Opening with the A, 'Veiltail' immerses into the depths of an abyssal realm, where distorted, crunchy synths echo like sonar pulses in the darkness of an underwater cathedral. Amidst the depths, solacing hymn-like pads gently weave through the ethereal atmosphere, crafting a transcendent tale of introspection and longing.

On the B-side, 'Stairway' ascends upward to celestial realms. Guided by broken beats and a minor chord progression, the whining lead extends an ethereal arm, a beacon on the misty mountain. A break in the sky unveils beaming lights, a beckoning call to the heavens where euphoric arpeggios await; self-actualization is realized.

It has been a little over a year since the release of 747's debut album, in which the Canadian masterfully drew notes of inspiration from the 90s to create an enchanting hour-long dream. In his first EP since, 747 returns from a temporal leap, bringing with him a blend of sounds and expressions to forge a timeless trip which hinges on the sounds of the 303.

Opening the release, "you,you" unfolds with a gentle and shimmery padded ambiance of anticipation. Gentle and light-footed percussion is soon interrupted by a dramatic siren, a warning beacon. Frenetic energy ensues, a frantic rush to the floor met with a cloudy head. Encompassed in an envelope of disorienting wailing and intermittent buzzing, but finally grounded by the familiarity of a 4/4 bass drum.

"Does Anybody Remember Laughter?" steps in to relinquish the force of gravity. The animated arpeggio and gleaming singing acid line rise up, uncovering the kaleidoscopic nature of the structural surroundings.

"While My 303 Gently Weeps" divulges further, exposing an underlying grid of dark geometry - binary and robotic. The topology of surfaces becomes increasingly fractalized, until the solo overtakes with a somber sadness. The 303 notes guide the mind on a melancholic and meditative walk along the grand staff, met after the break with a sense of hope and serenity.

To close, "You Missed the Starting Gun" recounts the journey through a twisting mesh of thoughts: sorrow and actualization. A calming hypnotic presence is felt. Stability ensues - an afterglow.

The uplifting track, characterized by its iconic singing 303, is revisited by four masterful artists: Schacke, Tin Man, nthng and Primal Code, each bringing a unique take.

Opening the release, Schacke delivers a fast and euphoric revamp with an infectious groove and floaty atmosphere, while modern acid legend, Tin Man, executes a flawless take embellished with lush pads and deft 303 work.

Introducing the B-side, nthng's vehement rendition is fierce and ethereal in a way only he can deliver - wish granted. To close, Primal Code brings a hypnotic version with an atmospheric ambiance and a nod to the original through dreamy gliding acid notes.

Nicola Dal Sacco treats us to an acid-soaked quartet for his debut solo EP on Aquaregia, a tantalizing follow-up to the Italian producer's contribution to the Acid Analects VA series.

Setting the tone, the title track, "Wirrwarr", revs up with driving drums and swirling pads - a sunrise escapade along a mountain pass. As daybreak approaches, the breakdown hits, introducing warm beaming pads. On the second leg, the journey continues with "Gelato", a spellbinder that melds serpentine acid lines with a vintage flair, navigating hairpins and snaking through narrow hillside corridors; vertigo ensues.

"Parapiglia" continues the trip with an eerie and enchanting lowlight drive. Melancholic acid whines while lush ethereal pads swaddle; a haunting mist rolling over the road. A deep closer, "Linea" guides us down the final stretch through the foothills with a viscous groove and chilled out atmosphere; the final knock back down into first gear.

Joining the label for the first time, the masterful Blazej Malinowski brings three acid-dipped hypnotic hallucinations in his latest record entitled Moods EP.

Casting off, 'Wave' plunges into a subaqueous world with gurgling acid and soft breathy pads - a backwards roll into chop for a lowlight dive. Venturing deeper, tensions rise in 'Silent Resistance' as we are immersed in a viscous acidic bassline. Rubbery bands of kelp slap and entangle us as we make our way through the gloomy benthos.

Over on the B-side, we resurface to the frenetic 'Acid Theory'. The scend of the waves brings an orderly and rhythmic energy to the cut. Crossing the strand, Aquaregia mainstay 747 lightens the mood with a broken beat remix of the B1. Originally published by Tomlab in 2001, “Seleya” is the second full- length issued by Kristian Peters’ Novisad project. Twenty-four years after its initial release, the album’s thirteen loop-based arrangements continue to resonate with striking clarity. Keplar presents Seleya with a previously unreleased bonus track from 2004 and a fresh vinyl cut by LUPO.

These evocative miniatures feel haunted with the passage of time, bearing traces of the exploratory studio workflows, tactile imperfections, and emerging technologies that would have given birth to them: plain DAW manipulations, aliasing digitalia, the tones and timbres of the “misused” equipment ambient musicians utilized before Ableton, Eurorack, and the rise of the boutique electronics that have streamlined electronic music production.

In our present epoch, these compositions feel almost eerily nostalgic, documenting the sort of trembling, wide-eyed spirit and enviable naivety that characterizes cultural production as it ventures into new waters, unfettered by the sediments of established methodology and trend. This tendency to avoid aesthetic orthodoxy results in music that refuses to settle into predictability. Subtle frequencies drift and collide, counterpoint loops run in quiet opposition, and elegant dissonance gives rise to unexpected harmony. The album’s emotional power lies in these tensions, in the way it balances melancholy with beauty and familiarity with complexity.
