Polish DJ and producer Gogan gets back with vinyl-only "Ride On" EP on his own label Kooky. Side A of the record offers the title track which is a more than seven-minute journey into raw and a bit smoky but well-crafted minimal with a house feeling. The composition is nicely counterbalanced with more rounded, detail-oriented, and dancefloor-friendly remix by Lizz. Side B offers 2 more original tracks by Gogan, where the producer openly experiments with a few genres, intelligently searching for a fresh blend of breakbeat, house, minimal or electro ("In a Perfect World"), at the same time not losing focus on minimal and techy house ("Me and You") in which he definitely feels the most confident.

All the elements that are so characteristic for the Polish producer are still there, but there is also progress, the significant mark of development and challenge. Kooky Music, the Polish label based in the city of Wroclaw, proudly presents its second release, this time by Floog, the already established DJ, producer and 1/3 of a successful live-act project Premiesku.

What is characteristic for the Romanian artist is an eclectic style and an ability to juggle with different kinds of genres, always as if without any effort. This approach will also mark all 4 tracks that Floog serves on this EP. Techy rhythm patterns and trippy atmosphere meet here the beloved melodic aspects of romiminal, with an air of micro-house and its love for details.

Floog's music is no doubt an intelligent music made and tailored especially for dance floors. These tracks will function well in clubs and various beach places attracting open minded dancers and characterized by good sound systems, top quality tunes and a positive vibe.

"On My Way" EP is the first vinyl-only release by the Polish label Kooky Music. Gogan, the co-founder of the label, delivers 3 minimal house tracks that portray both Gogan's long-term deejaying experience, and his ambition to think out of his own box as a musician and constantly improve his production skills. What is essential, is that the Polish producer keeps the dance factor at a high level and does not forget that the main role of a clubbing track is to make people move, this is why we get 3 100% dancefloor killers, often minimalistic in form, but with totally groovy feeling. Last but not least, is the atmospheric remix provided by Silat Beksi, one of the finest producers in the world of minimal house (and more). Keeping it widescreen throughout and the percussion pulls focus. At times slick and sultry, at others more ominous and ill-tempered, we’re dishing out high-velocity dynamics across four distinct trax. Constantly nudging towards the peak-time, but with plenty of breathy sensuality and dappled melody as he flexes a detailed, sound-sensitive approach.

Drums, drums and more drums. You know the deal by now: direct torque in full effect as we traverse the rugged, funked-out and percussive. Plenty of trippy flourish for good measure too, from humid fusions of rainforest FX and hallucinatory detail to light trail synths punching through inky abyss.

It all recalls Terry Francis’ and his Housey Doingz project at the peak of their powers. Big stabs, big forward momentum. Think the golden era of their Wiggle parties circa 1999.

Techno legend Cari Lekebusch debuts on Mind Medizin with an 8-track double pack of underground Techno.Stockholm-based sound architect Cari Lekebusch has helped to shape the sound of the underground over the last two-plus decades. He has long been at the heart of his native scene alongside peers such as Adam Beyer and Joel Mull and heads up his own H. Productions label while also serving up his timeless sounds on cultured outlets such as Drumcode and Planet Rhythm. Opener 'Mind and Matter' opens with quick, compelling drum programming and trippy synth details peeling off thebeats. Muttered vocals bring a dark intensity as the percussion also adds layers of tension. The fantastic 'Freakout' isanother classically inclined and linear techno banger with thudding kicks and futuristic synth lines weaving in and outof the beats. There is no let-up in the pressure with the excellent 'Ninguno es Uno' keeping it deep, driving and late night, this time with squelchy acid lines adding character. 'Heritage' shuts down with a hypnotic blend of shimmering cosmic synth lines and pulsing deep techno drums that keep the mind and body fully locked in. This second half kicks off with 'Cause and Effect', a bustling blend of scuffed-up kicks and snares, glitchy hits and jangling synth sounds that bring great looseness to the driving grooves. The funky 'Handkante' delivers flailing percussive patterns and wisps of synths that spit out of the mix next to a drunken synth lead. 'Strulgubbe' keeps the pressure on with more muscular drums, this time underpinned by darker bass and unsettling synth twangs. The fantastic closer 'Tuli Taivaalla' offers up a serene sound that is backed with sustained chords and marbled with edgy vocals.
