track “Breaking Down” that was recorded during the album “Mexico” in 2013 with “Earth” and “Ho¨gni” on vocals but, due to emotional turmoil, has never been released until now.

"Over" is the undisputed highlight song of GusGus' brand new album "Arabian Horse". Right in time for high summer season we proudly present a remix package that takes no prisoners. After taking dancefloors worldwide by storm with their remix of Whomadewho's "Every Minute Alone", Italy's hottest export Tale Of Us & Tennis return with another mighty roller. That bassline definitely puts the deep back into deephouse and makes you wonder how sexy this summer will be. Mood Music's Sasse is no stranger to our label. His vocal and dub mixes perfectly catch this summer's omnipresent oldschool house vibe. President Bongo delivers an absolutely massive dark acidic take complete with heavenly strings and things. And last but not least GusGus' very own Bigir Veiran takes control for another uplifting neohouse mix that is slightly reminiscent of a certain Robin S - but very different of course. Voilà - choose your weapon and go party!

Repress!
It's been two years since GusGus graced us with their enigmatic Kompakt debut "24/7". This album was return to form for the trio, earning much acclaim and fanfare thanks to its conceptual rigidity and pure glamour. Conceived solely with the help of two precious Doepfer modular systems and Daniel August's all-pervasive vocals, it could have been easily characterized as Gus Gus' unofficial live album. If you had the chance to catch one of their many live shows on their exhaustive world-wide tour, you know what drive and emotion their show brought to the stage and crowd. Let’s fast forward to present day. The trio comprised of President Bongo, Biggi Veira and Daniel August felt the urge to reunite. They set up a makeshift studio in a summer cottage in the depths of the lava field. Secluded in silence and beauty they began working on their seventh studio album and have delivered "Arabian Horse" - a full length that brims with highlights showcasing GusGus’ versatility and stunning songwriting ability to creative levels that we feel is their greatest accomplishment in their 15+ year history. A vast array of illustrious guest musicians and singers abound on these powerful ten new songs. Most prominently, we welcome the long awaited return of former band member and gifted vocalist Ur?ur "Earth" Hákonardóttir who appears on the three songs “Be With Me”, “Arabian Horse” and “Over”. Hogni Elisson recently released a wonderful album with his band Hjaltalin and lends his voice to some of the album's most memorable and deepest moments. Samúel Jón Samúelsson contributes the elevating, goosebump-inducing string arrangements, Davd Thor Jonsson contributes accordion and the banjo. Even an un-named Gypsy combo leave their mark on "Arabian Horse"! Compared to GusGus’ stripped down predecessor for Kompakt, "Arabian Horse" is much more "in your face" – the songs brim with big gestures, enthralling hooks, pop and soul! GusGus have perfected the craft of balancing that fine line between commercial pop and underground dance music. But who needs compartmentalization when we're talking about music and emotion? Take the powerful schaffel (aka shuffle) anthem "Deep Inside" which makes use of big room chords you'd normally hear in more commercially tunes but balances that with a ferocious bass line and vocal duel that belongs to anyone. This sincerity in their music carries throughout “Arabian Horse”. Another prime example of this is the Högni fronted "Within You" – strings converge with his breathtaking vocals backed by a thoroughly addictive techno bass kick. It’s a fact that GusGus retrace their original influences and have created a dance pop album that equally resonates a forgotten period of early ‘90’s dance pop (think The Beloved), classic house music and urban soul a la Massive Attack. But make no mistake, "Arabian Horse" does not sound like pure retro in any way. It's deeply rooted in the sound of today backed by one of the most state-of-the-art quality productions Kompakt has released to date. Still need a tag? Why not: Icelandic Hi-Tech Soul.

