Alexis Cabrera debuts on FUSE sister imprint Infuse as he releases his four-track ‘Acidity’ EP. Argentinian born, Berlin-based producer and live act Alexis Cabrera has emerged as one of South America’s finest electronic music exports with a string of stand-out releases via the likes of Raum…Musik, Moscow, Yaji and Salty Nuts over the past few years alone. A co-founder of Fun Records alongside fellow Argentian Barem, Cabrera’s sophisticated, groove-heavy sound combined with his impressive live performances have seen him take to world renowned venues such as Watergate, Tresor and Hoppetosse in his adopted hometown, and September now welcomes another ‘feather in his cap’ as he makes his debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse to deliver his four-track ‘Acidity’ EP. Taking cues from its title, lead cut ‘Acidity’ unveils a bubbling acid-driven production guided by sweeping synths and slick drum licks, whilst ‘Bulevardò’ journeys through warping electronics, shuffling percussion and off-kilter vocal murmurs to offer up a twisting, hypnotic ride. Following his appearance on _NRV001, Dragomir returns with his solo debut for the label—a deep and driving four-tracker, backed by two standout remixes from Lizz. ‘Elisabeth’ sets the tone with a tense, stripped groove that slowly uncoils across the A1, while ‘Freaks’ rides a more playful, shifty rhythm laced with micro stabs and broken vocal hints. gyrofield debuts on XL Recordings as part of the iconic house bag series with ‘These Heavens’. The EP is an exploration into the universe and the beauty of nature via a series of shapeshifting sonics that are just as well-suited for personal introspection as they are for sweaty underground dancefloors. On the release, gyrofield says “I see a lot of value in creating danceable music that also touches base on atmospheric and spaced-out sounds. I’m a big fan of a lot of Drum and Bass that has come out but the influences for this record stem just as much from electro and techno like I Hate Models, Djrum to synth ambient, post-rock, and experimental pop a la Bjork.”

gyrofield is fast becoming electronic music’s most exciting new Drum & Bass talent. Their arrival on the scene was an anomaly. Aged 9, they discovered electronic music via the internet, stumbling across the sounds of Skrillex (Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites) and Noisia (Split The Atom) on YouTube. The otherworldly sounds intrigued gyrofield and so began their self-made journey in music. It was only after visiting Bristol at 17 that gyrofield stepped foot into a club for the first time at Unchained Recordings’ takeover of The Love Inn. This experience was transformative and ignited a new ambition in her. In four short years since then, gyrofield has gone from DIY DJ/producer to a NTS resident with releases ranging from Drum & Bass to Jungle to Ambient Techno to Dubstep via Metalheadz, Critical, Deadbeats, and Noisia’s VISION, to name a few. They have amassed a growing committed fanbase that includes Tim Reaper, DJ Flight, Doc Scott, IMANU and Joy Orbison.

Co-Accused return for their second release of 2024 with a hand picked V/A sharing sounds from some of
the label’s favourite electro and techno producers. Underground legends and fearsome up-and-comers
come on board to the Glasgow based label with Luke’s Anger, SOD-90, Steve Allman, Mal_Hombre and
Parand delivering tracks. CR006 VA is selected for the dancefloor, tried and tested in Co-Accused's own
DJ sets.

Luke’s Anger launches the EP with some up for it wonky business in ‘Choplifter’. From one of the
masters of the wonky techno sound Luke’s Anger continues in full form with his tight yet askew playful
beats. SOD-90 comes in next with ‘Saving Up For Botox’ with his fearless punk take on the electro sound
- his own brand of high intensity atmospherics mixed with distorted synth lines, vocals and kicking
breaks. Cultivated Electronics’ Steve Allman leads the B Side with ‘This Is Not A Dream’ calling on driving
hoover bass and haunting synths in classic UK electro style. For the B2 Mal_Hombre takes the EP down
a deeper and more spatial path with ‘Triangulation’ with delicately detailed and propulsive techno, a long
time friend of the label whose debut album Andromeda Outpost released on Jeff Mill’s iconic Axis
Records. Topping the whole thing off Berlin based producer and Avoidant alumni Parand delivers the final
hit with Bloc - a powerful, pitch black, driving heads down moment.

Lars Huismann is back on Mutual Rytm with the much-anticipated third volume of his 'Sounds From The Past' trilogy.

A core part of SHDW & Obscure Shape's ever more crucial Mutual Rytm imprint thanks to his timeless techno offerings as part of his ongoing 'Sounds From The Past' series, Berlin-based DJ/producer Lars Huismann's stock continues to rise release by release as a talent merging influences from the past with forward-thinking nuances of the future. Drawing on the early 2000 techno sound, he embellishes it with his own perspective, as evidenced by his earlier releases on the label. This latest six-track offering is another accomplished outing from this unique talent as he concludes the three-part series on the label in style.

The title track 'Sound From The Past III' opens up with a finely filtered chord groove that provides a smooth and hypnotising foundation. A subtle bassline, buoyant kick drums, and embedded vocal patterns harmonise with the synths, unveiling a smooth linear groove that soon sweeps you up.

'Fusion' brings more intensity with its barreling drum kicks, a dirty driving bassline, and melodies flashing by like headlights on an intergalactic motorway, with the overhanging pent-up energy inescapable. Next, 'Shimmer' rides on vast, heavy layered drums that are warm, and comforting as the track travels through a journey of diverse dub techno elements.

Like in 'Loucura', taken from 'Sounds From The Past II', Lars again showcases his strong influences from Brazilian and Latin music. On 'Estar Farto', the drums and bass are tightly interwoven, racing beneath bright and funky synth lines that bring ever-evolving shades of colour. A jazz drummer himself, the music transports into the groove via intelligent brass chord progressions and fine-tuned vocal and percussion elements.

It's straight dance floor business on the closing vinyl production 'Bittersweet', with its muted synth smears darting over more macho drum programming, while digital bonus 'Dusty Lick' is an unrelenting, jazzy, percussion-driven banger that hits hard and heavy in all the right places.

Opener 'Early Morning Acceleration' sets the tone early and dives into a looping ride through slinking hats and bustling arrangements - combining classic influences with forward thinking touches to reveal a dynamic slice of techno. Next, 'Maximum Performance' fuses swelling low-ends, sharp percussion and vibrant leads, while 'Love Blaster' delivers an all out fiesta armed with rolling drums, sharp whistles and rich chords. On the flip, B1 'Night Genesis' sees hypnotic loopy vocals balanced by tough kicks and luminous synths, before 'Spirit Enhancer' showcases a soulful trip as resonant electronics work around the track's tunnelling groove.
