B From E is a Happiness Therapy mainstay. Just last month the Dane remixed Mogan’s Monstera Tears, on the label’s lauded HT17 release. Now he follows this up with his first full Happiness Therapy EP in Just At Night. Featuring a remix by fellow Danish regular Niles Cooper, it marks a highlight occasion for the thriving Copenhagen talent.

Balancing a well-established career in Denmark with an international tour schedule is no mean feat, but in B From E’s case, that’s exactly what the Danish mainstay has been up to over the years. From Traxx Underground to Happiness Therapy, to being head of his own label Buddahood, his productions are downright infectious. B From E aka. Mr Free (Tartelet Records / Traxx Underground / Copenhagen Underground Posse) conveys his modern take on early techno and breakbeats spiked with trance elements on "The Year 8080" for his own, resurrected Buddahood imprint.
Deep atmospheres, sharp melodies and uplifting energy are the main ingredients of the sound of B From E, the housier moniker of the Danish producer and musician Frej Levin. With room for variety, he has created a playground in favour of trancey detours inspired by US techno and early European house music. The encounter between ghetto music and the mindset of finding altered states through a endless, timeless trance is what Frej invites us into - namely his buddha "hood".

B FROM E (Frej Garcia Levin) represents a new generation of talented young artists making waves in Copenhagen. Of Mexican-Danish descent, and born and raised in the notorious tower blocks of the south-western suburbs of Copenhagen, the 27-year old is on the up-and- up. In high demand as the founder of boom bap rap group NATKAT, producer of pop outfit Ny Sensei (New Sensei) and head of tape-only label Buddahood, the multi-talent seems to have a hand in everything at the moment. His 2017 debut ‘Porno TR-XXX’ (C.U.P) saw some of the hottest names in the game spinning B FROM E at last year’s Dekmantel festival, resulting in offers from several well-known record labels. His new record on Tartelet Records comes as four cuts exploring different paths of the garage house sound. The opener ‘Dark Energy’ is fueled by filthy breaks and a nostalgic theme that would not be out of place in an early Atari computer game. ‘The People (Dream Mix)’ is a trippy tour through subtle layered melodies, carried by a stripped-back groove. On the B-side you will find ‘Positive Sister (2605 Tool)’: a chunky cut with a serious bassline. Saving the best for last, ‘You Will See’, rounds off the record in style. Physical Education present their first release of 2025, Metamorphosis from SY. Originally from Manchester and now based in Portugal after years in Berlin, SY’s seasoned craft materialises in his groovy, housey tracks with old school rave and progressive house touches.

Side A opens with the energy inducing ‘Beyond Expectations’, translated also into ‘Warehouse 92’. On Side B, the richly textured, retro-leaning, and irresistibly danceable ‘Metamorphosis’ creates a solid footing for Paolo Mosca’s remix, which closes the record.

Cyan. A moniker for one of the ‘90s standout musical exponents: Bryan Zentz.

A firm favourite in vintage house circles, Physical Education will soon welcome him to the fold. They’ll be re-issuing tracks from his discography to create Selections, a Cyan release for today’s scene.

Iodine and I Hear Voices come from Zentz’s debut 1994 EP: Peacekeeper. Blissfully futuristic, we’re taken down a proverbial wormhole thanks to rolling acid pulses and glitchy synth lines.

On the B side, I Hear Voices receives a modern re-working before proceedings finish on Strata 2, a track taken from the American’s 1995 release: Starkness.

“It’s just too easy to make a standard dance track,” Aphex Twin said of his mindset back in 1992. “You’ve got to put a bit of thought into it to get something a bit different.” ‘Didgeridoo’ was released on the Belgian R&S Records label in 1992, and originally peaked at #55 in the UK singles chart in May of that year. Over the last 32 years the track has become one of the essential Aphex Twin tracks in a gargantuan catalogue that continues to amaze and inspire. “I wanted to have some tracks to play to finish the raves I used to play in Cornwall, to really kill everybody off so they couldn’t dance,” Richard D James, AKA Aphex, told Select magazine back in the 90s. “Digeridoo came out of that.” Released as a 4 track EP that also included early Aphex productions (now classics) including the industrial, acidic clang of ‘Flap Head’ and hyperbolic futurism of ‘Isopropanol’, the release cemented a relationship with the R&S label that went on to release the ‘Xylem Tube’ EP and the pivotal album ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’ in the same year. The label’s owner & A&R Renaat Vandepapeliere reflected “When I first heard Aphex Twin’s music I said, ‘This is it!’, and everybody else said, ‘You’re crazy!’ …a lot of the hardcore R&S fans dropped us. To them it wasn’t music.” ‘Didgeridoo’ (Expanded Edition) is the first time the EP has been re-issued with extra material. Whilst digging in his DAT archive (allegedly stored in an airtight military ammo box), Richard James revisited the recordings, encoding them through a Nakamichi CR7e cassette deck, using the customised deck with vari-speed to encode at speeds “felt right at the time”. Alongside these CR7e versions, the original mixes have been remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering, offering a dilated insight into one of electronic music’s most endearing releases.

Cult soca disco 12”, produced by Leston Paul and originally released in 1984 - now available for the first time in 40 years.

Barbara Hernandez was working as a backing singer for Kool and the Gang in New York at the time the track was recorded, and the session featured their horn section as well as a who’s who of the Trinidad music scene for what would be Barbara’s only solo release. Suffering from poor distribution at the time of release, the 12” failed to make waves at the time but is now lovingly remastered and cut loud, a sure fire dancefloor sure shot.

Just had to do it, this timeless classic "Sugar man" by Sixto Rodriguez. An immense tune. OG released on the funk and soul label; Sussex records. With a top line up of musicains - Bob Babbitt on bass and Dennis coffey on Guitar; Gordon Staples did the stunning Strings arrangment and Mike Theodore producer...This was previously issued as a 7" in the 70s, but sell for well over £100.00. We have used the OG White colour sleeve design instead of the South African issue with a black sleeve, in keeping with format styles. On the flip we have take another track from the LP "Only good for conversation" Heavy groove with nice bass drum loop, it has a Eugene McDaniels vibes.