2024 Repress
Tracklist
A. DJ KOZE- DRIVEN
B. ROBAG WRUHME - X-mop 198
Info:
Hart & Tief returns. Pampa's dark bastard. The Proverbial black sheep.
For the second statement from the label, we have the twin voices of DJ Koze and Robag Wruhme. Both are masters at remaining simultaneously identifiable yet surprising, and the freedom afforded by this fledgling label sees them push their respective milieus.
Driven see's Koze return to previously mined percussive tropes and plumb a new minimalist clarity of emotion through maximal means. The track thuds, clicks and pumps in a singular trajectory that belies its complexity and compliments its title.
Not to be outdone, Robag Wruhme provides X-mop 198, a slice of linear horror-techno that deftly re-contextualises its simplistic components in to a jagged and constantly surprising listen, creating a form of body music for the mind.

Following the recent dip into the theo parrish archives that was the twin cities, Phil Weeks' Robsoul imprint looks to another one of Detroit's adopted sons in the form of Rick Wade. Like that recent Parrish reissue, Weeks re-releases another three tracks from wade's bulging discography. The upbeat disco loops of "Players Theme" was originally released on French label Funky Chocolate in 2002 and still sound fresher than anything being plied by the soundcloud dwellers today, while "Can't You See" from 2003 provides a more soulful take on house music. On the flip, the tracky funk and cascading string melodies of "I Feel Good" originally graced Wade's own Harmonie Park imprint in 1998, but sound no less vital today. Essential....

Jackmate, Missing Linkx, - Discodisco2
2
Jackmate, Missing Linkx, - Taterata
Following on from the irresistible debut of Die Vögel's Blaue Moschee, DJ Koze and Marcus Fink continue on in their quest to push the envelope and fill the dancefloor with Pampa Records' second release. Pampa Records looks to highly respected producer and DJ Michel Baumann for the next chapter of the story, and he doesn't disappoint! Undoubtedly one of best producers and DJs on both the German and international scenes, Baumann is well known to fans of quality deep house and techno as the owner of the Philpot and phil e imprints. Baumann has also made a name for himself with the deep, soulful house of SoulPhiction, and with tougher beats as his club-focused alter ego Jackmate; all of this when he's not devoting any spare in-between moments to his many colllaborative projects, like The Missing Linkx. For their first Pampa Records release, Jackmate & Missing Linkx's raw grooves and innate musicality achieve new heights of inventiveness with DIsicodisco2, a record that is already one of the most memorable of the year.Within the first few seconds of "Discodisco2" it's clear this isn't any ordinary club track! A favourite in Koze's recent DJ sets, the atmospheric "Discodisco2" is propelled by the urgent momentum of stomping post-punk and deep funk. A brooding retro groove is built on a three-note bass guitar loop, with the dubbed-out bass lick making for a uniquely organic dancefloor experience. Building to a crescendo with sampled soul vocals and a dueling guitar-and-synth melody, "Discodisco2" is guaranteed to momentarily transform any club into an authentic disco block party. On the flip Jackmate & The Missing Linkx again hone in on the power of instrumentation, resulting in a track that Koze himself says sounds "like Sly Stone in the bathtub"! "TäteräTä" is built on a base of honking brass, handclaps, mouth-made percussion, and tech-tinged beats, before a cello thunders to life to deliver the penultimate moment of psychedelic quirkiness. Melding, moulding and transforming the cello into unrecognisability, it takes on a life of its own at the forefront of the track, before melting into liquid keys and ghostly choruses. By refusing the empty synthesized effects and "modern" sounds found in so many tracks these days, Jackmate & The Missing Lynkx have succeeded with Discodisco2 in creating timeless classics for fans of forward-thinking music.

