Third transmission of the SK11X series off-shoot helmed by Setaoc Mass comes via rising Belgian protege Border One. A staple figure of the respected Voltage Festival in his own country, Border One's raw, insistent sound has seen him release on Key Vinyl, Form & Function, and his own self-titled imprint whilst also featuring on DVS1's revered fabric mix. On the Restless EP however he hits his stride, steadily building intensity through restrained repetition and droning, hypnotic sound design on the opening pairing of "Crude". On the B-side, "Derail" clashes harsher hi-hats to a looping, angst-riddled groove, whilst "Restless" releases the tension with its bouncier pummel and high-pressure torque. More

Brighton-based producer Rene Wise is next to land on Setaoc Mass' SK11_X offshoot, coming off the back of a batch of releases on Luke Slater's respected Mote Evolver imprint and a recent collaboration with Rodhad, with his own purist take on groovy yet hypnotic, minimal techno. Wise offers four variations of precision-drilled rolling club-tools, first with the static-charged, tribal calls of "Pleasure Note", to the bouncier, groove-laced "Swamp Dancer". On the flip side, "Hollow" focuses the intensity, whilst "Changa" completes the home-straight with its boundless energy and delirium inducing synth parts. More

Berlin based, Manchester born producer who needs little introduction releases the 8th installment of his SK_eleven label.
In keeping with the aesthetics of the label's previous release SK11007PT1, Sam pushes things further on Exrela, with the title track edging the boundaries of his sound, the stripped back full force drums running throughout, are met harmoniously with the otherworldly atmospheres immersing the track, while the addictive, polyrhythmic sequence keeps you hooked throughout. The B1 track "Maniac" tones things down a notch - percussive and lighthearted bells undulate while the percussion maintains the momentum and intensity. "Dispute" rounds off the EP, the cut harking back to his older, melodic roots albeit with a fresh twist. More

In 2000, Leonora Epremian collaborated with Evasive Records' founder Rob Pearson to produce a remarkable three-track EP, marking the fourth vinyl release on the label. Recorded at the renowned Online Studios in Croydon, South London, this EP captures the essence of a pivotal era in London's Tech House scene.

"Remember" and "My Soul" epitomize the quintessential London Tech House sound, their polished production still capable of energizing dance floors 24 years later. The breakbeat track "Promoseus" gained significant traction, becoming a staple in many DJs' collections, notably championed by Adam Freeland in his club sets and on his acclaimed Kiss FM radio show.

Due to the rarity and demand, original copies of this EP have fetched up to £150. This repress offers a unique opportunity to own a genuine piece of Tech House and Tech Breaks history, ensuring that these timeless tracks continue to resonate with new and seasoned listeners alike. More

Last year marked the reemergence of Anoesis following a 20-year hiatus. A highly respected producer across the ‘90s, specialising in interstellar IDM and electronica, Howard Dodd rose from his statis to release two new albums alongside a five-track EP on Cyphon Recordings last year. A bold statement and stake in the ground showcasing that Dodd’s production prowess has not faltered in that time, but has rather taken on a fresh vitality in this new chapter.

The Megacognition EP exudes Dodd’s distinctive style. A master at making tracks that sound like they were created in an extraterrestrial laboratory, fed by long lost tapes of Detroit techno from ‘Planet Earth’.

‘Vision Off’ opens the EP. Subaquatic rumblings with precision drum programming that dials from reverberating kicks to crunched claps. Trembling basslines and hypnotising synths entice you to the depths, as arps trickle to the top disorientating your brain.

‘Do Don’t Don’t Do’ and ‘Polybius’ follow. The former, a spiralling, off-kilter web of interlocking synthesis, that’s both dizzying and harmonising in the same breath. The latter a dubbed-out, minimal house groover packed with tactile basslines, dusty drum loops and echoed vocal samples.

Take to ‘New Style of Life’ for a transfixing dose of twisted Martian music, guaranteed to cause a stir. Warped electro meets cybertronic electronica with a techno edge. ‘Voxelle’ then closes out the EP. A soul-rousing cut of euphoric deep house. Stargazed, sunrise hazed, it’s a track that can be deployed anytime, anywhere and is sure to leave a lasting mark. Layers of luscious pads and celestial strings topped with an infectious synthline that will suspend you weightlessly in a bubble of worry-banishing brilliance.

Active in an age where talent, diligence and taste meant more than social media traction and algorithmic obedience, Dodd’s versatility and class have clearly never waned since those early days. If anything, the Megacognition EP shows it is as strong as it has ever been. More

One of the releases we're really hyped about! This was Eunice Collins ONLY release EVER! Released on the tiny Mod-Art label from Chicago in 1974, the hypnotically alluring "At The Hotel" has finally emerged from the shadows over the last 10 years or so. In fact, it's a bona-fide cult classic now with no less than three recent samplings by Lion Babe, Alkalino and Flamingosis. We are proud to re-release this totally unique recording on the original Mod-Art imprint.

Also, worth checking is the out-of-this-world flute instrumental version on the flip. Probably one of the most individual Modern Soul records ever. Current value is in the £750 region for a decent copy. Expect plenty of all-round action on this and it should work across multiple scenes. Plus, it will sell forever. We are so lucky to get these works-of-art out there again. More

Release Note:
Vitess joins the Shall Not Fade family with a vibrant contribution to our Season Series. Retroactive City sees the Parisian talent helm the uplifting house sound for which his prolific live sets have become known.

Easing us in is the down-tempo slow burner "Cockpit" with synth arpeggios that bubble playfully on the surface of layered ambience and a modest two-step rhythm. The next two tracks take things up a notch with funk-infused melodies ("Fantasia") and old school Robin S-esque organ samples which make for a fiercely modern take on a classic deep house sound ("Popeye").

Flip to the B side and thumping floor-fillers "No Dancing" and "Ratz" maintain the pace before "Grand Turismo" switches things up completely. Jungle drums rattle under luscious pads before mutating into 4X4 to make the perfect closer - both to the EP and to any DJ set.
