Axel Boman’s critically acclaimed double album LUZ/Quest for fire from 2022 gets a remix & dub treatment from one of Scandinavia's finest reggae-and-beyond soundsystems, Trensum Tribe.
”Great, now they sound better that the originals” said Axel when he heard the remixed versions for the first time, excitedly starting to collect the best ones for an album. Having been heavily inspired by Mad Professor’s work for Massive Attack since a young age (listen to No Protection for example), a project like this had been a dream of Axel Boman's for decades.
There is a certain freedom that comes with remixing, where you can step outside yourself as a producer and take risks and chances you might not in your own work, and Trensum Tribe really took an adventurous new path when they approached this music. COEO are back on Toy Tonics! After uninterrupted touring around the globe, followed by a short creative break the guys come back with an even stronger sound. With the new EP they go more underground again. Its addressed to the clubs and night owls out there, who turn night into day and won't stop dancing!
The sound is based on classic house patterns and includes a lot of cool saxophones, big piano stabs & rhythmic piano solos. They even go tribal, use arpeggios and switch into breakbeat heaven. The four Originals are a great next step in the COEO evolution. The unique warm, catchy atmosphere of the tracks can create that special COEO euphoria which made them a lot of fans. From Moodymann to Disclosure, Mall Grab to Kenny Dope, the list is long.

Captured in the heights of Saignelégier, Switzerland, in the middle of a pasture overlooking the Jura mountains, Live in Jura bottles the singular Ill Considered live experience at its most open, responsive, and elemental. From Idris Rahman (sax, flute), Liran Donin (bass), and Emre Ramazanoglu (drums), this is deep free improv built from intuition and heart - an ever-evolving conversation of groove, texture, and spirit. Whispered motifs bloom into towering climaxes; earthy bass surges meet shimmering cymbal work; woodwind lines move from meditative invocation to ecstatic release. It is music shaped by the audience, the environment, and the moment : alive, unrepeatable, and deeply organic.
The bonus D-side extends the album's world with a unique ambient composition made from field-recorded organic sounds of the forest surrounding the concert area. Re-composed into a drifting, luminous piece, it features The Voices of the Alpenglow, blurring the boundary between performance and landscape, human gesture and elemental presence.