Ryo Fukui - Scenery
The Standard Edition - Territory - NO Sales to Japan
Ryo Fukui's 1976 highly sought-after jazz masterpiece SCENERY-
LP Edition: Mastered at half speed, 140g vinyl, Sticker
We Release Jazz (WRWTFWW Records' new sister-label) is proud to present its first release, the official reissue of Ryo Fukui's highly sought-after masterpiece Scenery (1976), sourced from the original masters and available on limited edition 180g vinyl mastered at half speed for audiophile sound and on digipack CD.
Unquestionably one of the most important Japanese jazz albums ever recorded, Scenery reveals Ryo Fukui as a miraculously brilliant self-taught pianist fusing modal, bop, and cool jazz influences for a very personal, dexterous and game-changing take on classic standards made famous by Bing Crosby and John Coltrane among others. From "It Could Happen To You" and its serene and calm intro which magically flows into a jubilant and upbeat piece, to the out-of-this-world piano solo of "Early Summer", or the incredible teamwork of "Autumn Leaves" where Fukui leads Satoshi Denpo (bass) and Yoshinori Fukui (drums) into groove heaven, every single note on the album oozes precision, confidence and flair and every single section slides seamlessly into one another, creating a supreme and elegant blend of jazz. Often compared to McCoy Tyner or Bill Evans, Ryo Fukui was a genius in his own right, a true master of his craft whose perfectionism gave birth to some of the greatest music ever recorded. Scenery is his magnum opus and an absolute must-have.
The Hokkaido wizard-pianist followed Scenery with the soulful gem Mellow Dream (also available on We Release Jazz) in 1977. He then focused on improving his live skills, often performing at Sapporo's Slowboat Jazz Club (which he co-founded with his wife Yasuko Fukui) and releasing 2 live albums. Ryo Fukui sadly passed away in March 2016, leaving behind a legacy of works that is sure to captivate jazz lovers for generations to come.

Robag Wruhme - Venq Tolep (Hit Club Version) 06:24
2025 Repress
Tracklist:
A. Nata Alma (Club Smash Hit Version) 08:40
AA Venq Tolep (Hit Club Version) 06:24
Release Info:
Robag Wruhme, working on the material. On the very same piece. And performing two different movements. First, thinking in category Album: who will hear it where? also: mood, position, length. Second, thinking in category Maxisingle: a spinning-tool for the club – another form of another functionality: accelerating the rhythm, lowering the harmonicmelodious, still preserving the nature of the song. And each version should make you HOT for the other!
Nata Alma, a voice loses itself in the infinite, a car brakes, a horse whinnies, the sun scorches relentless. Further, further on, towards the flickering, stoically. Water, flames on the horizon, Fata Morgana, a mirage. »And you might say, we've got no place to go?« - okay? no notokay at all!: Shuffle!
Nata Alma, melancholic Eight-minute-forty. A love song, a wave good-bye: »And you might say, that you need me no more?« sings Sidsel Endresen alongside Bugge Wesseltoft's swells and ebb-aways – metal never sounded so longing; a buzzing swing, a siren call from afar.
Robag Wruhme takes a seat at the organ and plays minor bass notes. He gets up, leaves the room and lays down a dry rock of funk: wooden kick on wooden snare, tight-cut voices, driving hi-hats and shakers, gated synth danglers and percussion loops. Relentless, stoically. »And you might say, that it's over?« – relentless, maybe, but that's how he creates the Further: keep going! dance it off! a new day rising!
And right here. Flip it and keep on moving: Venq Tolep. A summer meadow, grass-stains, a gentle breeze, an early smell of hay. Venq Tolep. Endorphins tickle under the skin. A
percussive spectacle, dance of the insects. Hopping around in flat shoes, the beat is phat and reverberated by a cluster of trees. Stabs on the e-piano set in, picturing the euphoric moment when Loving-feelings walk hand-in-hand with a Hint of Melancholy.
Robag Wruhme, Nata Alma and Venq Tolep - music for dance floors, inside and outside, music for the summer, day and night, and for convertibles on the way there.

