K15 - Always...
An album by K15 feels long overdue. Having made music for over 20 years, consistently released for 1o, it’s a fair comment. If you ask him, he’ll tell you that most of his releases he sees and treats like albums; releases laden with coherent themes, concepts and a sense of identity.
Hope Is Perseverance is another example of this. From the dreamlike haze of ‘life interrupted’, to the textures of ‘hollowed’ and ‘new territories’, this album is rooted in cinematic hues with a touch of beat culture.
The title track is a 9min+ jaunt through soul-stirring string arrangements, whirling electric pianos and the kind of infectious drum programming that we’ve come to expect from K15.
While the album serves as an ode to the importance of hope, it’s also a reminder of the many facets of K15. Enjoy! More

K15 - Tomorrow's Promise
Sounds Familiar returns with the latest instalment of 7InchNails - its home-grown series of 45s, filled with unique jams from some of the most exciting producers around.
Following on from releases by Kaidi Tatham and Dego, up steps London-based DJ and producer K15 for two timeless and sophisticated pieces of future jazz. On the A side, ‘Demo Of Heart’ opens with a dazzling keyboard riff, recalling the sunset vibe of fusion giants like George Duke, Herbie Hancock or Azymuth’s Jose Roberto Bertrami, before breaking out into a syncopated, serpentine jam that feels just about ready to melt into the horizon.
On the B Side, K15 brings a Latin heat to the table, with clipped and skittish percussion dancing around a set of lush chords that open into a lysergic stepper, buoyed, as the title ‘Tomorrow’s Promise’ suggests, by a sense of hope and moving on. More

k15 - Speed of Life
Wild Oats is proud to present Speed Of Life, a new record from London based producer K15. This 6 track double EP explores the idea of the sense of urgency that life can have depending on the frame of mind one is in. We encourage you take time to do some inner exploration to understand what the best use of your energy is in order to have the most harmonious experience you can have in your life. Having a good balanced life starts with the physical and mental state you are in. What we consume on all levels whether orally, visually, sonically or tactilely influences how we think, feel, and react to our environment. This record is the perfect re-calibration tool using vibration to get your mind, body, and soul back into a balanced state. All the while, having a wonderful listening experience that will warm your heart, put a smile on your face, and make you dance.

Whether it’s making hypnotic head-nod heaters, or pulsating dance floor grooves, K15’s music always radiates soul and promise. He has been in the music scene in London for a while, but is a bit of an unsung hero in our eyes. His skill of mixing genres is unmatched. Pulling from different influences regardless of genre or era is what gives his music its distinct style. "Insecurities" is K15's debut on Wild Oats; a 5-track EP with sampled dancefloor classics, re-works, and original music.

Culross Close - Letting Be
Esencia is beyond proud to share the fourth album by Culross Close. Like previous albums it’s both inward and outward facing, something for the individual and the group and ‘Learning To Let Go’ follows this tradition.
Becoming Present is a peaceful refrain, littered with percussion and devotion, encouraging the listener to sit with what is, while Reactive State taps into something else entirely. It’s a hard-hitting ride filled with percussion and decimated drums, woven into a serenading flute that captures the mind for the song’s duration.
The mood changes with Attachments. A tale of two halves, twisting between hypnotic and swirling. Surrender requires time and immersion, as the listener bears witness to an enthralling interaction between drums and keys, eventually drifting into the soul-inflected Grounding.
The magic in Letting Be unfolds naturally. From the majestic string and harp arrangements, to the metronome of the percussion, each musician finds equanimity, place and peace in the composition. Letting Go…well, that speaks for itself.
The album closes with Forward, Only. This is the sound of a group of musicians comfortable in their stride and confident in their thinking. Ready to move with whatever happens. More

Culross Close - The Will To Change (I,II)
Esencia are proud to present the third album by Culross Close – Pressure. The album opens with the sound of PRESSURE! a world where synths blend with keys and the visceral expressions of city life. Things then move from minimalist expressions to beat-driven fusion. With searing string and trumpet arrangement courtesy of Yelfris Valdes, To Belong straddles beat-driven fusion and jazz with mastery. Misguided takes things up a notch, with breakneck rhythms and an enchanting melody. The mood changes on Tipping Point, with the quintet heading into psychedelic territory.
Convictions is a sombre piece, laced with keys and heartfelt intentions. Shifts is both delicate and challenging, stirring and settling. The Will To Change is a solo piano piece and the album’s closer, The Will To Change (I,II) showcases Culross Close at their best: playful, considered and able to hold a groove. Enjoy! More