"When people ask me what kind of music I do," says Soko, "I usually tell them - Punk secrets". Intimate, lo-fi, crazy, sexy, funny, tear-stained, heartbreaking, often all at once, the explosive young Frenchwoman's songs have already touched people around the world, earning her a massive global following. At one mega-gig in Australia, she had 15,000 people singing along with her. Since her teens, Soko has been on a rollercoaster journey. From a stockpile of over 100 songs, she has now finally whittled down to a selection of 14, her debut album.
Aptly entitled 'I Thought I Was An Alien', it's full of love and loss and worry - the kind of fundamental, life-dictating human feelings, which are so far beyond rational explanation, they really ought to be kept under lock and key, along with that strange apparition from Roswell. Like one of her absolute heroes, Daniel Johnston, however, Soko has the rare ability to sing openly about those feelings, in a way which is utterly compelling, sometimes devastating, but also, completely uplifting. "Most of what I do is like crying on my guitar," she says.
"Why it took me so long to make my album?" she ponders. "It's because I'm a control freak. I wanted to feel totally independent in my music. I wouldn't've been able to release anything before I was sure I could produce myself, and I can play every single instrument, except strings and horns, and control every part that's on the record, and know that I've chosen everything myself, or I've played it myself, or I made the arrangement for it." Like innumerable bedsit troubadours of her generation, Soko started out with just her voice, her acoustic guitar, and GarageBand. After moving to Paris, her early demoes were picked up by radio stations in Denmark, Belgium and Australia, making her too much of a new pop thing, without her own consent. In 2007, her music was used in a Stella McCartney show in Paris. Soko played gigs with Daniel Johnston, MIA, Babyhambles, Adam Green, Jeffrey Lewis, Seasick Steve and many others.
Tracklisting Vinyl:
Side A:
1. I Just Want To Make It New With You
2. I Thought I Was An Alien
3. People Always Look Better In The Sun
4. We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow
5. No More Home, No More Love
6. For Marlon
7. First Love Never Die
8. Treat Your Woman Right
Side B:
1. How Are You
2. Don't You Touch Me
3. Destruction Of The Disgusting Ugly Hate
4. Happy Hippie Birthday
5. I've Been Alone Too Long
6. Why Don't You Eat Me Now You Can
7. You Have A Power On Me

Tracklist:
(1) Sven Väth – Mystic Voices (DE-Q20-22-00006)
(2) Sven Väth – Butoh (DE-Q20-22-00008)
Release Info:
Single release from the forthcoming album “Catharsis”, produced by Sven Va¨th & Gregor Tresher
The second release before the upcoming mighty new Sven Va¨th album “Catharsis” gives you another hint at what´s coming at you! Let us tell you, we couldn´t be more excited for everyone to finally experience Sven´s new masterpiece!
But before we unleash the beast, we decided to release a second single. This time containing two absolute highlight tracks. If you have heard Sven playing in the past months, you will recognize both, as they were pivotal moments in almost every set!
First up we have “Mystic Voices“, a track that was created during the early stages of the album production with Sven gathering ideas and words to finally record the unmistakable vocals during a hectic tour through India, and Gregor spending days and nights on the other side of the planet in his studio to process the stream of inspiration. When the two finally sat down together in the studio, the track emerged quickly. Some would call the instant vibe that magic that every creative mind is longing to find.
“Butoh” is a raw and dark force, influenced by Japanese dance, an art form that deeply touched Sven during his travels on Nippon Island. It´s an otherworldly sounding track, still based in the Techno Realm but heavily twisted by a long break that introduces Japanese percussions that eventually get topped by the haunting vocals of Cana Hatsushiba.

"Civil Defense" was—and still is—a tone poem. It was written in 1984 and first performed in various beatnik-esque coffee houses (with a simple beatbox) in and around Chicago. (I went to college on a full poetry scholarship-- believe it or not!)", as Danny himself says, and we think it's right. "Civil Defense" was recorded at Seagrape Studios, Chicago. Produced by the late David Bell; mixed by Brett Wilcots. It is considered to be one of the earliest vinyl releases of House Music. (Earlier House tunes were shared via mix tapes.) and was never repressed as a legitimate 12". LDdlm is honored to bring you this " long lost piece of the puzzle" in the retelling of Chicago House Music history. The LDdlm edition of the original recordings documents the enduring legacy of this iconic piece of audio history, including the long lost Ron Hardy edit and a reshape of the edit of Ivan Smagghe for the first time on vinyl.
